  • Porque te fuiste tan rápido. lo tuyo duro poco pero fue

    inmenso

  • Loving the life of this live version. R.I.P Janis!

  • JANIS TE AMO¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ SOS UNICA , TE ADORO. HERMOSA VERSION ME AND BOBBY MCGEE . FANTASTICA¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ Y LA GENTE SIEMPRE LA APLAUDIA DE PIE¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡. JANIS LYN JOPLIN EAST.

  • JANIS JOPLIN -JUMALIME LÄBI KÕIKIDE AEGADE.HOIDKU JUMAL SELLISEID AARDEID KIIVALT TEENIMATUTE EEST!

  • She sings it better than Kristofersson!

  • god bless her EVER AND EVER..............

  • She had an expressive & powerful sinning voice and could have been popular in the 30's etc. She was versatile to the point Rock & Blues were well done on both counts. So much more could have been done by her had her life not been cut short & i would bet she'd almost still sound like this today.

  • @714AD Singing voice. Bad keyboard.

  • @714AD Oh yes, she was a great sinner. And she could sing as well!

  • last 5 seconds..scary and a total downer

  • Listen to Pink's version of this song, you'll be surprised

  • @BazzaIOW Surprised by What ?

  • This is so sad - what a great soul, what a geat voice and what a sad, sad woman. She had deserved so much more than an overdose of fucking drugs. I loved her art so much! Why wasent anyone whow could love her, take her in his arms and took god care of her? Thanks Janis, vor everything you have done to the world. In my heart you will live forever! What a tragedy nobody could give you the true love you would have been deserved.

  • @Linus107 She was taking Jimmi's death hard & her engagement was off. She was clean for a long time before she died, the batch she got was uncut, others died too. I appreciate that you get that, that is the most tragic part about her. She took care of so many people. Hell, even left provisions in her will for her own wake! She put everything she had into everything she did. No matter what she had a beautiful heart and it seemed no one she was ever with loved her as she loved them.

  • Wow, I did not know a live version of this existed! I didn't think Janis ever performed it before she died! Has this been officially released? (I knew she performed at Threadgills though)

  • Waylon Jennings does this song better than anyone else, especially his live performance on "Hee Haw"!!

  • Todella upeeta, SUPER kaunista musiikkia. Kari from FINLAND

  • nothing live.

  • Happy 69th Birthday Janis!!!

  • happy birthday janis :)

  • Well, she called that one right. Janis was a special offer subject to revocation. But man, while she was alive she pumped her heart and soul into it. She taught Robert Plant how to sing. She made Stevie Ray Vaughn possible. Love you Janis, even more now than in 1971 when all the girls loved you first.

  • This made me realize that you don't exchange perceptions of one another as a means of demonstrating plain psychological interest; to do that, instead you do stuff like attempt to get as close as possible to the other's mindset. For instance, you listen to the music he/she/it delights on. It'll eventually and unexpectedly manifest.

Or you become a sexless sissy. Nice.

  • @Comcouveflor Nice to see what we come up with as the bottom-line resolves to our frivolous problems. I expect a long time to pass by as I still have much to fall, but everyone around me from the very getgo were already claiming I should pick myself up. For their convenience I guess. But now that we're deeper than that, I can see time be extended to infinity. To the biological machinery, as a thing OF it.

  • @Comcouveflor thank you. you have given me something to spend the rest of my life pondering.

  • entonces janis dijo:si quieres ser una estrella debes dormir sola. pues si fuera asi porque no estoy en el estrellato¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Have another bottle of Southern Comfort Janice.

  • @rbweegie it's Janis and life was stressful then as now. I wouldn't say take another shot of heroin and a nice warm bath about Jimi Hendrix, but now look at what you made me do. That's a joke, just in case you weren't sure. Just love the music.

  • Jerry Lee Lewis did the best!!

  • Kris Kristoffersson en ganska så nära släkting till poeten Dan Andersson <3

  • the best woman singer of the world, forever

  • This a wonderful video and i will treasure it forever. RIP JJ!!! You were the most wonderful lady singer that I heard when i was growing up back in the sixties and like many of my other favourites you passed away too young!!! Will love you always - the Queen of the Song!!!!

  • What a voice, what a feeling.. this was Janis, never reachable.

  • Magic Musical History.

  • ill be getting ur autograph in heaven when i see u. <3

  • amazing woman!!!!!

  • LOVE YOU FOR EVER.

  • Love you!!! Janis :)

  • what a kill joy the last 5 sec is

  • buenisima version de bobby mcgee. como puedo conseguirla.

  • Вот именно такое исполнение - релаксирующий психоделик , я всегда слушаю когда на душе не спокойно, пробирает насквозь

relaxing psychedelic, I always listen when I have pain in my soul

  • What I hear is instrumentation that is under recorded, a bit thin which shows Janis voice and how good a singer she was and how much soul she could drive out of herself. Great video

  • rip janis forever young

  • WOW !!!! Powerful .....Bravo Bravisimo Janis !!! RIP.

  • janis por que,porque se foi..........OBRIGADO

  • Thanks for sharing the audio of this video. This is the first live recording of Janis singing this song I have ever heard. You did the world a favor by sharing this.

  • I agree with AmyNY poor Job wit vid

  • Janis é Janis o resto é merda.

  • Amazing how many morons have commented on the video not matching the audio. The person who uploaded the video clearly states: VIDEO: "Tell Mama", AUDIO: "Me and Bobby McGee" . Can't understand why people are surprised the two don't match. Idiots.

  • @JJayFin Lick it

  • @JJayFin - sad sign of today !!! They are the norm not the exception.

  • I have to listen to this video tape with my eyes shut as the images don't match the words.

  • I think this is a video, with sound from another situation.

I have work with the video in black and white at Danish TV in 1969 or 1970.

Janis Joplin had then just died.

Extremly nice melody; specialy with Janis!

  • To all constructive thought ! It is your perogitive to agree or disagree it is not the worst editing and am glad that 0265 even posted it ...this is an open board dont shoot the messenger ...I was there busted flat in Baton Rouge I adore Janis ...

  • love hoppin hrate...

  • rip babe 27 club.

  • this girl was one hot mess, but i like this song, the rest of her stuff, not so much.

  • no janis can take any song and make us remember it and want more sorry thats that

  • Waylon Jennings does this song best!

  • Why is the video that of Janis's performance of "Cry Baby" in Toronto in 1970?

  • I hope no one gets mad at me, was just playin. Awesome.

  • hey, be nice to one another or I will kill you! kidding. Thanks 0625Luis.

  • Hey, if you're mean....You are too- probably asswipe!

  • Vevo fuck off

  • Janis a waste only for a shot to much nr. 4... Had seen many friends went the same way

  • She was ugly

  • She sounds so LOADED!! Too bad she wasted it all for a shot of horse.

  • RIP Janis

  • THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS! I never heard this one live. What a treasure! Wow, by the comments I guess most folks don't know JANIS DIED SHORTLY AFTER RECORDING THIS. She didn't even get to finish the Pearl album (the last album she ever made) which this song appears on. I dont think ANY VIDEO EXISTS of her singing this. I'm surprised that this live version exists. NICE JOB!! Some of us really appreciate this rare treat!

  • @mommyofdakota AMEN!

  • Shes not singing Bobby Mcgee here. Cant someone find an authentic clip of he r doing it?

  • THE ONE.

  • The VOICE, THE SONG.. THE RAW..GIVING HERSELF TO the audience.. is what.. I Love.. about this.. video. It doesn't matter to me.. that. it shows. her singing another of her songs. JANIS.. IS STILL.. PEARL to me. Love You JJ!!!

  • estupenda ,pero muy dañaita se la fumaba toda , pero una voz increible....

  • she was a little slooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww here drunk I bet.

  • "Freedom's just another word for NOTHING LEFT to lose." A long long time ago...this was the first/only song I used to sing along with, loudly, whenever it came on.Didn't know why at time.Didn't know what those words truly meant till I had Truly lived them. (Then TRULY lived them-but trust me, that 2nd Truly sucked very hard.) (PS Reference film Fight Club for similar ideas.) If everything ever goes to shit for you-HANG ON.It might take a coupla years, but you might feel REAL freedom. Love, me :)

  • Too bad the video and audio are not in sync!

  • Very nice ! Thank You !

  • Awesome! I will excuse the poor audio quality. It's a shame she never sang it live aside from this. RIP!

  • THANK YOU! I am a huge Janis fan, and I have never heard this live at Threadgills version! So rare, and recorded in the last months of her life. It's sad that people don't apprecite the rare gem you have posted. JANIS NEVER GOT TO DO THIS SONG LIVE ON VIDEO BECAUSE SHE DIED NOT TOO LONG AFTER SHE RECORDED IT. The album PEARL where it came from wasn't released until after her death. Bobby was her ONLY number one hit, and she never lived to see it. Rest easy,Janis~love my Pearl!

  • the greatest female singer EVER

  • ~~> Freedoms just another word for, nothing left ta lose.... Lyrics like these don't exist anymore... Thank you Mr. Christopherson...

  • Less than 3 months later, the Narrator DIED.

  • at about 4:15 clicked on thumbs up!!

  • song is unique. pictures might be from another place

  • Rest in Peace.............nur genial..(Ohne Worte geil)......aber leider schon arg gezeichnet die Maus......Scheiß Drogen!!!!!!!27 ist einfach zu Jung!!!!!!

  • @Syco181164 ya are right big man

  • BIG.

  • I love you Janis but whom ever dubed this did an unforgivable job at certain points watch the musics playing , but her lips dont move ...and she is not even singing Bobby Mcgee ... Amy ny 1963

  • @AmyNY1 i did this 3 years ago... at least now you all can hear it live

  • @0625Luis

    thank you

  • @0625Luis thanks, luis, for this wonderful version. seriously!

  • @AmyNY1 I love you AmyNY1, but it's not about the sync, it's about the music. Just close your eyes and listen.

  • @AmyNY1 It looks like she is singing Cry, Baby Cry and it was dubbed over.

  • @AmyNY1 she's singin Cry Baby (live in toronto 1970)

  • @AmyNY1 this was a rare live recording at some time. The video was made of some of her live performances. Her lips are not SUPPOSED to move along with the song because other live footage was used...which is nice. There is NO footage of this particular live version. ....why cant people understand these simple things? I really dig this 0625. Thank you. ...........thats all that Bobby left ..um....a lot of us hahha PEACE & love & blessings x

  • 2 no roses 4 me , Yes I do understand the cutting and editing of this video it is quite clear she is not singing to this particular song , I just stated that it was not her singing and performing the same song . To imply you dont know why people are simple, is not nice . I wanted to point it out because there is very few live footage of Janis , and songs were only recorded STUDIO , I do however think the song was put together well . And was delighted to get a picture of what it once was

  • @AmyNY1 well i certainly was NOT tryin to be mean. I was just stating facts. I did not intend to be unkind at all. Just being honest! Im glad you dig this regardless of the image content. Just remember how beautiful she was and how much she gave ALL of us. And she is still giving to us ya know? MUCH love3 & peace to YOU. Respect and hugs. Im delighted to see or hear ANY rare stuff of her's. Anything. She is that special. xx Take care

  • @AmyNY1 Where did you find this audio? Thank you so much! She finished the vocals for this song for the album PEARL the night before she died. The only other "live version" is during the credits for the DVD, THE FESTIVAL EXPRESS. I love your generosity.

  • Good song, good video, but not a good mix of song and video at all.

  • yep, I'm movin to Mars.

  • this flim was from when she was thin

  • this music is time and time again just a magic perception of rock and soul intertwined together geordiej

  • good recording but her mouth doesnt match the words

  • ALL OF U KNOCKIN JANIS DOWN- GET A CLUE1 the greatest female rockstar, so intelligent she lived iin 2 universes-janis&pearl... had there been an escape route from her tragic, lonely death- her survival would have been the true tragedy...this song was done @ a party @ kEN THREADGOODS 'juke-joint" to my knowledge, there may be 1 or2 visuals os her doing her only#1 hit...(or so the#'s sed..).GO read :BURIED ALIVE or LOVE, JANIS b4 try 2 jam up her RAW BLOOD &BONE PERFORMANCES-shitheads!!!

  • fuk na

  • She never did this song live. The title is deceiving.

  • Janis war die Beste

  • Boozed up to the brim but with a voice that could melt all the ice of Antarctica - wow, what a lady. Pity that she couldn't get her addiction under control.

  • @HappyDay989 WELL I AM SAT HERE PISS UP ON WHISKY AND IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD I DONT NO WHAT THE HELL THAT'S SAYS FUCK IF BED TIME TA TA

  • either the audio is off sync or the heroin was really taking it's toll

  • This looks like a completely different performance for the song that's playing.

  • Great sing, Great singer and Great film clip. But please don't take liberty's and post as a live song when its not the video for it. Or state 'live song with unrelated video ' so we know what we are going to look at. With regards to Janis, I would look at a blank screen just to hear her voice. Upset when post is half of whats promised...

  • this is a total fuckup! i agree this looks like "cry baby"

there is no fucking reason to submit such crap!

  • Good song, Good video, just not in sync.

  • @spaden777

actually, this video is Cry Baby (Toronto 1970)

    but who cares

  • Love Love Love her my mom was so mad when I went "out" with friends in HS and saw here live, we were a little young she thought, LOL when Janis died my boyfriend, a total Janis lovr left and hitchhiked to Texas and stayed with Janis' Mother, no kidding, but that was the 70s and we had alot less rules and more fun and lived more than anyone is able to these days and no not everyone took drugs. We lived, loved and they years past and Iwouldn't trade those memories for anything.

  • The soul that comes out of her is so powerful.WE need that now most show their body so much that all they do is put alot of glitter and music so loud that you can't tell if they can sing or not but, most will still buy it because most kids go crazy over it because their outfit is cool.I would love to hear good music again.

  • It would´ve been something to see this woman live.

  • @Livsangel We did! Not so bad to show our age at times LOL We lived oh did we live!

  • The little town of Beaumont Teas produced both her & George Jones. Must be something in the water. That's a boatload of talent for one small town.

  • @tswinburn1 actually Janis was born in Port Arthur, Texas and George was from Vidor, Texas. Close but definitely NOT Beaumont.

  • MISS U JANIS.....

  • I should not listen to this song as I work as it is hard to see the numbers on the invoices I am processing through the tears.

  • @rustydog1236 "I should not listen to this song as I work as it is hard to see the numbers on the invoices I am processing through the tears." Aw bless. (<-in a nonreligious way...I hear old Brit ladies say it :)) Thanks for posting. I could picture it/relate (w/19 clicks(at moment)that's obviously "we" not "I") Me personally, I am a sap, for lack of better words. A lot of stuff makes me cry. But in a good way, like a "my heart esploded" way. ex: Janis had made me cry about 3 times today. :)

  • i was so into it and happy until the narrator said "in less then three months she was dead..."

  • she was completely drunk and drugged, but his music has soul even in this state, is the difference between the artist today, today play to earn money not to show what they feel ...

  • Also, nothing means nothing but it's free.

  • "Freedom's just another word..." means you have lost everything of value to you. You are free to move on whether that was your game plan or not, and you have no choice. You have no freedom to choose - it's just what comes up next.

  • She wasn't a looker but had a sexy vox!

  • what song is she singing on this concert?

''Me and Bobby Mcgee'' is clearly just been played in the background while the video was on mute!

  • @yuyevon89

Look for "Janis Joplin - Cry Baby (live in toronto 1970)"

    I think it´s that video.

  • Ya Know Kris Kristofferson still says that her changing the words around ticked him off at first...lmao.....she did it well, she did it well!

  • her voice hypnotizes..

  • My mother is a very big van of Janis Joplin she loves her an all her music

  • Probably the reason that she stated that the song had been written by Kris Kristofferson was that at the time they were dating each other.

  • ok good ho yeah Janis Choplin. et ok Pink chante bien et elle dit PINK QUE jANIS CHOPLIN EST EST SON HÉROS CELA EST BIEN CAR ELLE LA fait revivre la chanteuse Janis CHOPLIN HIT GOOD MERCI A TOI PINK DE NS FAIRE REVENIRE UJSTE QUE DE BON SOUVENIRE...))))

  • She was a great singer, but her life on drugs should be a warning to anyone who thinks a drugged life is a good one. RIP Janis. May you, Jimi, and all the others who died via drug overdoses help others to not go that way.

  • i love this song im 21 years old man

  • @lgerman89 Then you know real music. I'm 51, hitchhiked everywhere, and done everything I shouldna done. Janis is Queen.

  • @lgerman89 Why does it matter how old you are, hell I'm 17 and I love this song, so what? If it's good why wouldn't you listen to it.

  • Last seconds are a bit morbid.....less then 3 months later, Joplin was dead...... *sigh*

  • I LOVE this song !!!! I used to sing it to my son when he was small. My sons name is Bobby.

  • It's sweet that she told every body who wrote the song. Most artists don't bother.

  • @asdfasdfasdfasdfa978

Well that would be because you are a necropheliac... most necros like em still warm, but I think you would be lucky just to find any meat on them bones!

    outstanding performance

  • One of the best songs ever written, and her version simply is divine!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose... So true. I'm 16, and this is one of my favorite songs.

  • @SomeoneCrazy2 Wow your just a baby but ya got good taste in music.

  • wow epic

  • EPIC!

Thank you Janis for giving us this music. Such a beautiful soul.

  • Way for you , Americans she do not means so much so to us , who was in a communist restrictions!!!???? We appreciate she very much and love she!!!

  • @catindarkkness i just wanted to let you know so no rude asses will start anything with you....you say "her" instead of "she" in that last sentence :)

  • @abrown144 Sorry!!! I am some "out" of English!! Too us to be out of something Is: varza--cabbage!!! like i am!!!

  • @catindarkkness why are you being rude? i was trying to be nice and let you know so somebody else wouldnt say something mean about it. you know what just forget im sorry i bothered you.

  • OK truly Janis is completely HIGH JACKED in this rendition....and the tag of the video announcing her death is NO excuse. Total abuse of her artistic talent. You should be ashamed....

  • @dbrinkmans thank you for comment! for us was an stupid, unexpected death, but it seem... was a long time ... but anyone could not see and help she??!! Well, she was a pearl!!! from many, many ears i try to find she, but rely, i was disappointed!! Yes, she remind a value !!

  • She may be gone, but her music will live on forever. No one has ever or will ever replace her style of music. Slick194

  • 57 Narcs pressed the dislike button!!!!!!

  • I love you Janis...since I was 13...im almost f@cking 50! 35 years thats a lot of LPs CDs & cassettes over the years. I hope your money was well spent. I'm glad your estate finally hired a representative so we can finally hear your unreleased songs, over 40 years after you left...

  • bad synk the mouth and the music. But i Love Janis anyway. her life endided so tragicly. With a needle in the arm Sorry for my spelling

  • Glad to find this and to hear her singing so beautifully. I like it that there is a live version of this gem and it adds to the best known version. Both are wonderfull(sp?). Thank you!!!!

  • My mom (RIP) appreciated great music and I listented to and loved all her great music as a kid. She took me to many concerts. I love great music from any era. Just seems there's less of it now. I'm just glad that Janis was. I feel the same way about Kurt Cobain. Most ppl weren't exposed to the lifestyle I was as a kid. Young ppl believed drugs were good and didn't want to end up like their parents. Janis was from Texas like me and most adults in the 60's despised the 'hippies: mom went up north.

  • Janis told it like it was. She held nothing back. She was a fantastic artist. Sure a lot of people don't or didn't like her, but more did than didn't. We lost a lot of good people in those days, from the jungles of Vietnam, to the streets of San Francisco. God rest your soles, Peace and love to all.
