  • VHS - Hit the 'tracking' button!!!

  • This is just too much!!! His songs are just plain FUN!!! e.g 4:20 lol

  • 7:45 It`s like a build up to her taking it off

  • @jeffbuesing some of us are now

  • I recorded this off the radio when I was a kid and thought I'd lost this forever...

  • He looks so slim here and young. And this version is too fast.

  • Thumbs up if you agree they sound like their sniffing a shitload of cocaine when they say Jetsssss.

  • /watch?v=EiRZYqGHn6Q

    - - Way better than this version in my opinion.

  • This version is WAY too fast.

  • @haroof I like the extra drive in this version which comes from the slightly higher tempo

  • This version is a little too fast for me

  • Did I just see titties from the 70's?

  • I want that tuxedo!

  • @BMX90 Tails, jacket, whatever it is... I want it! lol

  • this song is pure love

  • j'y étais c'était géant beau très beau souvenir.

  • this song gets me so spaced out

  • @scottscan I agree with you. This show is the best for me

  • Haha lonelywolf1964 totally justvtrolled the shit out of you guys lol

  • No other man can or ever will be able to play the piano or perform like Elton John did.

  • Omg look at his hands there going fucking crazy on the piano Elton john really is the definition of talent as zoolakid so simply put......Btw hahah i love the guy at 1:58 haha he has huge glasses haaha

  • @lonelywolf1964 there is absolutely no reason why you should throwing biblical garbage at us. We are all here to enjoy the show. If you want to "spread the world of god" then go fucking comment on someone thaty sounds as stupid as you like Pat Robertson or Fred Phelps.

  • @lonelywolf1964 You obviously don't understand the true meaning of GOD or HEAVEN. We are all made from Gods image, that image is pure energy, and so are we. When we get to the afterlife (Heaven) we are only energy (souls) AND we posses both male and female traits. SO, you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

  • @lonelywolf1964

From one believer to another. you need to know the time and place. I would venture to say you have done nothing but turn more people off to the message than any good. Casting stones is not your calling.. believe me. There are other ... more important and meaningful topics of conversation if you are attempting to be evangelical and would then probably start to see good coming from the work you do vs.constant confrontation. Show me the verse that says to go judge others in my name

  • I've been thru alot of his stuff on u-tube, and this Wembley stuff stands heads and shoulders above the American and Australian gigs. And i live in Australia.

  • Has anyone got any idea what Elton says at 3:38? He scats something.

  • @Rumpus16 LMAO I still can't understand what he's saying there.

  • my god he killed that piano!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @lonelywolf1964 whys he going to hell?

  • @fr1llz yeah I'm also curious...

  • @lonelywolf1964 the fuck is that supposed to mean?

  • Anybody else think he started doing shit music later on in his life?

  • @wendywolfman No, he's certainly calmed down though. Which is a shame!

  • @markdawsonmusic That's because "he's so spaced out".

  • What a sir eltonjohn the piansit aswsome performance

  • 08:13 cool!!! )

  • LEGEND. ICON. BRILLIANT. GENIUS. AWESOME. ELTON.

  • Kickarse stuff

  • @Sparklegirl2000

It's spelled Bennie and the Jets. Look on the back of the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album

  • From the great Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album. And now Elton's new album The Union, with Leon Russell, is his best since the mid 70s

  • This is AMAZING! The 14 people who pressed dislike on this dont have a clue of what good music is!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Sparklegirl2000 FYI: you spelled bennie wrong.

  • love Elton John? Follow EltonJohnLyrics on Twitter :)

  • wow....elton john gettin some. who would have thought. what a piano god.

  • tits

  • 14 accidently pressed the dislike button!

  • @MrPimpau Nope, I'm sure that was purposeful. BUT You're not too far off.......I'm sure it was an accident that they were born :-)

  • Just my opinion but i think that was horrible. I think the regular version was way better. He sounded bad here. Atleast i think.

  • @DALTON2499: obviously you don't hear very well - Elton sounds great - his vocals are playful, lively and he hits EVERY UPPER OCTAVE. Got Q-TIPS?

  • @jusj01 Gotta watch the DVDs, I think the one going around ebay was only 1 hour. Even on VHS they split it between 2 tapes.

  • One of THE BEST concerts I've ever seen 4th row ! :)

  • they shold fully make a movie about him

  • a little too long but still BENNY!

  • @bluebougie I don't mind when Bennie is long, but Rocket Man would be better if it was about half as long as he plays it lately.

  • Definitely one of the top five best performers of all time

  • Elton John is a heck of an entertainer.

  • 1:05 *bangs on computer screen to make it come back*

  • @jusj01 they sell the dvd on ebay for like 6 bucks

  • Someone needs to adjust the tracking on this tape.

  • i am not going to lie i am digging the boater...

  • very awesome video sir elton.......but who was that thing that popped up on 7:38 and then took its bra off at 8:18 ............very scary indeed

  • Elton is the man on the piano!

  • @shipwreck222 why does he have to be straight? :S

  • that was sick Elton is the man that was like a jimi hendrix solo via piano

  • this beats the 1980 central park version JOM, the band is zooming here and elton is just brilliant in this medley solo. love the old tunes from the 1940's being used here.

  • I'd kill for the dots to that solo...

  • I also loved the way the sing in 27 dresses......maybe coz i like katherine Heigl

  • TRACKING!

  • lmfao, amazing show,so eighties lol.chached out of there minds.the rest of the band sums up the coked out 80's.he's a musical genius

  • His is so unbelievably high.

  • idk how he could be "unbleievably" high while doing this.

the solo is hard enough and all the soloing afterwords so i doubt hes stoned out of his mind

  • beautiful...... ù.ù

  • This is so good - he is off his face high, such an amazing performance...amazing energy.

  • Dude, beyond high. This is why is voice crapped out on him the next year.

  • @dairyfan123 his voice crapped out on him in '87

  • @DMEAD123

Close, but not quite. 1986. Australia. Youtube it.

  • @DMEAD123

You can hear the contrast. Here, '84, he still has the falsetto. In 1986, you're hearing an early version of the NEW Elton John.

  • @dairyfan123 Exactly. I was quite shocked when I heard the live single "Candle in the wind" that climbed the hit chart that year. Though there's no falsetto in that song, clearly his voice became more guttural and his amazing timbre has gone. *sigh*

  • Yeah, it's kinda sad in a way: His voice was absolutely flawless from 1982-1985, then by 1986, he LOST it!

  • GREAT!

    No substitution.

  • this guy is the definition of talent

  • I think elton did a few lines of coke before the show,he's always messin with his nose...lol

  • @mactheartofwarfare i get hay fever too, dude! lolz.........

  • 8:10 that's hot

  • I dont really care what you think....you made a comment about the song being too fast, and i explained to you why. And as far as rythym goes, its all there junior......you just have to listen. :) ASSHOLE

  • yeah because going faster than 66 BPM means there is no rhythm....

    /sarcasm/

  • I think that this version is one of the best EJ's live performances. As you can also see this is IN THE MOOD VERSION. So the only problem is that you haven't got musical ear.

  • This is probably the best live version of Benny that I've heard! I'm loving this so much, I'm sharing it with my friends and family!

  • youre a retard.....this is the In the Mood version of the song.....read the description. It is supposed to be played this way. This is usually how elton plays it live

  • This is badder than bad ass.

  • First, there isn't a word "badder" in English. And second, stop talking about music that does not understand.

  • or ready for another coke fix? ;)

  • Wow! The greatest Elton John video I have seen! Does anyone know whether this concern is available on dvd?

  • I presume that was where it was sourced from

  • Sir Elton John is one in a million. I bet i've listened to this clip over 100 times, and everytime I cant keep from tapping my feet, and putting a smile on my face. Gay or not, it don't matter, if this guy dont make it to heaven for how he's made people feel, it don't exist.

  • WOW, this must be one of the coolest things I've ever seen. There was a time I thought piano solos would be boring. And that suit is cooool. And that song is even cooooler.

  • My friend just bought a 2 grand keyboard and one of the settings is Elton John Rock Piano

  • the tempo is pushing hard because Elton is "soooo spaced out," he doesnt mind letting the crowd in on how good hes feeling.. Try and count how many times he wipes his nose and I know he takes a bump at 4:18 because i see the coke kick in 12 seconds later after he clears his nose. This is by far my favorite EJ performance - a man invincible on stage. I wish i could have seen him when he still had this energy with this voice..

  • Axl Rose loves this song Elton was one of his heroes

  • wow! LONG LIFE EJ

  • You made the music speed faster so that you could get around the copywright. This is such an awesome song, much better at the correct BPM!!

  • Man...I don't know what he was on...if he was high on life, (or something else) or possibly just in the moment and running off pure adrenaline....but this performance was just genius! He really took that solo and ran with it, didn't he?? LOL the rest of the band just didn't know what to do!! ^_^ Awesome vid --thanks for sharing!!

  • Just another example of why Elton was/is one of the best live rock acts ever.

Lucky enough to see him in 1982 and he rocked the improv for Bennie then too--even crawling under the piano while still playing. He rocked Saturday Night and the final medley as well.

  • A little poll for the room: Which would you rather watch live for 2 1/2 hours, this guy or Sean Hannity's Freedom Concert? I think for rural America and the tea-baging crowd it's a no-brainer.

  • Definitely Elton... Heck Yeah! Especially back when his voice was kickin'

  • Where can I buy a dvd of this concert?

  • I love youtube for stuff like this.

  • that is insane

  • Comment removed

  • lmao i know

  • lol I saw it on the DVD first time I saw it I was, like O-OMG is that..is that even legal??

  • She wasn't a cow and she had nice tits.

  • I'd love if someone could isolate the "In The Mood" solo.

  • Elton John is great !!!

  • 2:02 is classic

  • what a great performance!

  • if it was coke so what. elton john be awesome !!

  • i love his suit

  • jacked on coke

    an' i don't mean cola

  • He's sober here.

  • don't get me wrong the man's a king. but

2:38 to 2:39 (nose rub). and the tempo, cmon'.

  • Well Elton's always performed this song fast live (especially in the 70s and 80s) and the rub could be anything (Nose itched, etc)

If it WAS cocaine, then the effect would've been gone by then (this was towards the end of the show).

  • He hasn't touched drugs since 1990/1991.

  • Silly enough ~ " Elton John and I " ~ We share the same birth day! March 25th!

  • ive never heard anyone do the 4/8 like he can

  • Because Elton's awesome!

  • i wish he didnt lose his falsetto =/ he still sounds amazing tho

  • 1984 was a GREAT year for Elton John Live: His voice was at his best, he performed his upbeat songs faster, had LOTS of energy, and his band was REALLY into the songs.

Go check out ANYTHING live by Elton in 1984.

I think that was his best year overall--agree?

  • In some ways yes, in some ways no. It all depends on preferences, but this was definitely an amazing year for Elton!

  • I agree. What's your favorite year?

  • For me it's 2001, I really enjoyed some of the shows he did that year. 1984 is definitely one of my top years though.

  • I personally prefer 1971 and 72, when Madman Across the Water and Honky Chateau came out, bearing his two most famous songs: Tiny Dancer and Rocket Man. And let's not forget 1994, with The Lion King...

  • Here are my favorite years:

    1969-1977

    1980-1985

    1994

    LOL!

  • @Gregsynth

    I think it's called cocaine.

  • I know he was on coke! lol

  • @Gregsynth we all were

  • Well, I wasn't born until 1990--so I missed the coke era! lol

  • Even with a few seconds of distortion this is an awesome clip!!

  • He's looking quite studly in this video, with the hat and suit and all

  • Firstly Thanx a ton for posting this amazing vid.

Secondly Isaw im play last night at The World Arena, Colorado Springs. I would almost pay double for what the man delivers.

  • i love this song ...saw him and billy on tour it was great

  • A true genius!!!!!!

  • omg! no glasses!

  • O.o impossible! =P

  • very good 'cause he has beautiful eyes!!!

  • GREAT SONG

    GREAT CONCERT

    Elton John Forever...great decade...fantastic

  • I was at this concert.About 50yrs in front of the stage. What a brilliant day... Many bands played that day at the "summer of 84 concert" This was ending Eltons world tour.12 hours we stood on our feet watching bands like Kool and the gang,Wang Chung,Nik Kershaw.Got many photo's of that day.Brilliant.........

  • i cant stop playing this song!!!!

    B-B-B-BENNIE AND THE JETS!

  • Mother f.... this is the best video I love so much....

  • I was at Wembley in June 1975 when EJ first performed Bennie & the Jets for nearly 100,000 people crammed together to see in the following order; Rufus & Cha Ka Khan, Joe Walsh(pre-Eagles), Joe Cocker(1 song cameo appearance), Eagles(Meisner, Leadon, Felder, Henley, Frey), Beach Boys (doing Endless Summer compilation) & Elton John closed the night down with his quickly assembled stage group including Ray Cooper. ELTON JOHN - - FANTASTIC!!!
