Cruise music yeah! Smooth Jazz is turning into a waste of air space on the radio and now noise on the water, sorry but there is so much potential for exploration on Contemporary Jazz Music.

I mean, who could possibly enjoy cruising around the Caribbean in glorious weather listening to fabulous musicians when you could be in some sweaty dunghole club in Pig's Knuckle Arkansas being bored to insanity by a bunch of fat cokeheads playing four different "tunes" in different keys at the same time in the name of "art"? Tough choice.

There is some truth to your comment. Music is very complex and much exploration IS being done. Pop jazz is an off shoot of your "contemporary" taste. However, most can't appreciate what they don't remotely understand. "Good" music is defined by how much it is loved and appreciated by the listener's. Warren Hill has MANY! I would spend less time mocking others, and more time consecrating on your passion; Instead of putting others down to make "you" feel better about your short comings.
