How many bombers were there? Because with the new torpedo bombers, 500 DPS each x 80 bombers = 40,000 dps, more than enough to vaporize a dreadnought (Up to ~850 dps with maxed skills, rage, overloaded launchers, and gank fit!!!)

Not really. You're in siege mode, so you have the hardest tank in eve (especially as a revelation). Also, there's probably a bunch of carriers remote repping you :)

Oekkel is right: however in this case, provided you can last until the end of your siege cycle you can drop out of siege and then recieve the remote rep love.

This is all provided you cannot tank them in siege mode.

we did the maths and calculations were based on alpha strike and a certain amount of bombers. i think we required 80 of them.

however, we could not bring up that number - we knew we would fail, but we wanted the "last stand" / fight to happen for the lolz.

Huge alpha strike and several others stripped the shields and dug into the armor. However once the armor reppers kicked into effect (armor rep's work at the end of a cycle not beginning like shield rep's) they began to overtake the damage.

More than 40 SB's were used. Most were destroyed in a 2 minute period by support interceptors and snipers. Good attempt but they need twice their number for it to work against a dread.
