  • He did give credit and didn't steal anything. And I don't know what the big deal is. Contestants from X Factor / American Idol have sang songs from other artists that the original artist does not know about or was not contacted for approval (like Coldplay, U2,etc). It's not like they released it as a single and made money. And if they did, the label, of course, would definitely talk to Gabe or whoever the rightful writer is to get the royalty rights, etc. So, people need to relax and enjoy.
