I was not in the athletic department, but Leach would come in and lecture some of the history classes I took. He was more interested in the full develpment of the students. say what? english please. While neither Boise nor TCU were from the BCS AQ, they played in a BCS bowl. And TCU, whether nervous or not, stunk. Showed they are better suited for occasional top 10 finishes and bowl games in the likes of the Ft. Worth or Texas bowl whatever it is. My point was, because you missed it, on the BCS stage, TCU proved it didn't belong, especially after all this shit talk about being better than Texas. A pretty similar Texas team spanked TCU last time they played.

they did have bradford that game and OU did beat stanford. Houston did beat OSU and UTEP actually is a decent team if vittatoe and buckram play like they can win. Also houston did beat miss state a SEC team (I know they went 5 - 7 but any SEC team is a threat to any other team even in the SEC). In 07 UCF almost beat Texas and in 07 TCU was led by a young qb.

Do a little search online and look up the affidavits from Leach's Athletic Trainer and Team Dr. They don't back up what Leach told the press. They do confirm that Tech did the right thing when they fired the jerk. Stay in school son, you need an education.

I have looked at the facts that have come out and they do not dispute what happened either. At any rate Leach was good for TTU. I was not in the athletic department, but Leach would come in and lecture some of the history classes I took. He was more interested in the full develpment of the students. How many coaches would do that?

First- It does not matter if he won a National Title; that is not why we like hime.
Second- He was more than a coach at TT, he came and lectured classes, he would help student organizations and Lubbock organization.
Third- He took Tech to new places on a fraction of the budget that even A&M gets much less the rest of the Big 12

I was ready to fire leach after the Houston game when he didnt kick a field goal or when he went for 4th and 3 on their 30, also when he let our club foot injured QB play in Stillwater, or during the A&M weekend when he kept Potts stay in too long then letting our wonderful fans boo him off the field, or when we barely squeaked it out against Baylor. Good video & song. The James family destroyed a major Big 12 football program. How could sitting in ANY room possibly hurt a mild concussion? Was his head getting hit in there? NO! You don't seem to get it. The James kid lacked the talent and work ethic to play. How do you bench a player already on the bench? Maybe Leach should have kicked him off the team, but wouldn't that lead to AJs pussy dad going on espn to say his son got kicked off the team because he was injured. This seemed to be more about the James kid (it's ironic that others his age are adults) and his attitude (showing up in street clothes and shades) versus the fact he had a concussion.

I agree (and I can't believe I'm saying this) with 12aggie12 in that the University wanted Leach gone for a while now. They do not see eye to eye, they are uber conservative, and are the Kings of No Fun For the Students (hence a big part of why I think Tech students act out so much). But, I know people who know the James family personally, and they are prima-donnas. Craig James called the HOA on a neighbor because their grass was not cut low enough. He's THAT guy.

What's kind of fuzzy about this story is that the "LOCKED closet" is now an equipment garage. If it was in the equpment garage he was placed in, I'm sure the garage door was wide open for full use during a practice game. IF THIS IS TRUE... I will just ASSUME that Adam was just trying to not participate with the team because he was not treated like royalty because of his father's ties with ESPN. And the coach knew this, and made sure that Adam was there with the team, and not playing XBOX.

Tons of incidents, I live here in Lubbock, and just some of the stuff I've seen...college guys threatening to KILL children because they are wearing burnt orange. Cars swerving off the road towards Longhorn fans after games. Booing your own QB off the field...
I honestly believe that the fans here are pretty tasteless. I bet it will be less than a week before Adam James starts getting death threats in the mail...and you know it will happen...because TTU fans having nothing better to do.
