To all looking for the original music performance: It was composed for the movie "Le mépris", by Jean-Luc Godard in 1963, with Brigitte Bardot playing the main part as Camille, to whom the title refers to. Perhaps BB's best acting role and one of the greatest soundtrack from Delerue, as he did for e.g. Jules et Jim, L'important c'est d'aimer, Platoon...

I'm french and hate Godard BUT, this is a legend film, like most of the pictures of Mr SCORCESE (Means Streets, Goodfellas & Casino rules... for centuries...).

I have to say this is one of the best films I ever seen. Im just glad I brought this on DVD and the soundtrack is just awesome. Martin Scorses is top class as a director and Robert De Niro pure class. They don't make movies like this no more.

Right after Ace finishes this final, closing sentence he removes his glasses and stares off into space, perhaps contemplating on the past, what might have been. It makes for a very poignant moment, and the perfect way to cap off a great movie.
