Hmmm. Not sure what you mean about "where" it should burn. All the fire in my stove takes place in the firebox, none in the chimney pipe. But I'm not sure that's what you're asking.
Sorry to say I have no idea what the temperature in the stove is. Never felt the need to know.

Lee, could you tell me where my Regency (with automatic fan) should burn?? I got two magnetic thermometers, placed one right at the junction of the flue and the fireplace and the second about 18 inches up the flue. If the one 18 inches up the flue is to be in the "burn zone", the stove has to be WAY TOO HOT. What gives?? What am I supposed to do??

60's?? WOW my house would be in the 100's with the stove going. I don't light one unless it's in the 20's or less. Great vid

why is there no heat shield on the back of your stove, it looks very close to the wall..

It has a built in heat shield that allows it to be mounted that close to the wall; that's why we decided on this particular stove. Should have mentioned that. Thanks for asking.
