Gotta question dude.. My friend was pushin my sub box into my trunk and caught some speaker wires going to one of my 6x9's. Theyre 4 terminal 6x9's with an external TMA amp, and (if youre looking at it from the face of the magnet) it kinda vertically snapped the 2 pairs of terminals from each other, now theres a constant static/feedback noise every time my stereo is on. Dont know if that caused a short inside the amp or what.. It still plays music fine, but with static in the background. HELP!!

@hosssone hey man, same thing happened to me before, theres a couple things that might have happened. one, the speaker could be fucked lol causing the noise, or two, check ur fuses, mine were kinda half blown and was fuckin up the power and the sound, may not be the same situation as urs but check that stuff may help

lol i got my 1/0 grounded to a little hook in the back of my durango. just heard the noise today at a stop light, constant hertz sound till i got the engine above idle. guess ill have to find a better ground lol

Voice coils wired in parallel, speakers wired in parallel

make sure your amp is stable at 1 ohm mono. Look this up if you don't know how to wire (Parallel/Parallel)

@LILCHEDDA I would get 2 Fi Btl 15 or 18. better quality and possibly louder for the price. get a sundown 2500.1 and 0/1 gauge wires. you wont top $3000 dollars. You will be way happier with the Fi subs.

i have the same problem with the humming/ heart beat. it was a heart beat i had it grounded under my seat i sanded the paint and every thing then i moved it to the trunk of my jetta and now its a quiet hum but it still pisses me off it is sanded bare metal in the trunk too any help?

@printzcory I don't know if you are still having this problem but I had the same problem. What was causing it was that my RCA's & my power wire were running side by side. I ran my RCA's on the other side of the car and it quit.

you can get name brand for pritty good pricing kicker comp 12"'s are about 120 a piece rockford fosgate p1 12" are about 90 and pioneer champian series are about 75 as for amps a 1000 watt keenwood or phonics digital are about 100 dollor range all new so 300 you can get an amp sub and box alot of times you can get great deals for 2 12's amp and box id check cregs list

Another thing you can try and do is run a wire from your rca terminals to a good ground and see if it clears the noise if the noise goes away you have 2 options 1.Buy better RCA's 2. Make the wire you grounded to the rca's permanent im sure their is more options but thats just my opinion

big 3 another battery or better battery will never hurt a kinetik hc800 would probably be ok for the t1000... t1000-1 or -4???match the fuse in your power cable to the fuse rating on the amp BUT DONT EXCEED IT... ex. the t1000-4 has a 200a fuse rating, use a fuse no bigger than 200a in your line, distortion try to keep the gains down.. gains will add distortion when turned up higher than the voltage your cd player puts out.(amping a bad signal) check pre out voltage vs. input sensitivity on amp

depends on the RMS of your subs, don't go by peak power. Audioque is probably the best bang for the buck and you get a quality product but they start at a true 1200wrms amp. People will probably tell you to go hifonics. While hifonics are very affordable on the cheaper lines you do not get rated power you get a little less than listed. The higher end hifonics are actually quite good but not the lower end IMO that most people buy.

More expensive is DD,sundown,memphis,RF etc.

Well I was meaning that his not going to like the price for just alt, let alone alt with batteries. Because yeah, i know good batts are like 200 a peace but thats what sucks about doing mods to cars. Most of the time you have to do a lot for your car to take the one thing. Its like a performance part on an engine. You need lots of other performance parts just for that one to work. The heads for my truck, to get them to work right, headers, push rods, roller rocks, it just kept going.

Great Question!

As long as the amps are indentical, you can have them safely "Strapped" or "Daisychained", without worrying about phasing or cancellation from large margains of power on either side.

Steve, Bob. and other "heavy hitters" have all matching power sourses - unfortunely in this case, the kid had 2 UNMATCHING amps - So the only safe solution calls for two separate boxes.

For the air bags i would say batteries. I say that because he does need an alt but even a 220 amp alt on average still wont put out 75 amps till 2000 or so rpm. If hes on the the road its ok. All the alts i look at on there power curve charts wont do 220 till 5500 rpm. Now not everone can do the meade thing with 4 alts but having more then one is always the best. But im just rambling now because I know theres to many cars out there thats cant have more then one because theres no room.
