I think the applause at the end speaks for itself...
I'm sorry but your husband pretty much summed up the lack of understanding for what the health care bill actually does. Stop watching fox news for all your information and things will make a bit more sense.
@TheLostGuitarist the applause came from a pre-packed union hall crowd that only 30 or so non-union people were allowed to attend.
Why do you liberals always assume I watch Fox news just because I don't buy into the liberal agenda? I watch NBC and CNN just like you. Only I use my brain and further research issues and stories rather than just happily chug the kool-aid
@writersblock77 lol yea anyone who doesn't agree with you MUST BE CONSPIRING to PREPACK a hall.
LOL your husband is retarded. He embarrassed himself and you put it up on youtube for the world to see, thinking that you actually made a good political point. you are a laughing stock and don't even know it!
you have a brain? What's your highest level of education? I'm willing to bet it isn't beyond GED.
Translation : We won't tax you we'll just borrow more money over seas with no hopes of ever paying it back unless our best friend the Fed can print us more money and hurt our currency.
In another question AG explained how the thing gets paid for, and made clear implicitly that there's plenty of room to kick up taxes on the richest of the rich. I say soak their asses.
If you worry about the private insurers' being good faith partners in cutting their own fat--I sure do--then support a public option to compete the least efficient firms right out of the industry.
terpis - Do you really think the govt. competes? This will NOT bring down costs but hey the govt. can just print MORE money - $12,000,000,000,000 is not too much. Tort reform and eliminating govt. waste and fraud WILL reduce costs.
If that tall shot of kool aid were true, explain to me how it is that we spend TWICE AS MUCH per capita RIGHT NOW versus universally covered, gummint insured nations of the developed world?
We're pathetically outcompeted right now, and have been for decades.
The retard brigades just prefer not to notice inconvenient stuff like that. So long as it's the private sector fucking you over, it's all good.
As apposed to the big corporations having more control? At least the government represents the people not profits. Do you know that United Health Care, the same folks who practically required their employees to show up at town halls against reform, reported a profit increase of 13% over last year. In addition their CEO made 500,000,000 dollars over the last four years.
I think the applause at the end speaks for itself...

The Private Sector has control our Health Care for 60 years ... and it's a mess. It cost us twice as much as any countries and provide less care.
It's time for a much needed change. It's time to have at least the option to choose for a Public Plan.
This is the least someone can ask for in a democratic country.

@librophile "It's time to have at least the option to choose for a Public Plan."
Then YOU pay for it.
"This is the least someone can ask for in a democratic country."
This is a Representative Republic... we only ELECT democratically.

Hey genius,
If that tall shot of kool aid were true, explain to me how it is that we spend TWICE AS MUCH per capita RIGHT NOW versus universally covered, gummint insured nations of the developed world?

wait a minute if we are paying for emergency care now or if we pay for this person's insurance, then what the hell is the difference?
erikblazy 2 years ago

many differences but just to name a few:
preventative care helps people to not end up in the emergency room, in addition emergency room care is far more expensive than family physician care.
