Love this thankx. I usually hate female voices on movie vids like this b/c they are always so heavy-handed but this was nice ;) I also loved the interesting SL. But no,I don't like that so many wonderful gay films end in sadness. What are the writers afraid of-that their story won't be powerful or edgey enough?! (FEAR NOT!) Oh,well, just my thoughts.
@iben56 While Brokeback Mountain was a very strong, deep and complex movie it never entirely convinced me that that's what life would have been like for gay farmhands in rural fifties America. This marvellous and I think very important film definitely DOES convince me that this it would be like for gay Nazis. And I loved the Hitchcock-style scenes when the tension is brewing between them. I had no high expectations as most gay movies are crap, and couldnt believe it when I was so blown away!

What makes this story very credible is the ending!
Without the ending it wouldn’t be better than a cheap soap opera.
But with it, the very good acting and storyline is not wasted, it all makes sense.
Love doesn’t erase your ignorance, and being a violent brutish ape doesn’t protect you from feeling attachment and pain.
Nothing is white and black, everything is in between.
