E Minor and G Major are basically the same scale.

Back in black is E minor except he tunes down, so I guess it's not actuall, but that is the scale he is playing out of anyway

Your teaching has a loophole! I suggest it will be more what it's tagged, 'finding a key to a song' if a song will be and you try to use the key in your tutorial to figure it out.
