This kind of clip, and quality of sound and playing is a good adjunct to the wonderful "Standing In The Shadows Of Motown" book and tape(/CD) set which turned so many of us on to JJ and it's lovely to have more demo bass tracks around. Thanks mate.
this is really awesome playing i would love to play this. cant find tabs or notes anywhere. did you work it out yourself or what? wondering if you could post the tabs or notes for it? thanks =D
wow, thats excellent.. any chance of a tab? I have to play this in college in a few weeks and its gonna be a bit of a challenge, a bit of A HUGE CHALLENGE. HELP!
Jamersonshook, you are bad!!!! on the bass. I knew as a child a lot of the Motown songs that I loved was by bass. I found out the bass player was James Jamerson. RIP James! You are one of the best!
Go for it fellow!!! I've just started playing the bass. I've learned more from your sessions in a few days than I have studying other sources for MONTHS. I started as therapy for these old "Ritis" filled fingers -- I'm doing much better with everything now. That old school musis makes learning so much easier. Heck... I forget I'm hurting!!! Thanks X 1,000,000,000
How sweet it is to listen to you play! My name is Robin and I'm Sandra Edwards daughter. You are a bass genius. I've listened to most of your other stuff and I'm hooked.

It's great to find a site that shows the bass lines. I'm a guitar player so it is always kind of a mystery to me -but no more! Thanks for posting

That good old funk makes me feel sooo good. Keep 'em coming, you're on the frontline keeping our faith in good old bass-lines alive and burning.
