  • 26 people are "real assholes"

  • This version is much better.cuz in the Lionheart version, scenes are cut.

  • Cyborg was actually a really good one too!

  • I love jcvd - cant believe I never saw this movie before!

  • Lion!!

  • Damn this is my kind of movie!!!

  • 4:00-4:10 OWNED!

  • this movie is a french foriegn legoin recruitment film. ive meet these guys in person thety're nothin to fuck with.

  • "You gave up your family ven you joined ze Legion."

    *cut to another JCVD film*

    "THE LEGION, IS A FAMILY!!"

  • @TheAwokenMind Vargs he says it at around 4:45, dont know what it means either??

  • 2.56 Djibouti is not in North Africa !

  • Comment removed

  • @TheAwokenMind Wogs

  • Awww man!! I remember when my great grandmother would have us kids sit and watch so many Jean Claude Van Damme movies. This was one of them. She loved him. She never called him by his name though. She always called in Lionheart. Even if we were watching Nowhere to Run the first thing out of her mouth was "Look at Lionheart!" "Jean Claude Van Damme, Tammy." "Whatever." LOL!! #Good Times#

  • 7:10 was that Billy Blanks?

  • darn what a nostalgia.wish i could go back when i was like 4 or 5 when i was a huge fan of this movie..actually i even felt i was in it!!!

  • 2:56 correct me if i'm wrong but isn't djibouti in south africa!!!!

  • @abk1ng Weel, actually is more to the east of africa, northern Somalia a south of Etiopia...

  • i heard van damme suppose to be in expandables 2 def. lookin forward to that

  • @marvelous123123 I hope so

  • @bhbharris898 trust me me too

  • @marvelous123123: I hope so too..

Take out the Jason Statham, and put in a Legend like Van Damme!

  • @WayneTown260 u got that ryte!

  • I love iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt!! is a classic!

  • "THE QUEST" is the best movie of Van damme.....

  • why is it called fullcontact??

  • @09prizefighter09 It have something to do with the fighting.

Do you ever heard about "full contact punch"??

  • @09prizefighter09 this movie actually has a whole bunch of different names to it, leon, wrong bet, attilla to name a few, but it was released in America as Lionheart which is the title i like best.

  • For those who want to join the Foreign Legion DO NOT. Take it from an old soldier.

  • @LordWellington15 The foreign legion still exists? I don't see why the French need it now they longer control any of Africa. I could be wrong though.

  • @ozipk They give you a new name and a new nationality. Considering the places France still has a prescence its not hard to see why they wont have a shortage of recruits. After the war nearly 1/3 of all combat regiments were made up of former Waffen SS and Falschirmjager troops doing indefinite prison sentences in POW camps. Thats why the Viet Cong and Algerian wars were so brutal.

  • hjhj

  • i luved this movie wen i was little he looked sooo....... you know

  • This and Kickboxer are my favorite movies from JCVD. Bloodsport is number 3 though it's music is legendary.

  • By fat VD's best movie.

  • the commanding officer at the legionnaire outpost 9yeah, the guy that wanted to keep leo detained) resembles v.p. joe biden

  • For me is the best film of Van damme

  • @burinalipe ...yep the best..

  • this film is actually called a.w.o.l (absent without leave) not lionheart lol

  • @holywellspitfire The movie has three titles:

A.W.O.L, Full Contact, and Lionheart. But Lionheart is mostly described as the main title.

    I still don't know why.

  • The first time Van Damme hit seargent when he tried to get on the jeep seemed credible enough but when he hit him 2nd time seargent got on the jeep was simply not strong enough plus that kind of slap lost credibility 4 the scene. In reality I think seargent should have remained with Van Damme on the jeep when breaking loose through the fence. Lol :)

  • 5:32 - remind me to slap my cousin in the head like that when I see him.

  • I loved this movie and similar Van Damme Movies-- enjoyed them as a kid and still now

  • The worst fight choreography ever filmed (the punch to the knee?) You can tell that Frank Dux is a bullshitter, and that he's never been in a real fight.

  • @SpinksJinx Just enjoy the movie, or maybe just thank the person who posted it. In stead of blessing us with ur "experience". Things u do in a "real" fight dont translate here- It a movie man, one that did well worldwide.

  • @SpinksJinx I didn't know his name was Frank Dux in this movie as well, but Jean Claude van Damm got his ASS KICKED --- and I do mean kicked by Chuck Zito in about 1993 (if I remember). Funny as hell... So yeah, he can't really fight. I'll take an ex-Hell's angel / bodyguard / MMA fighter over a Karateka anyday.

  • @amoskowitz0103 So easy to judge a person you will never meet... and know nothing about, despite what you might have read on wiki. Isnt it enough just to live your life..?

  • @amoskowitz0103

Van Damme was a legit pro-kickboxer dumb-ass.. Look up his record.. Back in the day he would beat the shit out of you and 90% of the folks walking around.. so who the fuck are you shit-talking son??

  • cvxvcxvcxfd

  • 1:59 QUE FALSEDAD JAJAJAJAJ!!!!

  • he a beast is bro

  • 6:35 cover your head legionare,lmbo

  • I was 9 years old when I saw this in the theater by myself. God, I loved the loose R-rating policy of the 90's...

  • @CitySkin09 i was fifteen when i tried to see Double Team in the theatre and they would'nt let me in

  • @UniversalMinded -- What a bunch of dirtbags! Well at the very least you could've seen it as saving 6 or 7 bucks at the time.

  • @CitySkin09 yeah, true

  • Hmmmm

    Winning!

  • van damme was a fuckin beast back in the day

  • Apparently nobody knows how to stop drop and roll anymore.

  • hiiihoooooooooooooooooooooo

  • it's the iron shiek..

  • that was badass.

  • i think the seargant is a german legionaire because he didnt has time for this scheiße (shit).)))

  • And i quote.

"...And ve could be at vor with ze bloody vogs tomorrow"

"You gave up your family ven you joined ze legion"

    And Finally

"To many veeks in ze hot hot sun"

  • Comment removed

  • @markos824 ill bin the word spontanious then ? :-)

  • excellent a free film to watch !

  • they smacked the hell out of him

  • This movie which even though is good is still a take off from the 1975 movie Hard Times starring Charles Bronson. Nothing is really original anymore.

  • No wonder they named a disease after them.

  • how did he break through the fence?

  • Great movie, it wasnt just an action movie, it had a good story.

  • and a itty bitty lil dude

  • lmao hes a dancer not a fighter

  • 7:04

    "THE KICK ASS SCENE"

  • u idiot

    fucking retard

  • van dam plays the bad ass really well for being such a puss in reall life

  • @elknoff he pwns you in reall life

  • This is one of his top 5 films, along with:

    Bloodsport

    Kickboxer

    Universal Soldier

    Double Impact

  • You are all idiots. Double Impact is #1.

  • French army looks so nice.

  • Lionheart, Kickboxer, Bloodsport........in any order his top 3. end of. Love you JCVD

  • 6:00 haha french hitler

  • @B0MBALI9

That was typical in the French Foreign Legion. After WW2 TONS on Nazis ENDED UP IN THE LEGION TO ESCAPE PROSECUTION. The price for that was a one way ticket to hell.

  • 7:00

Doesn't anyone feel bad for the Legionnaire in the background? He doesn't even attack JCVD, but still gets kicked in the balls ánd gets a knife through his hand.

  • 6:35 best punch in the movie.

  • yeah bloodsport was JCVD's best and kickboxer is second. Thereafter i like the quest.

  • @horaaliya I thought the fights in the quest were kind of half-assed.

  • That Legion coon can fight at 7:12

  • Damn...been looking for this flick for a while now...reason why I couldn't find it is 'cause it was called Wrong Bet her in N.Z...

  • Fuck what Van Dame did...don't ever try to escape into a dessert in the heat like Van Damme did. I have done something similar and was severely dehydrated...in 42 Celcius heat mid day....persistence and mental focus kept me alive.

  • Did this guy basically die because he had no health insurance to cover decent medical costs?

  • thats what you get when you get involved with drugs.

if the cops dont get ya, the ass wipes that you deal with everyday will.

  • I was thinking to myself, ROLL goddamn it ROLL.

    lmao

  • great movie..old school!

  • that bitch-slap (6:33) looked like it really hurt

  • obviously his advanced martial arts skills did not emphasize the basics of STOP DROP AND ROLL !

  • @anthonymezzapelle dosent really work when u have gasoline all over your body

  • I took out Bruce Lee,I smashed Jett Li,I smothered Stan Lee, General E. Lee, Mohammed Alee, but damn,Van Damme kicked my butt.

  • @RasMajnouni you forgot jackie chan did to you??he fucked your ass...lol

  • @akilisatolitot Young ladies should not "stoop so low" to use foul language.

  • Desert fever.

  • your a real asshol

  • JCVD was my idol when i was a teen

  • i don't really get the beginning. is he serving military time for another country?

  • @theoark

The legionnaires are composed of soldiers from different countries. I think. In the film he was in the legionnaires anyway. Im not entirely sure though.

  • what the!!!! this isn't final fantasy 8 :O

Bad stereotypes all over the place!!!!!

  • christ, i thought i recognised this, this film was called AWOL when i saw it.

  • @monkeyskitz Its called AWOL in the UK but Lionheart everywhere else. I think anyways, definitely known as AWOL in the UK though.

  • cover your head soldier hehehe

  • bad business burning your paying customers.. lol

  • JCVD is one of the most freakin awesome ass actors alive

  • I don't have time for this Scheiße? His Commander is German? ;o) Cool!

  • mad hard slap at 6:34 lol..even i felt that lol

  • this is one of JCVD best films in my opinion these are his best work- 1) BLOODSPORT (#1 of course) 2) KICKBOXER 3) CYBORG 4) THE QUEST 5) LIONHEART 6) DOUBLE IMPACT 7) NOWHERE TO RUN 8) NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER (his first movie very cheesy but good cuz he was da villain) 9) IN HELL 10) DEATH WARRANT
  • Take the Quest and In Hell off the list and put JCVD and Universal Soldier 1 on.

  • JCVD was wack honestly i dont no what da fuck was Jean Claude Van Damme trying 2 attempt in that film this is just my opinion u don't have 2 agree with it but honestly its pretty boring 2 me. As 4 Universal Soldier i didn't like it either as a kid i did but honestly da only thing i liked about it was that Dolph Lundgren was his opponent in da film

  • @reyfuego360 You miss Second in Command.

  • @reyfuego360 I dont think bloodsport was very good, the fight scenes were shocking, i think kickboxer, double impact and lionheart aka awol, and desert heat aka inferno are his best

  • @reyfuego360 AGREEED ! =)

  • @reyfuego360 . No Sudden death?

  • @eagle92091 didnt really like sudden death man

  • @reyfuego360 .I like terrorism movies. Under Siege, sudden death, death train.

Sudden death is the best of the terrorism movies.

  • @reyfuego360

not kickboxer, that one was stuuuuuupid, the kind 'white sissy training with mysterious master for half a year and becoming better than any native afterwards'

  • @reyfuego360 . in the last 5 minutes of the movie is it sudden death. Is that what your mean?

  • @eagle92091 say what

  • @reyfuego360 I don''t understand you. You say there is no sudden death in the movie sudden death. And than say you to my say what. Why is the movie bad?

  • @eagle92091 idk what ur talking about son but i dont like sudden death cuz in my opinion it was just wack and dumb but this is just my opinion u dont have 2 agree with me its just my opinion if u think its a good movie hey thats ur opinion i just didnt think it was good i thought it was pretty boring da only thing i liked about it was da fight scene with JCVD and da woman in da Pigeon Outfit lol

  • @reyfuego360 Now I understand you. For my is bloodsport the best!

  • @reyfuego360 you forgot about .... TIMECOP and SUDDEN DEATH and HARD TARGET all worthy of TOP 10!

  • @reyfuego360 1) JCVD 2) Universal Soldier 3) Bloodsport 4) Rest are all the same.

  • @reyfuego360 what about Нard Target??????

  • @reyfuego360 you forgot the legionair a fucking great movie even tho theres no ass kicking in it but more shooting

  • @AltamontKiller yo honestly man i havent seen it but i will check it out thanks

  • Amen Babken BMW, you hit that one one the head about time and Van Damme. I saw Universal Soldier Regeneration earlier this month and time and self abuse has ravaged the hell out of Van Damme. Dolph Lundgren still looks good although he is starting to show some hard weathering as well.

  • wehn he fell at 9:37,

wouldent he been sweating a little??

  • yeah man actEr man fuck yeah i love spelling n shit. i will out-spell the fuckin ocean man. pacific and atlantic!!! fuck all that noise!

  • wuts this movie about?

  • This movie is an excellent story about an ex-soldier who becomes a fighter (mma type fighting where you fight against a group of volunteering fighters who do get paid).

  • oh the good ol "MMA" buzzword. How about just calling it street fighting :O

  • Can't get any girls to do it? tough break :\

  • @glueboyelmer666

    lions

  • I hear what you are saying friend! I will be 39 next year and I hate to have to admit that the kicks come a little slower now than when I were 25 or so. I try not to kick so high any more because I'm slower and the helicopter kick is me showing off to friends and winning free beers!!! :-0

  • @c4xpert

Don't be upset. Time is the only enemy the human can't overcome. The most important thing is that you should make physical exercises in order to be healthy.

  • Jean Claude Van Damme has the sweetest and sexiest kick that I've seen in a long time. I try to style my kicks after his. The high side kick, his reverse spin kick and his jumping back kick. The helicopter kick is a bit difficult as I am not quite as flexible as Van Damme is!

  • If you are even close, that is impressive. 20 years ago, I was that flexible and could never do any kicks resembling those.
