@usmcmurphy87 i have a 06 mazda 6i sport and this douche in a blinged out 04 mustang was cutting me off and trying to race me on my way home from college. i had 93 octane and he ate my dust pretty quick. though i got beat by a 4x4 durango with 87 octane in my tank. would like to finish paying it off so i can mod the engine.

@Zoomin6 6700? Hell, I didn't know it even went that high. I always shift around 6300. Which kit is that? Its little too boy racer for my tastes, but its clean. I've got an 04 6S in Lapis Blue. Headers, St8 pipes, CAI, etc. Just picked up a Precision SC6262 turbo for my summer build.

yes but the mazda and the jag engines have a uncanny resembalance to the ford duratec engines up to a v6, the v8s i dont think are ford but more the engines produced by land rover and range rover that fit into the jag and some fords.

well duh, ford do own rights, basicaly ive seen a few comments goin ford are better and that the st 220 mondeo v6 is better but its the same 3.0 v6 in this as it is in the ford mondeo, both are duratech engines. mazdas are basicaly now fords underneath just like the jags were and some still are and just like volvos, this is why ford have become a more reliable manufacturer, i used to h8 them cos they wo so fuking unrealiable n rusty n had tinny interiors, typical american ones like dodge have!

Not quite true, although the manufacturers have always shared technology they are not the same and the engines do differ.

Also Ford only have at the most a 14% share in Mazda, they used own more yes but never a majority share.

Ford did own Jaguar but apart from the X-type they were still Jags.

Ummm no you are wrong they are the exact same engine that comes in the lincoln ls jag xtype. Also the taurus only the taurus didnt get the vvt till later like 07 i think but they are still the exact same motor. Its a ford duratec with a mazda badge

I think they only made the speed6 for a year because of awful tranny problems. Good car but the 4 cylinder couldnt handle much than what it already had. The 3 liter v6 has got a lot of potential, and the car is a lot better looking too. So a 4 cyl turbo or a V6 turbo sleeper? Ill take the V6.

the speed6 was made 2 years not 1. and if you dont beat on it all the time and if you know how to drive then the tranny is fine. i personally love my speed6. i love the AWD factor.

A black hood on a silver car.. and that body kit, is some what similar to the Bomber body kit from Extreme Dimensions. Just doesn't suite the car in my opinion, at all. But if that's what they like, good for them.

go register on mazda6club... theres so much info there, there are like 2 that were discontinued, and 2 currently in production, obx and msds... and dc's headers never made it to the market
