  • kool, thanx

  • HAIR METAL, MODELS OF CLASSIC AMERICAN MUSCLE.......I'M IN HEAVEN

  • the old school EVER!!!!

    i love your colection cars

  • the old school EVER!!!!

  • Love the Queen soundtrack.....

  • why did you paint it red then yellow??

  • @carbonfootprintmyass Ah, red's the primer coat :)

  • I have a 1/24 scale GTO kit.....now i need a 1/24 scale Dodge Charger kit...but i can only find them in 1/25 scale? is there any kits the have by Revell that are 1/24?

  • @Dilsterboy There are a few that are 1/24 - I have a yet to be built Revell 1970 Plymouth Barracuda (purposely chosen to complement a Dodge Challenger I built several years back) , however to be honest the difference in scale is so small that I display the 1/24 and 1/25 cars together...

  • @joh2 yes but im doing a diromama of all model of 1/24..wicth means im getting 1/24 scale garage and people figures too..i got the people and the garage...just need more model cars and some garage equipment

  • I have the same kit. Is yours the Johnny Lightning kit with the small scale die-cast Daytona?

  • @jnichols3 Yep! I liked the 1/64 model's detailing, right down to its engine bay.

  • @joh2 I did not know that the hood opened. I bought a couple of kits at a Kay-Bee Toys that was going out of business about 5 years ago. I gave one to my nephew as a birthday present along with about a dozen aircraft kits that I had acumulated. I kept one kit and it is stilled sealed in plastic.

  • Great car! I hope to build a Revell Daytona charger off of Ebay

  • I had the same kit and painted it flat black and found some flat black american racing wheels, not the ones that came with the kit

  • i like what you did to it, but this model kits sucks

  • sweet shit

  • looks nice check out some of my stuff jhouse765

  • I just stole a "real" 1969 MPC K&K Insurance #71 Bobby Isaac on e-bay for 7.50$ The last one i has was in 1985, i sold it for peanuts, it was yellow #78 like the Late racer Talmadge Prince.

  • That was a 4spd car should of had a dana rearend not a 8 3/4 shame on revell

  • Jos Dirt ,is a awesome movie for using this car or the HEMI roadrunner :)

  • dude take off tat hood scoop it looks stupid

  • I was lucky enough to drive a real 69 daytona. My dad had a red/white 440.After he was killed it was sold andI think about it now how stupid we was. But I still have it in my mind and spirit.

  • What is difference between This Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird?

  • They look similar, but their bodyshells are different... Ones a '69, the other '70

  • @joh2 but also the Superbird was a much more powerfull car then the Charger Daytona. They looked alike but the Superbird had a bigger block engine and more HP

  • @Dilsterboy wow thats an interesting statement you make there boy.. Filled with inaccurate statements but interesting to say the least. The Superbird and the Daytona Charger are sisters, just how the Challenger and the Cuda were. They both came with the same options just one was made by Plymouth(Superbird) and the other was produced by Dodge(Daytona Charger) They were both were offered with the same engines and equally powered. Thanks for playing and try again

  • @1969chargerRT440 damn :/

  • @1969chargerRT440 yeah, the daytona was offered without the front clip and wing, know as the charger 500. but all a daytona was was a charger with a fastback window front clip and wing, a superbird was a roadrunner with the same options. it scares me that some people dont understand

  • Well the Charger Daytona is a '69 Charger with a flushed mounted rear window, wing and nose kit.

The Superbird is a '70 Roadrunner with a wing and nose kit.

They are easy to differentiate when you look at them from the back

  • the Plymouth superbird is a 1970 road runner with a fin and extended front clip the daytona is a 1969 dodge charger with fin and extended front clip they only made the two years with this design. in order for it to be a race car they had to make it a production model so they only made around 500 of each after 1971 the design was scraped because of its success in winning races the rules were changed so all cars in the race must look similar in design

  • @morderca95 aerodynamic

  • @morderca95 One is a modified 1969 dodge charger, The other is a modified 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner

  • @morderca95 The Daytona is based off the charger and the superbird is based off the roadrunner or gtx

  • I love model cars too, what aride... but I sucks with plastic I got bad hability for this... but I like more than metallics 5*

  • The band is Queen. Roger Taylor singing

  • Great BUT who is the band ? Thanks for reply, ;-)

  • great job i bought the general lee kit but the body mold was from a daytona so i decided not to do that one i have it together mostly but... nope

  • Thankyou - the General Lee at the end of this is also the 'infamous' AMT kit that used the Charger 500/Daytona bodyshell instead of the regular Charger (recessed rear window) body - I think the Revell '69 Charger is a better starting point...

  • I have the 'infamous' General Lee kit and the Revell '69 charger kit and I think people should use the decals on the General Lee kit on the Revell '69 it would look alot better

  • You got skills chicks dig guys with skills.

  • but its pontiac

  • Its all mopar in this video!

  • it looks nice except the hood, but still amazing work, i wouldn't mid sending you my duster model im working on for you to build it haha, nice work

  • Ah yes, that hood isn't the easiest fit (the AMT kit itself was not a good design) lol! Ah yes, I've built a Duster!

  • who is singing ?

  • QUEEN...

  • I've heard the Revell '69 Charger is a better kit to work from - the AMT one has many compremises!!

  • Not a bad looking daytona, General Lee version isn't half bad. check out my model works. I've added a few.

General Lee being one of my works.

  • Thankyou! You've done several good ones of the Lee yourself...

Looking closely at my General Lee however, and you'll notice that its the derided AMT version (Its boxart looked good, having the original Good Old Boys and screenshots from the original TV series though!), complete with the flush rear window! - the Daytona was a version of the same kit...

  • Thanks, glad you checked my vids out. Yes I have the box art saved when I cut it from the box. Back when the rebel flag was present on the roof on the one photo as well as the art work drawn on the box. that was my first General Lee build too. Since then as you have seen, My cars are more close to the 1:1 now.

  • ok i have done model cars for like 8 years but i am only 15 and i understand i am young and everything but that hood fuck that car up man it was nice but the scoop was a litle big

  • car is nice, bonnet(hood) is shit

  • that is a beautiful dodge!

  • Thankyou! there's more musclecars, including Mopars in the pipeline too...

  • cool, whats a Mopar?

  • Mopar - a broad name given to anything made by Chrysler...

  • Oh, thats new to me ;)

  • For more detail get the 1969 charger made by revell to build the general lee kit.they look great and clean.

  • I'm thinking that'd be a better approach - the AMT kit's design had MANY flaws within it!

  • Man, I fucked up my Revell 69' Charger General Lee project.. I left the glue inside the box.. Of corse it just had to spring a leak and get all over the hood, thus melting part of the hood. And then when I was putting in the glass I seriously messed up and got the orange paint all over the plastic glass.. Also, it has a broken rear right leaf spring. It was my first model so yeah.. Oh yeah, the piece that holds the driveshaft to the tranny/diff is broken off. And I thought I could save it today.

  • Sorry to hear bout your General Lee problem. check out my general lee under 1:25th General Lee on the tube here, let me know what you guys all think.

  • Another solid build mate and great vid, love the general lee to....

  • Thanks mate - there's more on the way too...

  • lol, the general could smoke a daytona any day!

  • Maybe the General Lee. HA HA.

  • Mores videos ..message me when you get more love them .. i got more videos ..thanks fr Ben J

  • cool

  • what do you do to the plastic to prep it for paint

  • Use spray-on primer

  • Thanx looks good

  • nice job

  • Your attention to detail increases with each new video, Joh2.

I always seem to get glue all over my windshields.

  • Hey thanks :) As for the windows, I recommend white PVA wood glue - while it takes a bit to set, if you accidentally get it on windows, you can wash it off with water immediately...

  • i so agreee with salporte, i can never get so good details even if i use like 1 hair brush! plz make a tutorial with moer details! really cool!

  • YES, you have given me an idea :)

  • *slaporte
