I think you all are a HUGE inspiration to all of us out here, (as if you all live inside of these little boxes we call computers), but honestly I would like to see more male homosexuals and transgendered out there providing support. I think that would help, I mean we love the lesbians but I almost feel like we have more than enough support, I just wish there was more out there for others too, role models per say. I was the kid that got picked on in school. I was the heavy girl which made me the butt of a lot of peoples jokes. I began watching the BB videos and started coming out to friends and family and I no longer feel inferrior to ANYONE. Stomp out bullying.

This makes me think of a video Michelle made awhile about when she said it doesn't get better, it gets great! The beaver bunch has helped so many people that its amazing. And im hoping that all the talk & the attention being brought to school bullying & the changes being made because of people like you for bringing light to all of this and showing and talking about the positive in being gay and being true to who you are, will bring about a change so that my son, only 2, will not have to endure the same crap and feel the same pain that I did or you did. RIP to Jamey so sad to loose another beautiful soul.
You are so right about belonging. It took me a long time to figure out where I belong, but I finally figured it out at 23. I was lucky by fluke, one of my mom's cousins is gay. Not even a year after coming out I got to meet him, and ever since he's been a HUGE part of my support system. I've been watching since a year before coming out, and now I've been out for nearly two years. Sticking through the tough parts made me so much stronger.
This week is going to be a bit tough for me. My friend killed himself on Friday and I will be hearing about a similar event this week. With the exception of three, all his friends are barred from attending his funeral.
@edgehaedjr I'm so sorry for your loss. I think that maybe I was too stupid, or spacey, at school (see my comment above) to know why my life was being made so miserable, but a few more tears watching & listening to Lori is worth it to know that I didn't give in to it. Sadly too many people I have cared about haven't been as lucky. Ray in Scotland.
