  • We have the same problem on our 2007 Kia Sedona only ours opened while driving at 40mph and would not shut. Kia replaced modules and seven months later the same thing again. This time they won't pay for it. Could you image a child falling out of the car while driving. I will not pay for the repairs and I am going to contact proper officials. This is a design failure that can have catastrophic results, this problem makes Toyota look like a good company,

  • Why are people so lazy these days???

  • thats what you get with a kia

  • You bought yourself a Kia, what did you expect? It to be well-built? Stick with japanese vehicles.

  • The kid is thinking"dad why are you opening and closing the door so much, are you drunk again"?

  • Our Lexus GS Hybrid has all 4 electric open and close doors.

  • stop fucking about with it and get your ass back to the garage and show them that they have sold you a dodgy car or take the fuckers to court

  • We have the same problem with our kia Sedona 2006. The driver sliding door doesn't work. When the car is running for 5 minutes. The door works but the auto realease for the door doesn't work!!! So we have hold the handle till the door opens.

  • We had the same problem with our GM minivan.

  • common issue lol

  • there's a tsb on it. take it to the dealer to have them put new control modules in it.

  • @kiaracer05 kias warranty is good but thyll find every reason why not to fix it. my personal experiance is kia= lemon

  • My grandmother just got a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, and both power sliding doors do something similar to this, except they won't close all the way, they will be almost completely shut, and then they bump back open... It's all weird.

  • thats why my moms van doesnt have power doors :P no, it diddnt come with it, but thats not good with little kids!

  • Same issue here. I's been in the shop 8 times in 8 months. They claim to have fixed it each time. Within one day it's back to the same issue. Now are filing for a lemon law

  • well, if you have a problem and have doubt, turn the power door switch off and put it in manual mode until u get to the dealer

  • your right kia dont care they just want your money like anyone else lol

  • Sadly, only one of a myriad of problems with Kia vehicles.

  • no lol i have two and they have never given me any issues..(06 rio 49k miles 05 sedona 46k miles)

  • there is problems with every vehicles. EVEN Toyota, you wouldn't expect Toyota of all people but yes even them, they dont issues recalls when needed and a guy almost died because of a defect in his Toyota.

  • I have a similar problem. KIA doesn't seem to care.

  • it is a common issue..and they fixed it on 2007 and up models..
