Berto is a good prospect with lots of potential, but classing him with PBF, Cotto or Margarito is not fair. He is not there yet at all. If he gets in there with any of these guys he will get outclassed. Not to say that it will be like that say 2-3 years from now. I think he is a top 10 welterweight and thats it for now. Remember that the Welterweigh division at this moment is a whos who for the Hall of Fame.

Berto showed last night that he can take a punch...the fight was a close fight..i thought collazo won but there were close rounds. Berto is a good fighter. If berto wasnt so tired in that last 30 secs of the fight he might have knocked collazo down because he hurt him to the body...all in all that fight should wake berto up and get him to start boxing more...when he boxed collazo he won the rounds..when he threw shot for shot thats when collazo won. Great fight to start year off!!!

I feel Andre Berto will be holding the P4P #1 spot down, in the future. The kid has power, speed & improving on defense. The only time he got dropped was by "Rivera" when he got too open, but I think he learned from it and has a pretty decent chin from the way he recovered. He's no Khan when it comes to taking a punch so I think he can handle the Welter weight elites because he is better skill wise.
