  • your commentary is good....

  • How do they select who will start as white and black before the match?? can anyone enlighten me?

  • they alternate. Remember a match is made up of quite a few games, so each player gets a chance to play with white.

  • I know that much lol, but isnt the series a 4/7 match? or 3/5 game set? anyway who gets to pick the final game in a tiebreaker? lets say the series is even, then who picks? thnx tho

  • Matches are an even number of games. Usually a good number of the games are draws. Sometimes the matches end in a tie.

  • ummmm. well so how many games total? do you have to get up by so many games by a certain set? Say I win 3 then the other guy wins 5 in a row.... how many in total games have to be finished or won by a player to be declared the Champion?

  • It's agreed to beforehand. E.g. the matches between Kasparov and the various machines were two, four, or six games. One point for a win, half point for a draw, high number of points wins the match. In the case of a tie, sometimes it's just a tie, sometimes tie breakers are used.

Forgot to mention: Older championships were to a set amount of wins, and players played as many games a necessary.

  • Aquí demuestra Karpov,su grandeza,en la teoría de finales.

  • great endgame by karpov.he uses his a pawn very technically.
