I know on the nightly local news reports, certain races and ethnic groups seem to appear on the survaillance cameras as suspects at crime seems more than other people; are the cameras also profiling or are these groups more involved in crime? It is reported it is because of the crime on the south side but I lived on the north side for 5 years and there is as much drug deals and violent crimes there as well. It is reported it is because of the crime on the south side but I lived on the north side for 5 years and there is as much drug deals and violent crimes there as well. However, there was no element of profiling in the Gates case by the cop.
When you have to break into a house to gain entry, no matter who you are, it's a pretty reasonable expectation that the police might show up and ask if you're the legitimate occupant.

Gates then became belligerent for no valid reason with the police officer who was just doing his job.
Gates had absolutely no reason to act the way he did towards the police officer other than playing victim and martyr of racism which he does for a living.
If there were any racial profiling here, it was on Gates' part because I doubt he would reacted the belligerent way that he did if a black officer had asked for ID.

She is saying, "Racial profiling doesn't exist," if she is serious than she is really ignorant. There is actually a term that came from racial profiling which is DOB(driving while black). Police officers will tell you that there is racial profiling, she should call up her local police station, and they would gladly clear up her confussion.

Sharpton has evolved from an unsophisticated instigator to a smart advocate for black people. People always say "Where is Sharpton NOW?", when a black on white crime happens.
