Hardly. LO fails to bring anything new to the genre and, for what it does, it does so in a mediocre, uninspired manner. There are far superior JRPG's: this and Persona 4 to name a couple.

I don't really count Magnacarta 2 as a jrpg. While it is one, I count it as a real time battle rpg instead of jrpg, but I feel LO is better only because of the dreams.

Ugh...Lost Odyssey. he only thing good about that werew the short stories (which were fantastic). Magna Carta 2 is pretty good though; really enjoyed it.
