  • Turned 18 when this came out. The fall of 87 was magic and hearing this again makes me feel Alive!! Great post. Thanks-Mick-

  • MSG reuniting and touring in Feb and March!!

  • Big drums, big hair. I miss my youth! I was about 20 when this song came out. I wore my hair long like this from about 18 until I turned 22. I went through more hairspray on the weekend than many of my girlfriends...definitely a unique and great era for music.

  • give me the 80's music for the rest of my life..so many bands..so many that were original and had a sound of their own. Im glad i got to experience it!

  • if i had to choose 5 videos to show those in their 30s and younger how much better the 80s music and vids were, this would be one of them. great tune, hot women!

  • Another great song done with McAuley and Micheal!!!!!!! Thanks again!

  • It's a good thing that not every song kicks as much ass as this one. We'd get nothing done.

  • @shack8110

No shit! I've got a resume to write and a toilet to clean and here I am frickin' around. Great stuff!

  • @shack8110 hell to the yea

Big hair, blistering guitars, hot chicks and explosions !! It just does not get much better than this one :)

  • I miss the 80's music...MSG Rocked!!!

The only band I can think of keeping 80's type music alive with "new music" is Steel Panther ........... others got to get to it make good rock again

  • i agree the 80s was the best

  • Superb juxtaposition of melody and musicianship!

  • love this tune! used to play it all the time when I had my drums! would just be in my own world! what ever happened to the great rock we used to have?

  • amazing album...i think one of schenkers best..not one bad song on it..mcauley is a great singer ..

  • "OH YEAH"!!!

  • rap is stupid. i can do it.u suck boys. pick up a guitar and try to play and stop talking a bunch of crap.

  • u right man 70 80;s kick ass all these losers that listen to little boys and girls r whats the word no talent, give me a fn break .wake up u rich dum ?.all u need is rock ,and if u dont like it u r fake.metal is #1,rap is not in the charts ,no talented???????.

  • The 1980's, Music kicked ass, had a message in every song, bands actually had technical ability and raw talent, Then came the 90's and music has sucked the big ass ever since. Long live the 80's!!!!

  • @Sidewinder9877

Music industry dont like the messages. They now write their own message and make Asshole Beiber to sing their shitty stuff.

  • @SouthFacedWindows Yes you are correct, unfortunately. What a shame music has become.

  • @Sidewinder9877 Hold on.... what is all this "the 80's music was the best?" There were some good bands, but there was a bunch of crap too.Remember New Wave, Pop, ABBA, Poison, Europe, etc... there was plenty of bad stuff on the radio.

  • @TVfanfanatic Nothing wrong with Poison and Europe. I'll take them over shit like Nirvana any day.

  • @Sidewinder9877 Europe's "The Final Countdown" and Poison's entire collection of music are pure crap. Why is there so much hate on "alternative" Music? Nirvana gave the rock world a much needed slap across the face. Alternative blew up b/c groups like Poison ruined hard rock. So many late 80's early 90's rock groups had shake and bake tunes, power ballads, too much Neon Spandex and big hair.

  • @TVfanfanatic And lastly, the 80's bands actually had songs with rhythm and their lyrics made sense (unlike Nirvana which was just pure noise and had "lyrics" that made about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine.) You call Poison and Europes music crap but praising a band that sounds like a bunch of 12 year olds who just started playing their instruments better? Sorry but theres no talent in just making noise on the guitar.

  • @Sidewinder9877 Couldn't agree more. Even the vanilla corporate bands from the late 80's like Poison actually knew how to write songs and play complex riffs and chords. Nirvana and alot of the other alternative bands repeated the same few basic chords and Cobain was the laziest most monotone singer around.

  • it looks like some animal died on the singer's head and just stayed there hahahahahaha

  • All the respect to legendary Schenker, but Perry definitely killed him on this song. No question.

  • Perry interrupts Schenker's solo the way grunge interrupted metal with equally miserable results.

  • Those 13 people don't give any love

  • I don't agree with whoever thinks Perry plays a better solo. Schenker is playing a melodic solo with good tone, and then all of a sudden Perry comes in with a generic "tapping" solo and inferior vibrato. It's like he just craps all over it.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @DRATCHFAN hahaha inferior vibrato, that's hillarious

  • man I wish I lived back in the 80's there was much better music than there is today

  • What a magnificent juxtaposition of song craftsmanship and musicianship! KILLER tune!

  • When I got cable, this is the first song on my first Head Banger's Ball! I loved it!!!

  • I love Michael Schenker's playing, but Mitch Perry (the other guitar player) torches him.

  • Best Mullet EVER!!!!

  • First time I hear something from McCauley-Shenker. I´m Shenker fan, and even when this tune has a good commercial sound to it, (it sounds like Autograph,), it lacks Shenker´s melodic and aggresive guitar playing. You can tell he is not in charge here.

  • first time I hear something from McCauley-Shenker. I´m a Shenker fan and even when this is a good commercial tune,(it sound like Autograph), it has nothing to do with early Shencker. Schenker´s melodic and agressive playing is totally missing here. You can tell he is not in charge.

  • man bring back the 80's please, the music was rockin and cool, the women hot, just plain good times.. that seems to be lost now a days the record compay's won't listen to us and put out bands like this and others from back then, they only want the pre teen kids money but they forget we adults have alot more to offer if given a reason....

  • SCHENKER ROCKS!!!!!!!!

  • ... i saw Talas with Mitch back in the day here in Chi-Town ... amazing show !!!

  • Schenker is one of the greatest gtr players to walk the face of the earth, but Mitch Perry kicks ass on this album too..met him when he was playin w/Talas & he was cool & killed on gtr.....Billy Sheehan & Mark Miller too..................

  • @ 1:56 came my biggest urge to build a time machine

  • Saw them support Whitesnake in the 80's at Wembley Arena, brilliant live

  • This video had lot...ahem... influence on me in my 'developmental' years, especially the parts right around :55 & 3:02.

  • the second guitar solo sounds like down down down by house of lords

  • I heard Robin McAuley had to have blinking lights in his hair so planes didn't crash into it.

  • Joe, Robin el mejor cantante de la etapa MSG

  • Michael Schenker is one hell of a rock legend!!!! Keep rocking bro!!!

  • je prefere l'epoque ufo , désolé michael, a ce moment là tu été trop pop ; à mon gout.....

  • Lov3 d3m 5ick bl@ast B3atZZZZZZZ.

  • Damn!..Mcauley's hair would made some Kentucky trailer trash dude go... "shit!..that mofo has a big ass mullet"

  • great voice , gees he cld have joined Vh , wld of rocked

  • Yeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh

  • bring back the Metal, These guys could sing and play their instruments!

  • Take me back to 1987!

  • @Blaubeerwald1 PREACH ON!! testify!!! Those bands that killed themselves worrying more about the hair thant he music, have learned their lesson and the time is RIGHT. TIme to bring back MUSIC the way it was God will someone at a record company LISTEN to the music fans and not what is "hot" atm... geeez someone please save the true music lovers from the crap they play today!!

  • OMG these guys are frickin awesomely cool ! This is when music was truly kickass, thanks for sharing with a diehard 80's chick ! Never dies for me . . . always loyal to it

  • Saw MSG at The Button on Ft. Lauderdale strip. Way back in the day. I was sitting inside the speaker. They F-ing rocked.

  • Damm, Schenker rocks !!1 let it roll Micheal

  • Michael Schenker is badass!!

  • Great Song, excellent Album

  • Another lost 80's classic

  • I guess all these bands had to do the BIG 80's thing and put out songs like this. I liked them better when they did their own thing not what the record lables wanted

  • I didnt know there was a guest guitarist when our old band used to play this...Does anyone know who it is??

  • @hellish1102

Mitch Perry from Talas was the second guitarist on the Perfect Timing album. He did alot of the tapping style solos and complimented Michael really well on the record. This was a kickass record. Wish I could get it on iTunes.

  • I like the new music gaga etc. But I was raised on 80's music and I love it. The songs back then speak the truth, love

  • Anyone know where to get a copy of Perfect Timing?

  • @smilehallie Try Ebay

  • MSG (Michael Schenker Group) the name says it all.

Robin Macauly had a great voice but to demand a change to an already established band name made no sense,it was all about ego.

I have every album schenker has ever done (weird really as im a bass player).

My first ever gig was schenker and ive loved him ever since

  • Macauly schenker group my arse.

Robin mcauly had a great voice but it wasn"t that great to hijack the michael schenker name, absolute tosser ( shame really as the albums were great)

    Robin Mcauley is a tosser.

  • @MrAshimoto

What's wrong with the name? Makes sense tbh.

  • Robin McAuley is one of Irelands great blues rock singers. Definitely Schenkers best singer along with Gary Barden. Yeah the look was a little cheesy but Whitesnake had just cashed in their rock n blues for metal so Schenker and McAuley were married for a brief moment of great cheese metal.

Those are not hair extensins btw.

  • Best of the best !!

  • My Hair just grew back and someone returned my Ripped Jeans.......

I cannot get enough of this song.....Man it blows away so many 80's bands.

    Max

  • I just can't get Enough of this Song.....Keep the Song and the Red Wine Flowing....

    Amazing....2010

  • 3:50... mmmm ^^

  • hair extensions for Michael, models galore, and a flaming queer for a lead singer... none of it was able to get recognition for the unmatched talent of Schenker

  • I like so many of you agree that after 1989 everything that was great disapeared. Can you believe Great White playing a very small town fair in the street this year? Just cant believe all this great stuff is gone. How can music companies not get it that there is a huge need for this type of music to make a comback. There isnt one company willing to take the chance no one else will and do something different and see what will happen?? There is money to be made, any of you listening???

  • @80srockforever666 I agree with you 110%. after the 80's, music went, well, nowhere. There is no more talent in music. Hell, they don't even play their own instruments anymore. It's all pre-recorded, pre-mixed, CRAP. They find a pretty face, boy or girl, some bozo slaps some cheesy lyrics comprised of a few words together, get some dance instructor to put together ridiculous dance routines, and they market them as the hottest thing to hit the music world. Yes, they SHOULD be listening to you.

  • @80srockforever666 There were a few good bands after 1989, but not many: Collective Soul, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana. Definitely by the mid 90s, the slide began.

  • @80srockforever666 ok, i like this music quite a bit as well, but lots of money to be made? I think you may be going just a bit to far, i mean, look at the total hits on this video, 258k? Thats not a 'huge' need.

All that said, I love this song, and Schenker's guitar solo and riff, simple, but great!

  • @geocline Just 'cuz there is only 258k view for this vid, it's not a good idication. These guys were definetly one of the less successful of this genre. No indication of talent, just the facts. There are definitely millions of fans of 80's metal that are waiting for comebacks of old artists and for new bands to rediscover what I think is the best period in Rock history!!

  • @80srockforever666

we can blame it all on the no-talent ass clowns nirvana

  • @80srockforever666 2 deals on that my comrade.

#1 there aren't any musicians of this caliber out there.

#2 record companies, like the rest of the united states, are controlled and run by mega-corporations. The dollar is more important than art.

Schenker is an historical genius and it will take 2 or 3 hundred years to put him into perspective. If we have that long

  • @80srockforever666 no dude it's thanks to rap music that everything changed

  • @80srockforever666 -- you are more right then most might ever know... I agree with you 100 percent. I used to play guitar to this song over and over as a kid.. along with many others.

2 fingers up with 2 finger gap... Metal Horns...

  • @80srockforever666 Takes money lots of it to make money and push a new band with this sound, its just not there, lots of 80s rockers just are out to take money from the young ppl trying to do it. I know first hand with XYZ. Keep supporting. Im still doing what i need to for the return. Just hope it gets everyone that is wanting it.

  • @80srockforever666 everything that was great DIDN'T disappear in 1989. winger released "easy come, easy go" in 1990, and it was one of the greatest glam rock songs of all time. (it peaked at number forty one on the charts in the united states.) glam rock COULD make a comeback some year, but it would have to be "disguised" as something else. as something along the lines of "glam/grunge" or "alternaglam." but a straightforward revival of glam rock would probably only attract a small following.

  • @80srockforever666 i can well imagine great white playing a small town fair. they're probably grateful for the gig. since the station nightclub fire, which certainly damaged their reputation, i'm sure they're grateful to be playing anywhere. (grateful for still being alive as well as grateful for having any kind of career at all.)

  • @80srockforever666 i totally agree... the music now a day is ok but nothing compares to the '80's we as the people need to bring this back

  • the girl in the cowboy hat is smokin hot!

  • Dear god, the editor of this video must've had ADD.

  • Trust me: It's not "love" in the truest sense of the word Robin is singing about in this melodic hard-rock masterpiece. ; )

  • man what happened to music ? All this new auto tune and sampling is pure shit compared to real musicianship like MSG, Dokken, Van Halen, Scorpions, etc....

  • That was a nice rock song, rock as it used to be, not the grunge rubbish or the pretenders of today.

  • His voice reminds me of Ace Frehley.

  • Robin McAulay definetely, one of the 'elite' singers of the eighties!

  • Wow, the audio on this is spectacular! One of my all-time favorites.

  • GREAT JOB!! THANKS!!

  • Why even let the other guy solo... Scheker has a timeless style, while the other dude is your standard 80s hammer/pull off guy... boring. I never could figure out why Schenker would have shared his space.

  • @jfrockon

I agree. No one compares to Michael! ...

  • great song. too bad the director had no vision. what a shitty, cheezy video

  • que barbaro que lindas LAS de pelo largo

  • One of the greatest bridges ever - so intense, A+

  • Why was this not a HUGE hit? I blame Poison and Cinderella.

  • Great!I ´d like to have this video with the lyric too.

  • I'm surprised this band had so many music vids when they seem so off the radar.

  • @zapwatt Hey zitwatt, you suck!!! Could you do any better?? I doubt it very seriously.

  • @razorbackfan86 Oh I suck because I have an opinion. Hold on, lemme write that down. . .

  • Hey zitwatt, you suck!! Could you do any better?? I doubt it very seriously. You need to grow up!! @zapwatt

  • @razorbackfan86 Got me twice with the same blast. Impatient.

Awww, so cute, some middle-aged, has-been, butt-rocker got his widdle feewings hurt 'cause I insulted his favorite powerballard group.

  • @zapwatt Zap, your opinion is your opinion and that's fine. I would just point out that the simulated baby talk is no better than what was said to you, but more to the point, why would you bother to come here and comment if you don't like it?

  • @jtoms3 "why would you bother to come here and comment if you don't like it?"

Great question!!!! The answer is: objectivity. If the only purpose for leaving comments is to heap praise, then what is the real point? Where is the genuine expression? I searched for some MSG videos and I left a comment on this one. My comment was an expression of how I really feel, what I really think. Like I said, if comments were only to be agreeable then they would be hollow and meaningless.

  • @zapwatt Fair enough. However, if your original comment would have been as well explained as that one, then I doubt anyone could have said you needed to "grow up". But surely you can see where some would not consider "This sucks" as legitimate criticism.

  • @jtoms3 You might be right. I think my original comment pretty much spoke for itself though. The ultimate in opinion and brevity.

  • Monstrous - and timeless - production values on this album by none other than mastermind Andy Johns, engineer on almost all the Led Zeppelin albums. Also produced/eng Cinderella, Satriani, VH albums of the same era. Signature huge drums and wide-open sound. Doesn't get any better! Makes the most out of any stereo system! :-)

  • @arctics4

What's Andy Johns up to at the minute?

Love this track, got it on a 12" single.

It's the only MSG record I've got.

    Istheir other stuff worth buying?

  • @punksachoo Most recent is Chickenfoot - Hagar's band with Satriani and Michael Anthony. Eng. on Godsmack's 4th in '06. I'm not a big fan of the follow-up to this album. Really dig the early MSG tho.

  • Here is an old 80's hair band classic for all you yunguns who want to know what true music is.

  • didnt they do another video for this song to ?

  • @bennyratt I think "Love is Not a Game" was their second-biggest hit, if I'm remembering correctly.

  • I'll be cranking this tune when I'm 80.

  • that was the first song i heard from them, but it remains the best...

  • My Favorite Song from this band!!!!!!

  • @moopsmulva It's not Moops you jerk! XD

  • @stimpp "It's Moors!" "I'm sorry the answer we were looking for was Moops" :)

  • Putain on a raté une époque !

  • this album was one of the best. i love robins voice since Grand Prix.

  • the intro sounds a lot like sing me away by night ranger.

  • this is slick gotta to love it

  • Man I miss this stuff and my old camaro and mustangs...

  • The thing about all these old videos is they never focus on one girl long enough to actually get a good look.

  • @CFL35

Except that one ugly one with the poofy hair at the mic stand. They show her quite a bit.

  • @CFL35 Pause it.

  • @CFL35 pause the clip easy

  • @CFL35 That´s why the girls in the 80´s allways gonna be the best lookin crop.

  • @CFL35 . Its called a tease. So watch it over and over. Great song!

  • @CFL35 Dissapointed that Michael doesnt play the solo

  • awesome songs always have hot girls in a music video

  • does it get any better??? awesome tune, and incredibly-hot chicks
