Your all so very wrong I live in the US and their was a huge CNN story about kids doing this in Wal-Mart as well as other modern and up to date stores like radio shack and best buy I had the app did it multiple times at wallmart their system is run through a router and all routers can be hacked and thats were this app comes in...
I can see a way this could be possible. In fact, probable. While a intercom (loud speaker as some say) in usually hard wired, it's also normally hardwired into a phone network based system, of which is normally linked to computers and thus the internet as well as any wireless connections those computers are capable of connecting to. Granted it would have to be a pretty powerful program/phone because that level of network tunneling would be extremely difficult. Still possible though.
@AceLockCo You must have never actually even seen how a store intercom system works. Keep dreaming? Yeah. I'll let you do that. I however have worked on intercom systems that work almost exactly like I mentioned earlier. That's why you have to type certain numbers in the phone to do so. I recommend you do a little research before you just blare out 'WRONG!'
@daafroman - I don't know what planet you are on dude. I also don't believe what you are telling me about you working on PA systems. By the way, I do in fact sell, install and service PA systems along with many other electronic and computerized devices and have certifications in many areas of electronics and security and building mechanical systems.
@AceLockCo Actually, technical support manager. But yes, I am. Just because your specific system doesn't use the phone line doesn't mean they don't exist. Honestly. I'm starting to doubt what you say is true about installing them because honestly, this is the internet and who cares what position you are in? You can be the president for all I care and your still 'the person I don't know who goes by AceLockCo'. Point is, the system I worked on went through a PC to repeat messages. AKA: Networked.
@LGAustralia - You can't inspire people by showing them something that is not possible. There is nothing in a cell phone that can connect to a hardwired PA system using wireless technology.
Why does Korea get the cool Android ads and all we get is this super dodgy rubbish from LG (and Telstra's marketing of the HTC Desire is not much better)?
ha too funny. I like all the comments pointing out that this is an ad. Was it the LG logo at the end that gave that away? too many sherlocks out there....its better than most ads

@daafroman - WRONG! They are not linked into the computer system in any way shape or form. Keep dreaming!

@AceLockCo lol. I never said that I worked on them as a profession. I did however work at a store that had this system and I was told to fix it.
daafroman 11 months ago
@daafroman - Oh, so you are a store clerk and you are going to tell the installer how the system works.
