@billclorraineg Isn't it a shame that today's "Reso" players ( a term I can't stand) don't know how to back up a song like this. If it is not a song where than can play 48 notes per beat , the new guys are lost. Almost none of them know how to play the melody. Don't we wish we could bring these days here back. @olehoundog1 Couldn't agree with you more..In fact every instrument has gotten like that. It's a crying shame all the REAL Talent is about dead and gone. These guys right here had CLASS.

@olehoundog1 Yeah I know exactly what you're talking about. In my opinion there's nothing wrong with the original 3 finger "G" Chord like most made for 200 years. Lester really blows my mind how he chords things and plays rhythm. His inlay patterns on his guitars were unique as well. Would love to play one of his old Martins. It's weird, He made the "easy" G chord because he wasn't hitting the A string open mostly with his thumb pick. I've tried to play like that...It's tough lol.
