On the internet go to mcmastercarr for your parts(the wal mart of engineering parts), and servocity for electronics You don't have to actually buy and build all the parts. Just model and assembly in 3d solid modeling environment, and specify all the parts and even prices. Now you're a mechanical engineer. I would hire you.
Nice design. However, it's only 25% done. Just a bit more work that requires more hustle and less brain. You've already done the kinematics portion. What's left? 1.) Design a housing/frame to hold everything together, and required fasteners. 2.) Complete detailed assembly and parts drawings, as if it's going to be made in production and assembled by min wage workers 3.) Lastly, it's not your expertise but you need an electrical/software guy to design the motion control system. Good luck.
