  • William Wallace: Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

  • "Salute" to the martyrs of that time

  • in USA the people poor (42 millions) would have to go out to facing the government

  • "One million Chinese can be considered a small number" A small proportion actually, but most things of consequence start with a small proportion of people. This is a lesson for all of us. Remember, people risked their lives to smuggle the mere knowledge of these events out of China, and that only to reflect the true risk taken by the protesters. They suffered a logistical defeat but not yet an ideological defeat.

  • Fuck china, and whys there a screaming donkey in the background.

  • As an American I understand the beauty of Liberty. These people are brave.

More brave than most Americans? Yes.

  • this is some amazing footage, wow, this shows people how oppressive a government can be

  • the name of the song at the video end please

    great video

  • shitty music

  • People who died should be given a great deal of respect.

Sometimes the soldiers aren't the heroes,it's the civilians who really care and are ready to die.

  • the other content of the video aside, does anybody happen know what the music in the background is and where I could find it? Specifically the music around 4:00?

  • Yet another example of military cowardice!

  • @millas14 hey north korea is kingdom

Rule of Jucheism and Kim III

  • Go to baidu . com and look up "tiananmen square massacre" to see what they are telling their own people about this.

  • @Leheno This is how I ended up on this video after the link was posted on a phony story

  • Every country is Protesting for a reason. They want to end big government and give the power back to the people!! Let's stop fighting each other and band together!! In the end it's them or us. Sad but true!!

  • @tysgirl13 Amen to that!

  • I don't like the CCP, nor do I hate it. I just don't mind. But come on guys, be realistic here, trolling your anti-CCP shit here... on YOUTUBE, won't make the CCP go away.

If anyone is to demolish the CCP, you have to do something like how the CCP demolished the Chinese Nationalist Party (Chinese tyrant before the CCP). Once you've gotten the support of majority of the Chinese, then you can drive the CCP out of the land. Then you can establish your Democracy.

    Not by trolling on Youtube.

  • People exaggerate... as of now, the CCP's iron fist is loosening. If not, there would not of been a lot of Chinese immigrating to other countries like Canada or the US.

I'm not saying in a way of supporting the CCP, its just what I've seen so far from the day of Mao's uprising, till now, 2011, Hu Jintao.

  • Senate bill 1867... It's coming...

  • AMERICAN PRESS FULL OF SHI*

  • THATS WHY I LOVE COMMUNISM

CHINA THE GREATEST COMMUNIST COUNTRY. A COUNTRY HAS TO BE RUTHLESS OR IT WILL BECOME LIKE RUSSIA WHICH IS BEGGING NOW AFTER ABOLISHING COMMUNISM

  • @PJAdarsh7 China isn't actually communist, they're totalitarian. The only real communist country (which is actually communist, not just saying it is) is North Korea.

  • i like this song

  • @Roflacopters and yet china still cant be trusted noe even U.s and U.n wont sell weponds to china :/ china will pay casue they dident t pay back yet! i shall do it my self..... if i could

  • These images show protesters dragging soldiers from their vehicles and burning tanks. Believe what you want to - an account from a ex-anti-China person who was there and heard no gunfire or a biased American account of the story.

  • the American news agencies insisted that the tank was trying to run over the civilian. By looking at the tracks laid by the tank, you don't have to be a Sherlock Holmes to realise that this statement is a load of bulls***. All these were from an eyewitness account from a person who used to be extremely anti-China until the American bombing of the Chinese embassy in Yugoslavia which was an "accident". (cont.)

  • The true "massacre" was in one area where protesters dragged out the soldiers from their vehicles and started beating them with fists and stones and whatever. In that situation, the military had no choice but to retaliate in self-defence, resulting in civilian deaths. There have been cases where protesters stood in front of tanks. In these cases, the tanks tried to go around the person or stopped altogether (as in one case), but (cont.)

  • The military was not given the order to shoot at civilians. The majority of forces at that night were blocked off by bus barricades and the tyres of the trucks of the military were shredded by protesters. When the protesters found an officer alone, they would beat him and burn him alive. On that night, military units entered and gave instructions for the people to evacuate, providing even routes. (cont.)

  • This is the main problem with Governments. They think they have power, but it is the people of the nation that holds the true power. Military action only works so well. A protester has a stone and kills a soldier. Now the protester has a Ak-47 and uses and kills. Now more Protesters have aks, and they kill. Soon they have RPGs, and mortars, then anti-tank weapons. If the people fight long enought they can cause severe damage.

  • did you give credit to the song. im curious because i want to know the name

  • @MrSexyManForever. Go occupy an English book. It's you're.

  • Have you guys heard of the Senate bill 1867?

    This could happen in America...:(

  • @Homopsycho1 Absolutely.

  • @RockStarPreacher It's some frightening stuff. I have mailed letters to my congressmen to go against it's passing.

  • Tbh... I would've done the exact same thing if I was deng xiaoping. They've been warned many times to leave, put some stupid freedom statue right in front of thr great leader mao, and I bet mao would of done the same thing cause that's what great leaders do which is running your country the right way and maintain social order rather then being threatened by a bunch of little twerps that has head bands that say "my life is in ur hands haven't eaten in 45 days

  • Your a stupid fool if you think people have no rights other than those a bunch of militant, abusers give you, no thanks, you can live in that land by yourself & other idiots like you!

  • @WDI2008 I HOPE TO HELL THAT THAT WAS SATIRE! cause if not buddy, then by all means, let's deport you to Guantanamo and have the likes of you tortured. there would be no moral stain on anybody if that was done. you're the reason why children die in Africa.

  • It saddens me that people compare OWS with these protests, when there's no correlation whatsoever.

  • @TLK013 there are slight similarities. although the biggest difference is the reaction by the government. but that's based on the entire event, and OWS is still plowing through. OWS is based on democracy fighting capitalism (or rather, corporatism, as it should be rightly called). while this revolution is based on true democracy within monetary communism fighting government communism (the morality of financial communism is debatable, however government capitalism is definitely corrupt).

  • @braklinath:

To your first point: OWS is not a democratic movement. What they advocate is textbook socialism: government control of resources and government provided basic needs (housing, food, day-care services, guaranteed jobs, ect). Democracy is a style of government, capitalism is a style of economic policy.

And what you call "government capitalism" is called crony capitalism, which is basically what china has now. Capitalism is not the problem: it's government corruption.

  • This is what should be to the occupy LA Protestors! Bring in the Tanks and Machine Guns and open fire on them like the Chinese did at Tiananmen Square in 1989!

  • @WDI2008 Your entitled to your opinion because this is America if you are American, but you could easily be shot for what you are saying now if the people at Occupy deserve to be shot in your book. You take away the peoples voices and you take away THE FIRST AMENDMENT.

  • The person who wrote a comment in Chinese says: The voice of communism has already explained itself. Greece, Democracy’s cradle has collapsed. Only communism can rescue the evil past society. What is to fart. Communism!!! Yes, this looks very weird, because it’s hard to know what may not be going on a Chinese mind. But in case it is what I think: 像你这样的人简直是最没前途不过了。 你的想法又片面又存在误区。而且你能也是一个无知、毫无用处的人。 不值得活着,反正都白来了这世界。
  • The chinese government has blocked all access to and knowledge of this act of the 99%'s first movement. Corporate internet businesses have colluded and agreed to restrictions on free information to the People of China.

  • back the 99% and remember it started with this one man's bravery.

  • It's funny how none of the Chinese kids at my school had never herd of this, until they came here.

  • anyone know where I can find balanced, accurate statistics and views on this subject over the internet?

  • 共黨的喉舌已經講了。民主的發源地希臘已經崩潰了。只有共產主義才能拯救這個萬惡的舊社會了。甚麼是放屁。共黨!!!

  • Thank you for posting this informative video. It MUST be shared and Youtube here is a great means.

  • i would hope that if Americans ware attacked by the America Govt the govt would deeply regret it...Americans don't have sticks and stones....Don't think it would happen but it would be very interesting, and would be a great read if someone wants to write about it.

  • (Comment Removed By Chinese Goverment)

  • But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security-

    US Declaration of Independece

  • Never forget

  • :-(

  • The Chinese people shall rise again! Power to the people! Freedom cannot be stopped!!!

  • Hasn't Google for the most part pulled their servers out of China because of China's strong regulations making it almost impossible/not worth it to Google?

  • @Kage6415 I have recently come back from china. There is no Google at all and Youtube is heavily restricted. A beautiful country and great people non the less. Everyone i spoke to loved their government.

  • The people who died knew that they would die, but they also knew that there were cameras from news stations all over the world watching. May their souls forever rest in piece.

  • Is there anyone see massacre in this video ?

  • It amazes me to read the comments here. Does anyone realize what they are seeing? If we don't band together, get EDUCATED, and resist tyrants, then WE ALL DESERVE WHAT HAPPENS TO US! Ignorance is something to be hunted down and destroyed. Racism is nothing to be proud of. Learn history, or watch it repeat itself over and over. THIS CAN HAPPEN ANYTIME , ANYWHERE! When it does, remember you will have only yourself to blame. I'll see you all in hell.

  • @ORDOTRIO Ironic how you state a ''free mind'' vision of the world but then finish your text with a relation to the religious punishment. I hope it was only a metaphor :)

  • and these fucking slopes own most of our debt

  • @kw0s Dumbshit, after the whole event was over, the government threatened the people to not say anything about Tiananmen Square or else they will be locked up or executed

  • Complete BS, I was almost there. I was there 2 weeks prior and 4 years after. I came back to US and was shocked by the reports on American media, until I went back and talked to my relatives living in various cities, including Beijing. I went to the so call crime scene and talked to the victims- student leader. I walked away shaking my head realizing this was a HUGE Western propaganda of greatly twisted truth and some Hollywood effects- massacre vs. a handful. A real wake up call for me.

  • at least we know that the american soldiers weren't corrupted as they did not run him over and simply move on... they tried to drive around him.. they didn't want to kill yet they were forced to.

  • @834113

those are not a American soldiers their all Chinese soldiers.

  • @834113 This happened in China 20 years ago. No Americans were involved whatsoever. Chinese students are not allowed to know how many of their brothers and sisters were slaughtered that day. Many of them never will. You, however, live in a free country with a top notch education given to you, yet you still got the facts wrong. You wear your ignorance like a badge for all to see.

Fuck me, you people are stupid.

  • @ORDOTRIO yeah.. last time i heard about this was years ago when i was like 13, i don't remember much facts anymore, but im not stupid, just because i got a few facts wrong doesn't make me stupid.... its you ignorant fucks who try to target everyone and try to make them feel stupid without you actually knowing them... i get it wrong and im suddenly the bad guy? No... FUCK U... stop being such a kiss ass and spare me the hate.

  • @834113 To see that you are an ignorant fool, all one has to do is read your comment. GETTING FACTS WRONG IS EXACTLY WHAT MAKES YOU STUPID! You "feel" stupid because you are spreading your ignorance to the world, and yet you still don't understand why it is important to learn history before it repeats itself. Yes, I absolutely target ignorance. Everyone should. Dipshits like you enable dictators to survive. Stop being a burden to humanity and spare me the extra taxes, retard.

  • ...you got an A on this, right?

  • Pray for those countries like this what try to stamp out God and freedom from their culture. Never forget this, learn from it, and perhaps one day we may be privelaged to help dismatle the cruel government, that ordered this massacre. Perhaps one day we may be privelaged to tear down Communism in China, in Russia, and all other places in the world that groan under dictators who hold all the power and have no care or pity in their hearts for the people they're meant to serve.

  • what is the song called?

  • whats the song called? i love it ;)

  • “I’m sorry for the way things are in China. I’m sorry things ain’t what they used to be. But more than anything else, I’m sorry for myself,” (“I’m Sorry” by John Denver.) I’m sorry the U.S. Government did not give you, my China brothers and sisters, a helping hand when you asked for one. But the U.S. Government was not about to leave its multi-national corporations without a slave labor force. Our jobs came with a curse of semi-slavery and political oppression. “I’m sorry.”

  • “I’m sorry for the way things are in China. I’m sorry things ain’t what they used to be. But more than anything else, I’m sorry for myself,” (“I’m Sorry” by John Denver.) • Our hearts are with you at Tiananmen. The people's struggle will be heard soon.

  • Standing up to the state is scary. They have artillery, tanks, flame throwers, smoke grenades, machine guns, an army of propagandized henchman to operate it all, and the protestor has none of those things.

  • 1:47 Mao stares condescendingly at statue

  • just like america will never forget 9-11, china will never forget the massacre of tiananmen<3

  • I love this tune, anybody has got the name of the song?

  • @loempia741 血染的风采, which is used to be a song for the PLA soldiers.

  • The Chinese government disliked -;- fudge you Chinese government

  • Dictatorships NEVER last forever,,, today the Libyans made history by capturing Ghadaffi's son.. we,Syrians, are standing against the most barbarous regime humanity has ever witnessed.. and Bashar is sooo OVER too just like Ghadaffi..

  • stop buying chinese products for once. Who needs to have some plastic shit.

  • How are you, GI Joe? It seems to me that most of you are poorly informed about the going of the war, to say nothing about a correct explanation of your presence over here. Nothing is more confused than to be ordered into a war to die or to be maimed for life without the faintest idea of what's going on.

  • Yeah, democracy seems to be working out real swell in America as of late. Nobody can agree on anything or do what is needed to keep the country from going bankrupt. Seems we could learn a thing or two from China and the benefits of authoritarian government. China's economy grew 9% last year, US is in a recession. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see who has their head up their ass and who is moving forward.

  • @fvgdfbdokd I'll take 20% unemployment over being dragged out of my home, tortured, imprisoned, and sentenced to a re-education camp, for expressing my views, like I am right now, over 9% growth in a bubble economy.

  • @aguyandhistwosons thats the thing though. Hopefully one day it won't matter what you think because the American people fail at making sound and logical choices about who they elect and thus what policies are enacted.

  • @aguyandhistwosons Things will be run better when someone makes those decisions for you one day.

  • HEY KEEGAN

  • I am a dictator!

  • They even done they own freaking liberty's statue!

  • You can say what you want, the people in china, have money in their pockets, food in their stomachs, safety if their family and the future. It is the richest nation in the world.

We Westerners, we are hungry, unemployed, and poor. our governments are corrupt, We slaughtered our soldiers with our own hands in Iraq and Afghan. Thousands of innocent lives have been lost at home and abroad, the staging of 9/11 by the G.Bush administration. We are ignorant and refuse to accept the truth.....

  • We have PhDs in Physics and Chemistry and blame terrorists for bombing the WTC, when it was a controlled demolition. Saddam Hussian didnt have WMDs. Our soldiers fought for "operation iraqi freedom" Iraqis were capable our freedim by themselves like the Egyptians. I dont give a shit about Saddam, Osama, Afghan or Iraq. I care for the innocent men& women who sacrificed everything only to get betrayed by the people who sent them to do the job in the first place.

  • @spcll1 well, you convinced me. Where do I sign up and hand over my right to speak openly about my oppressive government?

  • There is a 6 month old baby without a father, a wife without a husband, a mother waiting for her son to return. The son who died 8 years ago while the bastard afghan he was trying to save in the first place.

If there is any hope left in humanity people like G.Bush and Tony Blair should be punished for their crimes. Do it yourselves, for your family, your children, your grandchildren.

  • @spcll1 Propagandist says what?

  • @spcll1 you must only be referring to part of China then, because those from rural areas aren't so well-off, migrant workers into the cities have a hard enough time of it, and students with all the education they were ever told they needed can't easily find jobs, not to mention issues of the governments respect to human rights and corrupt officials running rampant. You're much better off in America and you should probably appreciate it.

  • @HagarenXneko rofl "should probably" just great

  • @BBC1146 no one "should probably" deal in absolutes

  • @HagarenXneko Kid. its a double negative (over sensitive much).

  • @BBC1146 only in using one of the definitions of 'should'...'should probably' is a perfectly valid combination. maybe think a little more before making extremely vague mockery on someone else's posts, in relation to nothing they said?

  • @HagarenXneko Chinese and there translations, Go get some English lessons and then come back little boy. dirty country.

  • @BBC1146 you r old dirty asshole ?

  • People's liberation army more like People's Oppression Army

  • who can understand China? only Chinese; it likes who can understand America only American.do't criticise randomly a nationa after you saw some information. maybe it was aggrandized by some newspaper office.

  • What a brave man... What brave men!

  • i never knew my country's govenemnt was like this b4....

  • @peacekeeper2403 I totaly agree with you but your wrong about one thing, not only communist and dictatorial nations follow blindly their leader of superior, but even in countries with a democracy it stil happens, for example look at the vietnamese war about what america did.

  • @blackeagke40 The American's didn't follow blindly in Vietnam... A draft was even en-stated that forced the American men into war. Not to mention the fact that the American troops in Vietnam were becoming stagnant, and the lack of knowledge on psychedelic drugs (which allowed them to be used in mass) caused many of the armed forces to become ineffective, suffer from mental break down and post traumatic stress. A lot of the soldiers acted horrifically do in part to the break downs.

  • In soviet russia, they did not do that!

  • @isureknowsomething85 Yeah I'm not going to comment any further then this statement to ensure you understand I don't believe in conspiracies with such weak tides.

  • 4:15 The people fought back with the only weapons they had (stones and bricks). Pay attention ladies and gentlemen this is why we have the second amendment!

  • 56 people are communist ball lickers

  • i wonder if a dry cleaning store was looted....

  • It's a big shame fuckin china!!

  • It's a big shame fuckin china!!

  • 55 dislikers are Chinese Communist supporters

  • As I know that Deng Xiaoping did not say the words like the Media said ...

Why the Western Media and government always want to make the world mass, kill the people in the Iray, Afghanistan? Can they just kill people for Oil?

  • What song is in the second half, it is so beautiful

  • I cried when it said they were protecting the news crews to get their mesage. I mean it's one thing to fight for your belief, but to be willing to die to help forward it is something completely different. I respect them!

  • what console is this on?

  • @gorackify what console is it on .... do you think it 's a game or something????

  • @SuperFishs dumb ass i was implying that all kids care about is video games think a little before you post

  • @gorackify but thats not ture im a kid i care bout more stuff than games

  • Yuri Bezmenov--ex-KGB ideological subversion specialist--in his interview of 1984 (can be found on utube) illustrates quite starkly (particularly parts 7 through part 9) just how evil men enslave free nations to Big Brother government, just like the poor people of China who refuse to be part of the corrupt, socialist Party.

Every form of slavery should be fought to the end.

  • For a Government to totally control 100% the people it is suppose to serve, it only needs to control it's education and it's information. What's sad to me about this video and many historical moments in many nations, is how blindly a military unit and even Government Officials in Communist and Dictatorial nations follow one man's order(s), even if they are mentally unfit to put on pants, their word is followed to the last detail.

  • @Peacekeeper2403

It's a sad bi-product of of absolute devotion to an unwavering ideal. These people don't serve the man, they serve the ideology. The problem is that there are no simple solutions to human problems, and as such uncompromising ideals inevitably become the problem not the solution.

  • @Sarothi I agree with you. This inability to compromise some crazy ideals become extremely problematic. The only reason China has become what it is today, is because they compromised the traditional Chinese Communist ways. Instead of suffering the same fate as the USSR they created a new system using the Western ideals. They call it capitalism but it's not, they're economy is still controlled by their communist government. Their system is simply a hybrid mix which makes it a new one in by belief

  • @Peacekeeper2403 Not every communist.

  • @Peacekeeper2403 Not every communist.

  • Who is that guy?

  • The guy that stood in front of the tank has become a world wide symbol of resistence and no-one to this day knows anything about him, or what happened to him!

  • "Peoples Liberation Army"? Some liberation if you kill your own people.

  • we are gonna hack chinese government sites and foward the informations to wikileaks!! nobody can stop us!!!!! I mean nobody.........

  • @ascendead1 well there is also the technology oophole around that Firewall they have in China

  • I watched half of this video without any emotion, then randomly it hit that compared to any single one of these people in the crowd. I am a selfish mother fucker. It makes me sick to be sitting here watching this sick shit because I am too scared to do anything about it. I hope those people get liberated very soon, I have a friend over there and she tries to make it sound good. It is obvious she hates it though... I hope that tank-man guy is okay...

  • @okboy100 i learned in Government class my senior year that after the video feed got cut off the tank ran him over to show everyone that there government will stop at no cost to stop the protesting

  • I got chills when one of the protesters said "take care of yourself!"

I met a daughter of one of the survivors of this event. She sadly supports the Chinese gov't, but only because she has been brain washed to do so. Almost every Chinese person knows this event has happened, but they all feel powerless or unwilling to accept that their gov't is oppressive.

  • I think I won't sleep today

  • deng xiaoping is the best!!

  • China is against us helping Libya and Syria because they are controlled by tyrants too.

  • @nflajole

your assumption applies only to gcc members and not china

  • @nflajole Yeah and I bet we didn't interfere in china during this did we?! NOPE!

  • @nflajole China has changed a lot in the last 22 years. It has opened up, even though it is still authoritative

  • @nflajole

US can't afford to help Libya and Syria.

  • @nflajole gaddafi is not a tyrant. he wanted to help his peolpe but america didnt liked that. and now they want him down.

  • @nemanjacoric YaI can see that he wants to help his people, thats why he is killing them by the thousands, by the time he is done maybe he will have killed more than the Tiananmen Square Massacre, and he would probably think that is an accomplishment. Lets call evil, evil. If your people say they want change you don't shoot them in the face. Gaddafi isn't fooling anyone except you and soon he will be gone good ridens.

  • @nflajole he wanted to give oil to peolpe but america didnt liked that. america is using fake democracy to steal oil from nations. i thing you are brainwashed by your government.
