  • Simpler times.... I would pay anything to see these guys live

  • Sad to say, but they took the mold with them, it's over folks.

  • coming home - to the true music of a true america

  • beautiful song.. beautiful melody.. just close my eyes and smile..

  • Oh man that Dobro it runs the chills and the tears.

    LorraineG.

  • @billclorraineg Isn't it a shame that today's "Reso" players ( a term I can't stand) don't know how to back up a song like this. If it is not a song where than can play 48 notes per beat , the new guys are lost. Almost none of them know how to play the melody. Don't we wish we could bring these days here back. Guess I'm just an old "Foggie". Apparently there are a lot of us.

  • @olehoundog1 No your not a an old "Foggie". If you are, then so am I. The players today are truly lost, and I don't think they even know it... Sorry outfits some of them.

  • @olehoundog1 Amen to that brother! Now it's all about how much crap someone can put in a single song, or beat. Gimme a break.

  • @olehoundog1 Couldn't agree with you more..In fact every instrument has gotten like that. It's a crying shame all the REAL Talent is about dead and gone. These guys right here had CLASS.

  • @olehoundog1 Tell it, Brother. Count me in that number.

  • @olehoundog1 No--you are RIGHT! Less...is MORE! That is the definition of TASTE...

  • @olehoundog1 You dang sure said that right. These newbies don't have a clue, and not to mention there's no one out there that can make a "G" Run sound like THIS..AN EXPLOSION!!

  • @bigmrclean You are so right-most of them are too busy playing next to the bridge with a clorox jug thin pick and making that awful 4-finger "new" G chord. You know the one I'm talking about.

  • @olehoundog1 Yeah I know exactly what you're talking about. In my opinion there's nothing wrong with the original 3 finger "G" Chord like most made for 200 years. Lester really blows my mind how he chords things and plays rhythm. His inlay patterns on his guitars were unique as well. Would love to play one of his old Martins. It's weird, He made the "easy" G chord because he wasn't hitting the A string open mostly with his thumb pick. I've tried to play like that...It's tough lol.

  • @olehoundog1 I'm most definitely and Ol' Foggy". Always will be!

  • @billclorraineg That is the greatest Dobro picker of all time Uncle Josh Graves.

  • My man Lester!!!

  • Listen to that dobro sing...
