@xXMaDEllXx you can hear elements of blues and old time rock in stuff like punk, newer rock, and even metal. Every newer kind of music builds on an older form. All of these genres use the guitar, drums, etc, so this should be expected. some of it is just faster and more aggressive but if you know what to look for you can certainly hear it. The foundation for newer genres ARE the old time rock and blues so you can never get rid of it! So yeah, BB King and Jerry Lewis are METAL haha!
