  • Just perfect song & movie... ♥

  • Anyone that have seen the movie that knows roughly when I can see The Boys From Brazil featured in Casino ?

  • I found the image on IMDB, Here h**p://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_loamzfgajq1qh0lquo1_500.jpg , unfortunately it's the biggest pic i found

  • To all looking for the original music performance: It was composed for the movie "Le mépris", by Jean-Luc Godard in 1963, with Brigitte Bardot playing the main part as Camille, to whom the title refers to. Perhaps BB's best acting role and one of the greatest soundtrack from Delerue, as he did for e.g. Jules et Jim, L'important c'est d'aimer, Platoon...

  • @mottetar Always surprised to see a foreigner interested by our national seventh Art production... "Le Mépris" from Jean-Luc Godard is one of the most beautiful film I've ever seen. I'm french and hate Godard BUT, this is a legend film, like most of the pictures of Mr SCORCESE (Means Streets, Goodfellas & Casino rules... for centuries...).

  • The movie is good because its an Epic. One of my favorites of All Time.

  • To all who asked, this track is from Jean Luc Godard's movie : Le Mépris (1963).

  • where did you get this picture from please

  • that would be an excellnt canvas picture

  • How can't u not like this masterpice ? i'm incompatible in understanding /dislikes on this pice

  • After watching Nicky Santoro's death scene and listening to this theme shortly after, you're sure to come out of the cinema shaking.

  • Epic Photo !! thumbs up if u agree !

  • YEAHHHH!!!!!!!

best trio in Hollywood's history ,marty , bob and pesci.

  • God, every time I hear this song towards the end I just thought about how much of a masterpiece this movie is.

  • 'Normally, my prospects of coming back alive from a meeting with Nicky were 99 out of 100. But this time, when I heard him say 'a couple of hundred yards down the road', I gave myself 50-50.'

  • @videoclog HAha

  • Appropriately tragic. Clearly tapping into Bach's output.

  • gahhh i hate endings ):

  • @MrBbminor You said it so well. And something about the way he takes off his glasses gets me every time. But at least he did find some solace in making picks, "So why mess up a good thing. And that's that."

  • Martin Scorsese has the best taste in what music fits in his films!

  • song please ?

  • DE NIRO IS THE FILM.!

  • And that's that.

  • "When I heard him say "a couple of hundred yards down the road", I gave myself 50-50."

  • I've been wondering what this came from for ages. It's originally the score to the movie "Contempt" (1963). In case anyone was wondering.

  • If you wanna know where the beginning music from casino came from, copy and paste the following into the youtube search bar: St. Matthew Passion, BWV 244 - Chorus: 'Wir setzen uns mit Tränen nieder'

  • @bmpeak Thank ya! I've been looking for that song since yesterday without any luck. I just saw the movie then and it's one of my favorites now

  • I have to say this is one of the best films I ever seen. Im just glad I brought this on DVD and the soundtrack is just awesome. Martin Scorses is top class as a director and Robert De Niro pure class. They don't make movies like this no more.

  • Saw the movie yesterday and still has one of the best openingcredits ever! (music is beautifull)

  • somebody knows the name of the theme when the movie starts?

  • Casino is one of the best movies ever

  • Amazing, amazing film...Up there with GoodFellas, absolutely...

  • What other movies did they use this in? I swear i heard this before...

  • @DeathrowRecords1995

I'm not sure. I heard it on some advert for face cream a few years ago though, pretty weird.

  • @ThePeakIsNeverPassed

It was used in the french film "Le Mépris" with Brigitte Bardot

  • @ThePeakIsNeverPassed yeah!! it's true! xD

  • @ThePeakIsNeverPassed its origgianlly from le mepris

  • @ThePeakIsNeverPassed yeah i think jane fonda was in that advert right? when i first saw that, i went and watched this movie all over again. i never realised why i loved that "you jew mudderfuker you" scene until i saw that advert. it made me realise that i love that scene for the music not the content.

  • @DeathrowRecords1995

This song is from "Le Mépris" (Contempt) by Jean-Luc Godard.

  • @DeathrowRecords1995

It was used in the french film "Le Mépris" with Brigitte Bardot

  • @DeathrowRecords1995

At around the 1 min 30 mark they used that part in silence of the lambs

  • @PUMPKIN1080 YES THATS IT THANK U OMG

  • @DeathrowRecords1995

It's from the french movie "Le Mépris" in 1963

  • @DeathrowRecords1995

It is originally from the soundtrack of "Le Mépris", a 1963 made Brigitte Bardot movie.

  • Comment removed

  • @DeathrowRecords1995

Jean-Luc Godard's 1963 French movie "Contempt", or "Le mépris" if you prefer.

Probably others too, but ah dinnae ken.

  • @DeathrowRecords1995 This was originally used in the 1963 movie by Jean Luc Godard "Le Mépris", one of the greatest movies of all time!!

  • they had it all but still fucked it up in end i guess no one stays at the top for ever

  • @Rejoindreserna

I guess you mean song, Its in the description...Contempt - Theme De Camille by Georges Delerue.

  • @ThePeakIsNeverPassed This is not the name of the song. Is the name from the Soundtrack (Casino)Matthaus Passion. Im trying to look for it on iTunes right now as im typing this. But I dont see the freakin Album (I hate iTunes!)

  • Very good picture of the movie, one that comes very close to how the realtime figures looked like.

  • love this song its so sad when everything couldve been sweet, anthony spilotro da gangstar stuff it up

  • @JEDikINgZ

I know what you mean. All the glitz, glamour and fortune could, inevitably, not save them from themselves. What a pity.

  • @ThePeakIsNeverPassed They never realized how good they had it until it was all gone. A real pity.

  • @JEDikINgZ It's not a song.....

  • Took me a while to realize the sadness of this film's ending, makes you look back on all its moments and why Ace shouldnt of took charge of a casino in the first place :(

  • "I could still pick winners and I could still make money for all kinds of people back home, and why mess up a good thing...and that's that."

    -Robert De Niro

    Casino

  • @legendkiller2004

Possibly the best quote of the whole movie, imo.

  • @MinsterRogers

    There's always one....

  • @legendkiller2004 thhats exactly the point of the whoole movie in those words. you can still hustle and gamble and be a gangster, make money for the fokes, and you dont have to get to big... thats when it allll goes down hill when you get in over your head with all the glamour and money...well put... looovee

  • @legendkiller2004

Right after Ace finishes this final, closing sentence he removes his glasses and stares off into space, perhaps contemplating on the past, what might have been. It makes for a very poignant moment, and the perfect way to cap off a great movie.

  • Whenever I hear this song, it brings me back to Casino and all its great moments. Films made like this are the reason why I love gangster films. They simply don't make them like this anymore.

  • @legendkiller2004

you are right and particullary this movie who is so great and make me feel crazy when i hear this music

  • @legendkiller2004 they certainly dooo not make them like this anymore.... they should dedicate like a weekend to gangster films, goodfellas, casino, the godfather(s), carlitos way, scarface.... just all the goood oldies, technology is great but movies just arent the same anymore...

  • @legendkiller2004 Well they do still make a few good gangster films nowadays... It's just they don't make as many... Look at 'American Gangster' for example. Now that was a great film! :)

  • @Jkoo98 and 'Public Enemies'. It's 'bout time we had another though...

  • NICE SONG! VERY NICE PICTURE!

  • @LHUGYLHUGY Agreed, man!
