To all looking for the original music performance: It was composed for the movie "Le mépris", by Jean-Luc Godard in 1963, with Brigitte Bardot playing the main part as Camille, to whom the title refers to. Perhaps BB's best acting role and one of the greatest soundtrack from Delerue, as he did for e.g. Jules et Jim, L'important c'est d'aimer, Platoon...
@mottetar Always surprised to see a foreigner interested by our national seventh Art production... "Le Mépris" from Jean-Luc Godard is one of the most beautiful film I've ever seen. I'm french and hate Godard BUT, this is a legend film, like most of the pictures of Mr SCORCESE (Means Streets, Goodfellas & Casino rules... for centuries...).
'Normally, my prospects of coming back alive from a meeting with Nicky were 99 out of 100. But this time, when I heard him say 'a couple of hundred yards down the road', I gave myself 50-50.'
@MrBbminor You said it so well. And something about the way he takes off his glasses gets me every time. But at least he did find some solace in making picks, "So why mess up a good thing. And that's that."
Hello, these items critically functions effectively, I ran across an even more revamped version of it at roulettecash#org at no cost, and I produced some significant profit.
If you wanna know where the beginning music from casino came from, copy and paste the following into the youtube search bar: St. Matthew Passion, BWV 244 - Chorus: 'Wir setzen uns mit Tränen nieder'
I have to say this is one of the best films I ever seen. Im just glad I brought this on DVD and the soundtrack is just awesome. Martin Scorses is top class as a director and Robert De Niro pure class. They don't make movies like this no more.
@ThePeakIsNeverPassed yeah i think jane fonda was in that advert right? when i first saw that, i went and watched this movie all over again. i never realised why i loved that "you jew mudderfuker you" scene until i saw that advert. it made me realise that i love that scene for the music not the content.
@ThePeakIsNeverPassed This is not the name of the song. Is the name from the Soundtrack (Casino)Matthaus Passion. Im trying to look for it on iTunes right now as im typing this. But I dont see the freakin Album (I hate iTunes!)
Took me a while to realize the sadness of this film's ending, makes you look back on all its moments and why Ace shouldnt of took charge of a casino in the first place :(
@legendkiller2004 thhats exactly the point of the whoole movie in those words. you can still hustle and gamble and be a gangster, make money for the fokes, and you dont have to get to big... thats when it allll goes down hill when you get in over your head with all the glamour and money...well put... looovee
Right after Ace finishes this final, closing sentence he removes his glasses and stares off into space, perhaps contemplating on the past, what might have been. It makes for a very poignant moment, and the perfect way to cap off a great movie.
Whenever I hear this song, it brings me back to Casino and all its great moments. Films made like this are the reason why I love gangster films. They simply don't make them like this anymore.

I've been wondering what this came from for ages. It's originally the score to the movie "Contempt" (1963). In case anyone was wondering.
