This guy is overrated. He's good at what he's doing, but as a drummer overall he's stylistically limited. Talking about black metal drumming, Hellhammer is faster and has a much more musical approach and isn't stylistically limited.
I think some drummers can do the same speed as Frost and maybe even faster than him; Hellhammer, Steve Asheim,Pete Sandoval,Inferno,just to mention some. But definitely Lars Ulrich,Joey Jordison, CANNOT do something like this; not to desrespect them because they are awesome drummers as well, neither to desrespect the fans who think otherwise. But one think for sure Frost is a tremendous drummer. i always liked his style especially when he's with 1349.

Im a huge fan of the berzerker, but that was a rumor. He never officialy had Guinness see if he was so it was dismissed as false. I own the dvd, he does some pretty fast stuff, but I wasnt as impressed when the vocalist had to do drums and vocals at the same time so I cam to realize the music wasnt as hard as I anticipated. Still great band though
Nick Barker is a good drummer, indeed. Hellhammer is an unbelievably good drummer, many times better than Barker. but my favourite was/is/will be Frost because the way he plays on the drums could be a trademark, one can recognize his style from miles away. Hail!

Blasting and speed isn't everything. Gene Hoglan is the fucking man. Ridiculous speed AND ridiculous musicianship. A lot of the reason Frost sounds so amazing is due in large part to the music the other band members write.

frost has has mastered the art of summoning the brutal power of black fucking metal, to pick up/sit in front of an instrument be it guitar drums in the black metal genre, you have to possess and fuck the power which comes from black metal (speed helps haha) only then can one achieve the art of manifesting the spirits from the black abyss into music form!!!!! \m/

Blasting and speed isn't everything. Gene Hoglan is the fucking man. Ridiculous speed AND ridiculous musicianship. A lot of the reason Frost sounds so amazing is due in large part to the music the other band members write.

1349, a group Frost plays drums in. Not Carpathian Forest....? Where did this come from? Pls fill me in as I find out everything about BM groups after everyone else. And did Frost do anything to his bass pedal to make it so he can play that fast with one foot? My bass pedals are tight. Should I loosen them?

Frost doesn't play in 1349 anymore, they're looking for a new drummer...
and about that help with the bass-pedal, it's called triggers, that makes it alot easier ;)
but anyway: Frost is a sick drummer...from 0:31 till 0:34 looks like he's on crack =)
