  • Oส็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็Mส็

  • Wait, you mean to tell me there are no African-AMERICANS in China?

  • @UndeadSon ? she obviouisly was being pc and not saying 'black'...but anyway, there's almost no black people in china. not from america, not from anywhere.

  • @UndeadSon Some people, like her, will take the safe route and go with African-American even if it technically isn't the right term. There are those who think that saying "black" will come out offensive, depending on what they're talking about.

  • @cinderellacomplex7 are you saying that calling a person black will offend no-one with black skin, iow of (biologically) African origin? That is to say, having in mind all the negativity the word BLACK has been imbued with the past 500 years or so.

  • @mysterychemistry Not all black people are of African-origin...that it what she means.

  • @mysterychemistry And I have never met any black person that has been offend by the use of the term black. When Black people were being abused....they weren't called black...they were called another word...that we don't use anymore. Or colored...which we also don't use.

Why retrospectively place meaning the word BLACK.

It is more insulting and racist to me to assume everyone with dark skin identifies themselve as African-American or is even of that origin.

  • @GDFullOn I get it. black ppl dont mind being called black. What I dont understand is how blacks are not of African origin anthropologically speaking. Whites everywhere are called Caucasian, although they've never been in Russia, but they don't find it offensive. It's a known fact that ppl of black skin appeared originally in Africa, and then spread. or is being connected to Africa bad? I'd really like to hear what black ppl think abt this. o/c I'm not talking Aborigines, mestizos etc.

  • @mysterychemistry I think it's more that a person of for example German heritage in America is not called German-American, they're simply called American. A lot of black people currently living in America have very little connection to Africa because their ancestors have been living in America for so long. The word Caucasian may have at some point described people from a certain area but today it's not commonly used in that way.

  • @TheSweetDream It's a euphemism for "Negro," not a statement of national original.

  • @UndeadSon

Yes there are, but the Chinese just call em Phillipinos

  • I love her laugh

  • gigetty

  • Cannot believe she's 43! unbelievable!!
