Personally I found 100Hz and 15dB to be better - 50Hz made everything other than the bass too quiet.

apparently this doesnt boost the bass as it will cause distortion. what it does is reduce every other frequency except the ones centering around the Hz you select. Works pretty well, but when I boost the shit out of 75Hz it kind of kills the mid range. Better than nothing, though.

That's not Microsoft's problem or concern. It's like trying to play Xbox 360 or PS3 games on a Original Nintendo. And even if you could, you would get dismal quality.
