When Jerry pretends to have been shot, Tom runs off to get some bandages. Aside from this, when has Tom EVER had any concern for Jerry's safety? In other episodes, he's tossed firecrackers into Jerry's mouse hole, planned to share Jerry with another cat by cutting Jerry in half with an axe, used Jerry as a golf tee and as fishing bait, and has tried to drop a huge safe on Jerry.
