  • I remember this. if i do , that means I am older than I want to be, but i still love the commercial.

  • Huh? its not even an inch and are those kids humphing it?o_0

  • It's ironic that most of them probably grew up to ride nine inchworms.

  • My little Sisters had one of these! They LOVED this toy. :)

  • I would love to see the bikini woman from the 80s TAB commercials riding one of these up and down up and down( = ^ ]

  • I remember tons of kids had these in the 70's.

  • That girl grew up to be in porn films. Now she rides up and down on 9 inch worms.

  • LOL i know this comment isgetting thumbs down but it looks so WRONG the way it moves

  • My sister and I used to have one of these! It was awesome, and those kids in the commercial suck at riding them! LOL

I remember my sister and I used to race neighborhood kids our age on our inchworm against them on their tricycles, and we would win more than half the time. It was an awesome toy!

But we got too big for it and broke it. :(

  • It was the summer of '72. I remember watching this commercial just as a man approached my next door neighbor's house to let them know one of their kids has been struck by a car while riding her bycycle. I can still hear the Mother screaming hysterically while my Mom tried to calm her down...this tune reminds me of that tragic day..

  • From 1971,1972.

  • I dont remember that commericial but I remember the toy. I never had one though.

  • I loved my inch worm!!

  • I've had this song stuck in my head for 40 years. It finally occurred to me to look it up on the 'tube. Thanks for posting it. I'll try to get it stuck in my kids' heads.

  • ride up and down and up and down......lol

  • Nowadays you would probably be accused of being insensitive to worms if you owned one of these. What a tragic abuse of an innocent legless creature!

  • I had one of these back in the early 1970's. It was a fun toy. When I outgrew it, I gave it to the son of family friends. Thanks for posting this video.

  • i am 10 years old and i love this!!!!

  • I'm a 220ib black man, and as a child I had a inchworm, before I got the green machine... YES! I still love women!

  • wow i remeber this ,it came on with magnum ta.

  • How phallic.

    It goes up and down!

  • lol, my niece just got one of those for her bday, it looks just like that.

  • Woah! I want one! Do they make full grown Man-sized Inchworms? Seriously, this is a gimmik I can seriously respect...Oh the novelty!

  • The kids down the street had one. If you notice the kids were riding downhill because they were too slow on flat ground. They had one way wheels and short forward stretch action. You couldn't go uphill because the plastic wheels would slip.

  • LOL that looks so wrong

  • My sister begged for one of these as a kid, my mother refused, said she was not giving her daughter a toy that was teaching her how to hump..lol

  • LMAO

  • I wonder if this was the inspiration behind Dune.

  • I had an inchworm like this when I was little. I LOVED to ride it. I know that they are making this again... I think Red Rider (the wagon company) is making it (looks a little different now though)... too bad they don't make this in an adult size. I am sure that I would love one now as much as I did when I was a kid... (NO dirty mind intended)!!!

  • Where can I get the inchworm song? Iluvit Iluvit Iluvit.

  • I would try doing a google search or perhaps a music download website like limewire.

  • My old Inchworm is still up in the top of my parents' barn...along with my rocking horse and---a real rarity---my Chitty Chitty Bang Bang pedal car. Unfortunately, the pedal car needs some serious work to restore it to its former glory.

  • I loved that song so much, that

I almost "fell in love" with that inchworm as a kid.*LOL*

    Thanks for posting.

  • LOL! That's sooo funny! My two nieces had inch worms growing up in the 70's. Thanks for the memories,bolt70.

  • LoL! ride up and down on the inchworm!

  • I remember a different song. Was there another commercial that was a little older or newer than that one?

  • yes

  • that was so awesome to see again. Such fun! thanks for posting

  • geeez, I can't believe i remember this stuff. makes me feel ancient.

  • Inchworn loves you too!

  • I still ride an inchworm every chance I get.

  • forgot that o'l inch worm of mine

  • I loved my inchworm. I especially liked the handles on the saddle. The looked like snail antennas.

  • great song. Good product for preschoolers. Probably considered dangerous now. Or politically incorrect.

  • I LOVED the inchworm. I was too old for one by the time it became popular but I never missed a chance to climb on one of the neighborhood kids inchworm and scoot around!

  • T remember seeing a commercial for this, but it was different from this one. Besides, a bicycle is a lot more efficient than this thing!

  • I loved my inchworm.

  • Wow, this would never make it to TV now, "Ride up and down, up and down on the inchworm"??? Uhhh...ok?

  • There was a dog version of this, too-i had one.

  • My sister had one. I don't remember her riding it though. We would have killed it with our chubby butts.

  • These were popular before kids sat at home and played "football" on their PS2s.

  • I used to love this commercial when I was little. I used to think this was SUCH a pretty song. But really, the "ride up and down and up and down" part would go over like a lead balloon with the censors nowadays! Cuz we're all a bunch of dirty- minded folk, LOL!!!

  • Now if they made Inch Worm vibrate, I`m sure they would have made more profit

  • The worm looks like he is enjoying himself !

    Damn pediphile !

  • I wonder what she/he did to make you say that...beating kids for having fun...whew...glad I got the Mom I did..instead of another "mother" I could have had! =)

  • I agree sodpoo

  • YEP HERE COME THE MEMORIES HAD THIS WOW WOW

  • I loved my inchworm..too bad I can't ride it to work.. would sure save on gas. ;(

  • Inchworm...really cool, funky toy from the days when parents loved their kids because they were kids and not items or whatever...

  • you're so right

    Thanks

  • I'm not sure I can figure out what's the link between kids ridding giant plastic worms and parents' love...

Though, this does not prevent the ad to be very ambiguous (particularly at that period when a lot of psychological studies were led ! )

  • Got any episodes of Romper Room????

  • Sorry , no I don't.

    But who knows.......one day maybe

  • Is it me or is this commercial really sexually orientated ?

  • Hahahahahahaha, I really don't know.

  • kids humping plastic worms hahhahaa

  • oh i loved mt inch worm! i was sooooo pissed when my grandma gave it to my cousin when i outgrew it.
