The Shining had all the musical credentials. The Verve bandmates Simon Jones, and Simon Tong (who also is one of musical genius Damon Albarn’s best mates working with him in Blur during Coxon-less Think Tank era, Gorillaz, and more). Vocals also very similar to The Music who were same era and did pretty well.....deserve more awareness!

saw them at leeds 2001 after hearing younmg again on what was amp tv. brought the album and was amazed. didnt realise for ages who exactly they were. im glad to see duncans coming back to the scene, i look fwd to hearin whatever is on offer. bring the blues back baby

Im listening to the album just remembering the good ol times. No music is better than Manchester sounding music lol (or roundabouts manchester - thinkin the shining, puressence, the charlies just to name a few). Duncan Baxter was so god damn hot as well.

They will never get back together as certain members of the band have SHIT on certain other members of the band by stealing riffs for their new stuff and giving no credit to the rest of the band, this band is done. Shame.

im his godson/nephew. i have no clue about a new band..i have not heard anything about this, he was at my house just this night. If he has got a new band he is keeping it very secretive which is not like Duncan, and atm he is actually in Poulton-le-Fylde not New York. although i am un-sure where he is going to stay, he has been living in New York and visiting relatives e.t.c who are located here in poulton as well he did live in London for a few years whilst the shining band was still going
