  • Thank you for the good info! I appreciate learning from those who know the subject of which they speak. I have kinda figured out what I like and works for me but I am learning some good information for my wife, who does not wear the same type of clothing I do. There are different solutions for different apparel- and she has a lot of that :)

  • What a pleasure to watch an informative video where the author is obviously intelligent, doesn't use profanity or just likes to here themselves talk. Thankyou!

  • Love your videos, you're something else.. Where are you from?

  • you're gorgeous ;)

  • i thought she was going to talk about the spider holster for photographers =D

  • Have you found an IWB that is comfortable to use while sitting down? I don't want a OWB.Looking at possibly a pocket holster. Thanks.

  • flasher go some other site

  • nice.and she cute

  • Thanks for the great vid..I learned a lot from it.

  • wow, what a bunch of dueche bags in these comments

  • just buy some bigger tits and stick your gun in there.

  • I wish you were close to New York to give my wife a class!!! Your a Great teacher

  • falling a sleep

  • what a joke

  • Wow she looks like uma thurman, except hotter.

  • @laproxl - LOL. I bte limalife has a sword too;)

  • @laproxl - LOL. I bet limalife has a samurai sword too. She is badass.

  • it is a shame that you Ameircans need a gun to protect yourselves from your fellow Americans.

  • @Dhintheman...Where are you from? I also use mine to protect myself from Mexicans, Canadians and Irish people.

  • @Dhintheman It is a shame you britons no longer have the right to firearms.

  • i like her voice

  • ARE YOU A COP?

  • @limalife Have you noticed guys act like assholes to women who have guns? Whenever my wife goes to buy some ammo everyone thinks shes a cop, some guys act like women can't have guns unless there cops. WTF?

  • @nintendonerd111 Typical male ego's.

  • @MystryUnknown, if you knew cops then you wouldn't have asked that question....

  • @MystryUnknown

Random question I think. Talking about guns and holsters? She must be a cop. They are the only people who have any use for guns and holsters. Anti-gun way of thinking.

  • Every lady should have some kind of weapon to defend themselves. Rape would be non-existent.

  • Now your baby has got knowledge of holsters even before the birth!

  • great video and good info...ty

  • Hello, i enjoy your videos they are very educational. i was wondering if you could help me out on an issue i have. I am a big framed man, and i have trouble concealing my handgun. Do u have any suggestions on what i can do or what kind of holster i need to be able to conceal it better.

  • Do you have a holster that cocks the gun as you take it out? I kinda forgot what it was called.

  • MOLLE is an acronym for MO dular L ightweight L oad-carrying E quipment

  • Love your Videos and with two Daughters who are both hunters and target shooters, I truly appreciate what you give to the 2nd Amendment and to YouTube. Kudos Ms. Lima.

  • Thank you!

  • Hi I was wondering if you could review some holsters for the Ruger sr9. Preferably a snap hold down holster-Thanks love your videos.

  • @Meoff01 S: (adj) beautiful (delighting the senses or exciting intellectual or emotional admiration)

I'd say that "beautiful" DOES describe her!

    @Limalife

THANK YOU so much for this video! I am a new CCW carrier and I have been having many problems finding a gun and holster that I feel comfortable wearing. I am very small as well and worry about frustrating my husband in the gun shop as I have to "try on" every holster/ gun combo in there! :) Your videos have helped a lot!!! <3

  • didn't you used to be George Bluth's secretary?

  • Oh, G_d.... I'm in love!!!!!

  • What do you think about the Pro Carry Deep Comfort Kimber 1911? And, if I have a 4 1/4" barrel, can I still use a 5" holster? Also, Should I get my gun first... or could I get my holster and conceled carry permit now, and get the gun after that? I already know what I want to get, (thanks to your videos.) I'm just not sure if I want a 5" barrel, or a 4 1/4" barrel. BTW This would be my first gun.

  • MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment.

  • Lady, you are so right on! I truly enjoy your videos and the information you present! keep on pack-en! YB

  • your cute lol

  • Hey, keep the videos coming. Really Informative!

  • You've got about as many holster types as I did when I was looking for the best carry holster for me for CCW carry. I found the Milt Sparks Versa-Max for my Sig 229 .40 cal to work best for me. Its an IWB holster but it works great. Good video!

  • STONER HOLSTERS OUT OF MIDDLETOWN OHIO has great leather holsters , i have one and plan on getting another there made very well

  • stoners are pretty creative i pan on having one make me a double sided fanny pack

  • Wow, you are a perfect woman, Feminine, knowledgeable and carries a weapon. Thank you for your videos, helpful for deciding on a holster.

  • lol...sorry...but i know looking at retrospect, it was serious when you gun spilled out...but it's funny to looking back now.

very informative...i'm about to purchase my first handgun in a couple days.

  • what holster would you recommend for a walther p99 with a weaver rail mounted laser sight?

  • You are a smart person. Thank you for the info.

  • there is a whole new class of fabric holsters that take advantage of the already present friction lock capability of nylon by using a combination of a rubber and plastic core to retain the overall shape of the holster, however, they are mainly drop leg and M.O.L.L.E. (don't ask what it stands for because even some of the avid tactical shooters don't know) tactical holsters and i have not seen a concealed carry versions. they are nice because they offer impact resistance and flexibility.

  • Yeah, that would be great if I were carrying an airsoft gun openly for a silly airsoft game. But if you are carrying REAL guns for REAL defense for REAL life you want REAL holsters.

  • airsoft is hardly silly, it is a great training tool and many LE and MIL orgs use it as such. The rules of real guns apply regardless of what you're carrying =] nice review btw.

  • @PsalmLove

I have been in the military LE community for over a decade and have yet to see any airsoft guns used for training.

  • @limalife dont call airsoft silly please

  • @h4xor27 Why? It is.

  • @PGTRegard no it isnt thats like calling soccer silly (witch it is)

  • airsoft isint silly, its just for children and 35 yr old virgins.....what can you say about something that has 'soft" in it...sorry but there is nothing fun about getting shot point blank and barely even feeling it, and playing against 30% cheaters. i prefer to have physical and audible evidence of beign shot, such as blood or bruises the size of grapefruits, and people cursing in pain and limping off the field.

  • @ninja6kid Really, just for the record, no one is impressed how you play for the pain, it doesn't make you a hardass.

  • MOdular Lightweight Load bearing Equipment.

  • MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment.

  • I think it is Modular Lightweight Load bearing Equipment.

  • @TACairsoft

molle stands for: Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment

  • @TACairsoft M.O.L.L.E. stands for MOdular Lightweight Loadbearing Equipment but knowing the proper nomenclature isn't very useful unless you know how to use it. Yes you would be surprised how many people don't know how to properly thread their MOLLE equipment.

  • @TACairsoft - MOLLE = MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment.

  • I just wanted to say hi and to thank you for helping me choose a rig for my conceal hand gun I think ur videos are great and have a marry Xmas

  • hello my mtac was wearing and marking my glock's slide on the kydex side but not on the leather side so i sold it and im in the market for a new all leather iwb???

  • I love your videos, thanks so much for all the info. I'm a small woman who just got my concealed carry permit, and I'm still having a little trouble figuring out how to conceal my Ruger LCR revolver. What do you do in hot weather? I don't know how I would conceal my firearm while wearing just a tanktop and shorts. Love your videos, thanks again

  • Wow so cute and so smart.

  • this a vary good vid concidering there is little out there on holsters...educate and liberate

  • yes i would keep in mind bout the retention thing for open carry. Here in Kyrgyzstan we open carry guns. I guess i should still have a retention holster then.

  • Madam you are the first woman I have seen who plays around with guns and still being kind and calm.

  • Well thought out!

  • What gun is that?

Looks kind of like a Kimber CDP 2.

  • A beautiful girl with a passion for guns. I thought that was only possible in my dreams.

  • @flasher555 agreed.. attractive AND knowledgeable about firearms - a very good combination and a terrific representative of firearms enthusiasts!

  • @flasher555 "beautiful" ?

  • Lima, as a Comp-Tac employee. Thank you. And Davis1911, there is nothing wrong with your Taurus, that pt1911 is one of the few taurus' i would buy. The duo-tone would not have been my choice but thats a personal thing.

  • No.

  • u would like the blackhawk serpa level 2 its just a button on the trigger guard

  • Tried it.. don't like it.

  • @theycallmepher

i tried it like it but it's bulky so it's hard to conceal

  • You must carry concealed in NY no open carry.Very few No Restriction permits are issued and thats in the rural parts of NY.All the counties surrounding NYC restrict the pistol license holder to a premise or a sportsman.Only Law Enforcement can carry anywhere in the U.S. due to the HR218.

  • NY state doesn't recognize any states pistol permit. Most NY licenses are sportsman to and from range only.

  • Great job! I haven't tried UBG yet, but will check them out.

  • He makes great stuff. I have a holster and double mag pouch from him.

  • 5 Stars. Great video

  • man this chick is funny

  • Great video...

  • taurus is junk never had any luck with em.

  • I agree, I think Taurus weapons are trash.. Buying a Taurus is like using generic drugs.. Do they have their own designs?? But I also have to say Kimber is expensive but is trash as well. I have one Taurus now a titanium 45lc, that thing is a raddle trap.

  • thay are good for the money ... but still crap

  • That 1911 Defender must be limalife's main piece. She handles it like most woman handle a hairbrush..... I love it.

LimaLife DO A RANGE VIDEO. I want to see you fire your 45. Please!!!!

  • I cant comment on the pt1911 but I have a pt145 and pt140 and both are crap. If you want a qulity stay away from Taurus. Do yourself a favore and sell it. I came across this video while surfing around and I must say a MILF who is into guns is HOT!!

  • Taurus pistols are pretty good but you can get a bad one from time to time. I have several Taurus pistols (PT1911, PT99, PT140, PT111, PT138, PT24/7 and a model 608). Most of them shoot well but I have a small problem with the PT111 and the PT138. I am sending back to Taurus for repairs. Taurus has a great repair policy and returns pistols quickly after repairs.

  • what do you think of the taurus pt1911 duotone pistol or taurus pistol altogether

  • my first time on youtube i had one question can you give me feedback on the taurus pt1911 duo-tone i just purchased one havent shot it yet but now i hear mixed comments just wondering what you think about taurus pistol

  • I always open carry my pistol so I use the serpa retention holster because its virtually impossible for someone to disarm me without my knowledge.

  • what gun do you carry that is the most comfortable for you?

  • You're in Virginia so your gun falling out at the mall is probably common. I'm in NY if your gun falls out at the before it hits the floor you'll have 10 cops on you.

  • limalife, are you or your husband in the law enforcement field ??

  • How about doing a video on silencers?

I would really like to see one on that topic!!

  • they are called suppressors

  • This is a very good and informative video. I will add this though: The nylon desantis holster you were showing works off belt friction. The holster is designed to go inside the wait of your pants, and the retention is created by tightening your belt. You can get decent retention from those. But they are cheap holsters like you said, and for a few bucks more, you can get something a lot better. The falling thing is true, because I dropped my portable chasing after a suspect. Good stuff Limalife.

  • Hey limalife, I know this question is off topic, but I was wondering if you fire +P ammo out of your Kimber CDP? I have heard that the Kimber CDP models (aluminum frames) have issues with shooting this type of ammo. Thanks.

  • Comp-tac minotaur seems to be the best for me!

  • Blackhawk and Galco make amazing holsters

  • now i know ur not an airsoft expert, but i have a s&w 1911 airsoft gun, and needed a holster. do u think i could use one of these holsters for an airsoft gun?

  • As long as it is identical or near, it should work, I shoot a Sig p220, but I practice with a p226 airsoft gun, and they are the same size and they work in the same holsters and that is one of the main reasons I bought them.

  • Ran out of space, wanted to add one more thing.

First off, the holster I talked about has a buttoned retention strap, and I always button it when the gun is holstered.

Second, I do agree with you regarding the clothing issue (strap might be hard to unlock etc). Anyway, the holster I talked about was not very expensive. It does have a magazine holder though, which is nice. Anyway, great videos. I have watched the majority of them.

  • All I can say is that, "firstly, it's refreshing to see such a lovely lady as your good self, talk about holsters. Personally, I prefer, and open top holster and magazine pouch by Kramer hand gun leather for my Colt M1911. Your an attractive lady

  • I have a few Shado leather holsters that are imported from Ray's Holsters that I love. They make high quality holsters at a very reasonable price. Im a big fan of theirs.

  • Hi,

Great video. I'm looking for a quality conceil/carry 1911. One with a SS slide and frame along with a SS 3" barrel. My intention is to carry it on my right side holstered to my belt canted forward in the small of my back. The gun caliber can be either 9mm or 45ACP.

    What would you recommend?

    Thanks,

    Steve

  • Hey

I saw nobody else had commented and I was checking out the vid and though Id give my two cents. IMO, a 1911 is not a good ccw. Even one w/ a 3in bbl. And if you are deadset on getting a 1911, I wouldnt go w/ a 3in bbl in .45auto. Many of them tend to have feeding issues because of bbl shortness. I would recommend getting a small slimline pistol, or even a nice small revolver. Revolvers are very easy to conceal and undeniably reliable.

  • As for carry position... when you say canted forward in the small of your back, I assume you mean muzzle forward. A butt forward cant in the small of your back would be nearly impossible to grab quickly. I would recommend getting a horizontal holster if you want to carry it in the small of your back. It would be much faster and easier to draw it that way.

I personally prefer the IWB holsters on the hip, or a belt holster set up for cross draw. Those are the easiest methods for me personally.

  • For a SS 3" 1911 in 9mm or .45 you are looking mainly at Kimber. The SIS comes in that configuration.

Springfield Armory makes a Loaded Ultra Compact Stainless Steel but that has a 3.5" bbl. It's a good alternative to Kimber if you don't mind the extra .5" of bbl length.

Also, for the holster you are talking about you small of the back is usually ill advised... can't just behind the hip is recommended.

  • great to know you carry all the times considering we are under a hostile invasion from mexico, you are beautiful and my kind of woman. be safe and God bless!!!

  • i live in arizona and carry everyday openly on my hip. arizona is an open carry state. you only need a permit for concealed carry. the stigma is only that you need a holster for your gun and if you are open carrying the gun must be holstered. arizona is known as a gold star state in terms of gun laws and ownership and carry laws.

  • What gun do you carry?

  • I carry a Ruger P345 everyday. I carry it with federal hydrashocks, with a round chambered. Self Preservation is my favorite term, you could say. I am in the market for a Kimber Custom TLE 2 or a Springfield TRP/ Operator.

  • sure i just want to ask gosh u have angermanagement and iget what u mean

  • I could listen to you talk all day. You should start some type of seminar video series; I would buy it.

  • how do u get a licence for carrying a gun in pulbic?

  • Depends on your state.

  • can u tell me where to get the license i live in AZ?

  • i heard arizona was an open carry state, which means you dont need a permit

  • no i heard that every state needs a permit but i don't know about now can u reaserch it for me please

  • Dude you're a fucking retard...do the research yourself. If you want the responsibility of carrying a gun in public, YOU need to find out what is required

  • amen to that

  • This is one hot girl with an expensive taste in handguns! Kimber Ultra Carry II from the looks of it. I like ur style! lol

  • Firearms rule

and i agre you are a attractive woman

  • My god, do I love your reviews. Please forgive me for saying so, you are adorable. extremely attractive woman.

  • Hey Limalife, what exactly does "out of battery" mean? I'm fairly new to guns and always wondered..

  • Found this at wikipedia

The term "out-of-battery" refers to the discharge of a weapon before the action has returned to the normal firing position.

I guess this will happen when you pull the trigger faster than the action reloads.

    Correct me if I wrong.

  • Hey what do you think of the Galco Miami classic shoulder holster?

  • What would you recommend for a glock 23? Preferably IWB. Thank you :)

  • I have a Blackhawk CQC Serpa for my Glock 23 and it's an AWESOME holster but does suck for concealing purposes (unless you're wearing a pretty baggy shirt over the top of it). I would recommend the Safariland 528 Open Top Pacake Holster for the Glock 23. It's not IWB but when wearing at the small of your back it hugs tightly, comfortably, and almost completely dissapears with only a t-shirt.

  • For my Glock 23, I use the Blackhawk Serpa CQC. Can take the belt attachment off and use the paddle it comes w/ as well. Love it.

  • Thank you so much for the links..yeah i just found the Blade tech websight..crazy there in the same state..few hours away but i just placed an order to blade tech..got a great holster i hope. But thank you so much for the reply. Learned a great deal from your videos..i check constantly for new ones. :) again thank you!!

  • What do you think about the XD holsters? The ones that come with the xd, ofcourse.

  • They are good enough to use while you wait to get a real holster.

They are basically Fobus paddle holsters which are known as good, cheap holsters for range wear etc. but aren't very good at concealing.

  • Hi limalife, I'm kinda new to the whole having a sidearm. I don't really know much about guns other than learning from the 14 vids you have. But might you know a good web sight for purchasing a kydex holster? Ive looked everywhere and cant seem to locate. I wanted good retention but without a retention strap. I want to carry inside the waist band at my 4 o'clock. I'm from Wa state so I sure going to your store is out of the question. lol any info would be great!! Oh Congrats on your baby!! thanx

  • Check out:

    Comp-Tac

    SideArmor

    Blade-Tech

    My money is on Comp-Tac.

  • Good choice. I have the MTAC for my M&P 40. Works better with the more use it sees. The shape and wear patterns become one with the firearm.

  • Very good video series limalife..Thanks! I like the UBG inside the waistband holster you demonstrated. Is it the Striker-I?

  • in one of your first videos you said three to five shots would be good. but now that you are a mom you really want to defend your self good.

if the person is out to hurt you kill you you'll want him dead one shot to the heart, throat, or head would be wonderful

  • I'm not against having as much ammo as possible. However, even as a mom, I don't feel under-guned with 7+1 and a spare magazine. Or even 5 in a revolver. I don't put my faith in my tools to survive (or to protect my child). I put my faith in my will to survive and protect.

    P.S.

If ANYONE tries to hurt my child they better pray I don't have as much as a toothpick on me because tools or no, the wrath of a mother bear is coming down on them.

  • Can we nickname you "Mrs .45"?

    LOL

  • Nylon for tactical situations & leather for ccw

  • you got any military issue holsters that go around ur leg and are attached to ur belt?

they also have 2 mag pouches on the side

  • here in the Philippines we civilians with a permit to carry gun are not allowed to holster our gun. we have to put it in a belt bag or some kind of bag. is there a gun belt bag in the market available?

  • There are a few. Most look like fanny packs. (Brits, be quiet.) Do a search for "fanny pack holster", you'll find them.

  • Brits don't have guns!

  • But they have fannies. :) (Well, some of them do, by their definition.)

  • by then just bring out a balisong or a kris sword its easier

  • I learned a LOT from this video. Your videos are GREAT!!!! Very helpful and informative!!! Nicely done!!!!

  • This was great! I didn't know allot of this stuff, and now I do. :) Thanks.

  • On leather holsters, having a thumbreak is important for this reason, from experience, your more likely to fist fight, then gun fight. If your rolling around, you MUST have a retention snap.

So, you have to unsnap when drawing.. That's why you practice. Also, you can unsnap when needed, if you see a possible threat before it happens.

  • Been there, done that and in a good quality holster I've never lost my firearm. Even when a 230 lbs man tackled me and we were wrestling. Still didn't come out.

I've even had people deliberately trying to take my firearm and not been able to remove it from the holster.

I'm not saying retention holsters don't have their place but I've never seen their necessity for civilian concealed carry.

  • When I go the store at night to get milk I just stick it in my back inside my pants, under a long jacket.
