I've logged 302.18 in the Espirit Sport 350 (fastest street car in game) and 338.66 in the Toyota Minolta 88C-V (fastest car period), both using nitrous. Now in GT3 and GT2 there were some glitches; I've taken the 787B in GT3 past 4000 mph w/o a gameshark. In GT2 the max speed is 655.35 mph, which is attainable by most cars in that game with this one glitch.

If you have your game set to count in MPH. Then WHY does the speedometer not stop at 240mph????? Any REAL fan of Gran Turismo 4 on PS2 will tell you that without cheating or hacking the game itself. The amount of horsepower required increases exponentially as the speed increases. For instance, to go 125MPH in a Bugatti Veyron, it needs 200HP, to go 250MPH (twice as much) you need more than 2x the HP, in fact you need 4x as much or 800hp more, and if you do the math, to go 430MPH, you would need, can someone do the math for me? 2x speed = 4x power. 4x speed = 8?x power? 125mph(200hp) - >250mph(1000hp) -> 430mph(=x hp) solve for x!!!!! @alterbr33d i would do it, but this is sooooo vague, it can't apply. obviously, a toyota minolta has better aerodynamics than a veyron. the tires are different, the weight is (MUCH) different. but, i did it for you anyways. i figured that since the jump from 250mph to 430 mph is not exactly 2x, i found how much it was. 430mph is 1.7x more than 250mph, so then i did a proportion to find out how much power is multiplied with speed. i found that is 2 is to 4, then 1.7 is to x. x=3.4

3400 isn't unrealistic....there are diesel drag race semis that have an estimated3500 hp in real life...they figure it our by how much fuel they are injecting at certain rpms and stuff because no dyno can read that much....so not unrealistic
