I'd advise that you try using positive reinforcement or clicker training. If you have a trainer that uses a shock collar to teach tricks you might want to look into getting a different trainer.
this is exactly how i trained Dukie my labradoodle, I used treats to teach him all his tricks. you can see just how good it worked. we started at 8 weeks old.
labradoodles, along with goldendoodles, and poodles are the best dogs as companions. They are highly intelligent and beautiful too! This one is so eager to learn! Priceless!
