@BMX90 That's a Savile Row suit from a designer/tailor called Tommy Nutter. It's one of the only stage suits Elton hasn't auctioned off. It's on display at the Fabric & Textile museum in London until this saturday, 22nd October. You can get real close to it and could probably do a runner if you're fit enough ;-) Jokes aside, it looks more amazing up close.
Omg look at his hands there going fucking crazy on the piano Elton john really is the definition of talent as zoolakid so simply put......Btw hahah i love the guy at 1:58 haha he has huge glasses haaha
@lonelywolf1964 there is absolutely no reason why you should throwing biblical garbage at us. We are all here to enjoy the show. If you want to "spread the world of god" then go fucking comment on someone thaty sounds as stupid as you like Pat Robertson or Fred Phelps.
@lonelywolf1964 You obviously don't understand the true meaning of GOD or HEAVEN. We are all made from Gods image, that image is pure energy, and so are we. When we get to the afterlife (Heaven) we are only energy (souls) AND we posses both male and female traits. SO, you obviously don't know what you're talking about.
From one believer to another. you need to know the time and place. I would venture to say you have done nothing but turn more people off to the message than any good. Casting stones is not your calling.. believe me. There are other ... more important and meaningful topics of conversation if you are attempting to be evangelical and would then probably start to see good coming from the work you do vs.constant confrontation. Show me the verse that says to go judge others in my name
I've been thru alot of his stuff on u-tube, and this Wembley stuff stands heads and shoulders above the American and Australian gigs. And i live in Australia.
this beats the 1980 central park version JOM, the band is zooming here and elton is just brilliant in this medley solo. love the old tunes from the 1940's being used here.
@dairyfan123 Exactly. I was quite shocked when I heard the live single "Candle in the wind" that climbed the hit chart that year. Though there's no falsetto in that song, clearly his voice became more guttural and his amazing timbre has gone. *sigh*
I dont really care what you think....you made a comment about the song being too fast, and i explained to you why. And as far as rythym goes, its all there junior......you just have to listen. :) ASSHOLE
I think that this version is one of the best EJ's live performances. As you can also see this is IN THE MOOD VERSION. So the only problem is that you haven't got musical ear.
youre a retard.....this is the In the Mood version of the song.....read the description. It is supposed to be played this way. This is usually how elton plays it live
Sir Elton John is one in a million. I bet i've listened to this clip over 100 times, and everytime I cant keep from tapping my feet, and putting a smile on my face. Gay or not, it don't matter, if this guy dont make it to heaven for how he's made people feel, it don't exist.
WOW, this must be one of the coolest things I've ever seen. There was a time I thought piano solos would be boring. And that suit is cooool. And that song is even cooooler.
the tempo is pushing hard because Elton is "soooo spaced out," he doesnt mind letting the crowd in on how good hes feeling.. Try and count how many times he wipes his nose and I know he takes a bump at 4:18 because i see the coke kick in 12 seconds later after he clears his nose. This is by far my favorite EJ performance - a man invincible on stage. I wish i could have seen him when he still had this energy with this voice..
Man...I don't know what he was on...if he was high on life, (or something else) or possibly just in the moment and running off pure adrenaline....but this performance was just genius! He really took that solo and ran with it, didn't he?? LOL the rest of the band just didn't know what to do!! ^_^ Awesome vid --thanks for sharing!!
Just another example of why Elton was/is one of the best live rock acts ever.
Lucky enough to see him in 1982 and he rocked the improv for Bennie then too--even crawling under the piano while still playing. He rocked Saturday Night and the final medley as well.
A little poll for the room: Which would you rather watch live for 2 1/2 hours, this guy or Sean Hannity's Freedom Concert? I think for rural America and the tea-baging crowd it's a no-brainer.
1984 was a GREAT year for Elton John Live: His voice was at his best, he performed his upbeat songs faster, had LOTS of energy, and his band was REALLY into the songs.
