  • is it safe to run my stock King in the sand with just paddle tires and no other upgrades?

  • @JackMProductions Ohh yeah mine was all stock when I filmed this video

Only up-grade was the tyres and shorter shocks

Have a look at my newer WK videos there's even one where I drove it in to a small stream

    c".,)

  • @SnoopMaxx so is it safe, or will it kill my motor if sand gets in it?

  • @JackMProductions use a thin stocking over the motor for protection

And the motors runs fine under water

    c",)

  • What rims and tires are you running????

  • Proline Sand Paw tires on Tamiya Stadium Blitzer wheels

    Link in the info

    c",)

  • did the wheels come with the tires and were did you get them

  • The wheels are from Tamiya

And the tires are Pro-Line Sand Paw

    part No. 1052-00

You can get them at Tower Hobbies

    c",)

  • could you send me a link for the wheels and tires

  • could you sned me the item number for the wheels

  • can you lock the differentials without buying the whole crawler conversion set?

  • Yes you can

The Axial lockers also fit in the Wheely King

as do the Axial ring and pinion gears

    c",)

  • I just got the axial diff locker and it works great. What is stronger the axial rp gears or the expensive ones for the wk?

  • I have tried both and they hold up fairly ok

considering the abuse and bashing I put my WK through on a daily basis

Just Look at Xjonny26 I build a stronger tranny for him and He uses hardened WK diff gears

I also have a 1/8th buggy and that diff is STRONG lol

they should have used Hellfire diff's instead of savage cast alloy diffs in the WK

    just my 2c

    c",)

  • yes the lockers are 7.00 bucks at a hobby shop

  • what happends if you lock the diferentials

  • You get better grip on loose sand and dunes

All Axial AX-10 crawlers have locked diff's as standard

    c",)

  • good

  • Motor and gearing was stock at the time of filming

Only changed the shocks, wheels and tires

  • Comment removed

  • can i use minh pack in wheely the king or only just nicd?

  • Yes you can... I use NiMh batt's in my Wheely King and my 3906 E-Maxx

    c",)

  • how many many nimh? can i use 5000 mah?

  • Yes that's just fine

    I use 4000Mah 7,2V NiMh batteries

( mind you they are ca 3 years old )

    c",)

  • Thank's for the video response Jonny

  • hey im thinking about getting a 12t motor for my wheely king but i know there is going to be a big loss of torqe and i was wondering if i want the torqe back if i should get a Reduction Gear Box for it just give me your opinon on it you know more than i do

  • I have a 3500kv BL motor in mine now and with the stock gearing on the WK tranny it has a top speed of 15Mph with SandPaw tires and with Mudslingers the top speed is a little over 20Mph

So with a 12T Titan motor and a XL-5 esc,the Wheely King would not lack torque as the total gearing is around 20:1 and that Titan motor can easily handle a 12.5:1 gearing

    That's a 72t spur/30T pinion and with SandPaw tires it's 23Mph

With the stock tires that's 30Mph

    Is that enough ??

    c",)

  • sorry for the whhels.wheels.

  • Yes The wheels are from Tamiya

    c",)

  • very good video!!!you have change the whhels???

  • i just orderd some sand paws and i half the h2 body will the sand shoot inside of the body and get on my motor and if it will will it ruin it?

  • I think it would get inside the body .. but you can get a micro fibre cover for the motor

    c",)

  • I love the sand paws. But i had to trim my bumper on my rustler so the sand would not just fly into the chasy

  • Yes the rusty body is a little in the way with Sand Paw tires on

    c",)

  • was there any affect with the sand?

  • No it works just fine in sand

    c",)

  • where is the guy on the forum?

  • He is the admin .. Also known as BMT

    c",)

  • thanks 4 all ure help

  • i also need the height and the width 4 the new wheelie rock crawler, not stock

  • The width of the axles only change when you use narrower wheels and tires .. So make the box about 11" wide

Now ...The stock WK is about 10" high and if you have a different body or chassis ... That will also have an influence on the hight

    If you have more questions

    Plz ask again

    Regards SnoopMaxx

  • thanks 4 ure help

  • is the wheel base the space in between the wheels or from the end of each wheel. Also i want 2 convert my wheelie king 4x4 to a rock crawler so i need those dimensions, height length and wheel base, if it's longer than the length, im a total noob cos i want 2 make a box 4 my car

  • The wheele base is the distance from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel (wheele screw to wheele screw)

The total lenght depends on witch tires you use.

You can use a simple rule: WB + Tire hight = total lenght.

So if your wb is 12.5" and you have a 4.25" wheel then the total length is 16.75"

hight is arount 10" on the stock WK

the with of the WK is around 10" as well

    c",)

  • what are the dimensions for the new wheelie king?

  • WB = 295.95mm ~11.65"

"Complete conversion kit for Wheely King

    Extended wheelbase (2.25 inches longer)

Longest wheelbase allowed by US and UK competition rules"
