1.) Projectile fights are never fun. There is more to Guile than just Sonic Booms. (Shame on you "High level players")

2.) Damn, I hate how Guile's Ultra I ends in upper-forward direction. If you miss the timing, you end up jumping over your opponent with a high kick. The Super is understandable because it's there so you can sonic boom - Super Cancel out but damn, that's the price you pay for picking such a bad-ass player =D

@Turkagga Yes, but you can find several other videos uploaded BEFORE that one with much better and faster gameplay. Try looking for some japanese tournaments dated from September 2008 for example and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but Chun-li & Guile up there could have done much better for 5 boring rounds. ;)

@AstralCatastrophe high level battles aren't much about power and combos. just zoning your opponent and keeping pressure up and punishing whenenever someone makes a mistake. if you rush in a fight, you can easily make a mistake and allowing your opponent to punish you

High-level? Doubtful. A mediocre Chun Li player would never be outpoked or worse outmatched by even a top Guile player. Guile's probably the next joke character in this game after Dan. Slow, no super/ultra links and only two special moves that need to be charged for execution. Pathetic. As a Chun Li mainer, I'd say this match's result is just unacceptable at all. Guile is one of the most predictable characters there are especially against Chun.He either sits and crouches like a duck throwing SBs from the corner or hoping his opponent will jump so he can use his FK.He may also throw a slow SB and follow after it or jump.Close range,SB.If it's blocked,he follows up with his double sweep kick or overhead punch if his opponent blocks low.A Chun in close range or a Chun w/out charge is still more dangerous than a Guile at close range and a Guile w/out charge.

@kingjinga - A Guile with a charge all the time is a bad Guile then.How do you expect him to attack from far away all the time?The half-good Guiles I've faced do not rely on charging all the time but applying pressure after throwing a SB or mashing buttons to confuse their opponent.Sadly,these tricks are already highly anticipated from any Guile and Chun Li can also do the same even better as she can FA SB,dash forward then Hazanshu.Guile doesn't have a non-charging move unfortunately.

@kingjinga - Of course they do, but the moment the special move is released, the 2-3 second gap of releasing the next special move takes effect and Guile's ground speed isn't exactly near Chun Li's which is why Chun is a much better pressure character than he ever will be. Heck, Guile doesn't even have any means to link his ultra from any move. Chun on the other hand has about 5-6 ways to link her ultra or simply go through a SB.

it does not depend on the controller. it's how rapid u r pressing the kick button. if u keep pressing kick then she won't stop kicking. u only push the button fast enough for the animation to come out then stop. u can also change the pace by switch from hk to lk or vice versa while chun-li is in kicking animation

They're only human, we all make mistakes - Considering the Chun was in the corner it's far more difficult to land it and, as we can all see, she done it just a bit too fast thus went under Guile - It was probably the perfect height if not in the corner but hey, consider nerves / tension and everything that goes with it when playing then tell yourself it's unforgiveable to make a slight error of judgement from time to time.

Actually, Guile seems to have a slightly longer fall time than anyone else. I used him as a test dummy in training mode and for some reason any character where i got Guile falling in the air, (Ryu, Chun-Li, C. Viper) I had to time it differently cause he took so damn long to fall!
