  • These guys are clearly actors and not the real Founding Fathers.

  • Tip of the iceberg !

  • LMFAOMLFAOMFL

  • Brilliant ad!

  • I LOVE IT, time to wake up America!

  • YES! YES! YES! Damn, how I wish I lived in Alabama so I can vote for this guy! Congress? Hell with that! Rick Barber belongs in the White House!

  • Gather Your Armies

  • @kagetoh Sorry, the peacetime progressive income tax began in 1917 AFTER a constitutional amendment (a progressive tax was unconstitutional). There was an income tax earlier - but that was only in effect during the Civil War. It was passed using the President's War Powers authority but most people think it was still unconstitutional.

  • awesome video! Just got back from afghanistan fighting for this country and im sick with what we re becoming. much more and it may come to this.

"the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots from time to time" " A government big enough to give you everything is big enough to take away everything" -Thomas Jefferson

  • Love It, Your Point Well Taken, these Idiots think by slamming you that it's going to stop this, This is a Movement, you can't stop the truth from Prevailing, and these liberals who think they can post negative comments & that its going to stop this are only floundering in their own misery.

  • I love it. Exactly the reaction Jefferson, Madison, Washington, and Sam Adams would have if they could see us now. We're in worse trouble than they were.

  • YEA! i LIKE IT!

Now before all you anti-Tea Party people start whining about 'creating atmospheres of violence' here's my word. SHUT UP. Your cohorts from the 1960s on hit the streets talking about 'fighting' or 'bringing down' or 'destroying' the system. You did. So don't get all whiney over a simple political ad.

It's called freedom of speech--and even people who don't worship obama can endulge in it.

  • Fan-fucking-tastic.

  • Is this a joke?

  • "The will of the people is the only legitimate foundation of any government, and to protect its free expression should be our first object."

    Thomas Jefferson

  • @SZSearcher freedom of expression also applies to us poking fun at extremists

  • @301Goldstar What the founding fathers stood for, and what they were ACTUALLY fighting.

  • this was so goddamn awful, it has literally ruined my day. you cant even make this shit up.

  • @En19m471k yeah i live in the south.i wish the u.s. would make all the southern states secede...

  • "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."

Hmm, so that'd be Barber there. Or George Washington, to be specific, >.>

And funny how he makes an ad on Abe saying the income tax is slavery, when Abe made the first income tax. Thank ye, Abe!

  • @jubbjubb232

Ahaha, lolz. Get an IPill to be safe, first. ;)

  • On "Hard Ball" with Chris Mathews, 6/30/2010, Barber was proven by Mathews to be the fraud he truly is. Thank GOD! Yes, I said God, you reactionaries.

  • Only in Alabama (or MIssissippi) could a redneck have imaginary conversations with dead Presidents and the voters actually take it seriously. I loved watching Chris Matthews smack that idiot Barber down. The Tea Party is Nucking Futs.

  • o.k.I don't agree with Barbers commercials but he has every right to run them.I also think both parties in power SUCK HAMMERED SHIT.Tea party is no better, they have nuts like Palin/Beck as supporters with their 9/12 shit. I just saw Barber on Hardball & Tweety Matthews was soooo fucking rude to the guy. Why do we have assholes like Matthews, Olbermann, Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck & every other fucking nut brainwashing our America. Fucking think for yourselves people. These fuckers are all crooked.

  • I AGREE BUT WAS HE AGAINST BUSH AS MUCH AS HE IS AGAINST THE OBAMANATION?

  • GATHER. YOUR. ARMIES.

    *BURNURNU BENENEN BURNUN BENENENE*

  • @TDSD1

That the Pink Panther theme? (:-?)

  • @kingaj100 Or better yet, there should be a TAX huh? you're a historical idiot.

  • What a GREAT ad!

  • this add is friggen awwwweeesssooommmeeeee!

  • GATHER. YOURE. ARMIES.

  • "I'm Rick Barber, and I approve of treason."

  • Wow. This is ridiculously misleading. But, why educate the uneducated when you can just stir up violence in name of getting votes.

Unfortunately, like every other politician, it's all smoke and mirrors. When (if) they get elected, they just find someone's pocket to crawl in and do nothing until it's time to get reelected.

  • Didn't President Washington approve the first tax levied by the federal government, which happened to be on whiskey? ... & When the whiskey tax met with resistance ("The Whiskey Rebellion"), didn't he send the army to enforce the tax and allow agents to collect the revenue from the distillers? This ad sound like it's endorsing a kind of revisionist history ...

  • Is this ad a joke? Do people actually believe the American Revolution started because of a tea tax? And he is running for congress???? Maybe you tea-baggers should read "Common Sense" by Thomas Paine. That pamphlet was said to be the catalyst of the American Revolution..but I'm betting you could get a large lesson just from the damn title... lol

  • @darwinkilledgod Then the government will retain it's constitutional mandate to defend its citizens against violence. If you think that it has lost its democratic justification for action then by all means act as you see fit, but understand that those who still support the government will support it as it prevents violence against it or citizens under it. If I agree that it has reached a point that it cannot be supported than I will join you knowing that it will and must act against me.

  • @UnGato7 I had a debate recently about what level of tyranny has to exist before one can morally use violence. Someone pointed out that as long as their are elections there's hope for the government. It was a good point I think; the problem is the public schools have erased America...no one learns about limited government anymore.

  • @darwinkilledgod I certainly learned about it in my school. I just decided that limited government is, in the sense that it is used now, not the right way to go. I know people who decided the other way.

The point at which you and your peers no longer choose who leads you is when it has gone too far. Or, if you are amongst those initiating the tyranny, the point at which you no longer must worry that you will *not* choose.

  • Right on Rick! Don't let these limp wrist-ed libs scare you off....kick their ass.

  • Rick BArber is an idiot. Teabaggers - no intelligence.

  • HAHAHAHAAHA wow that was fucking hilarious

  • You can't vote Rick? "Without representation"? Isn't what you're suggesting in this ad tantamount to treason? Armed rebellion?

  • lmao wow this video is hilarious, if he was running for a spot on comedy central he sure would have my vote.

  • Comment removed

  • He is a traiderous and a MORON

  • You are an immature bastard. "In bed with obama" You are really intelligent, not.

  • No votes from me or my people!!!! Dumb ad for Dumb people!!!!!

  • this is the type of shit ppl from other countries look at laugh their asses off.

if the right wing was oppressed by the all powerful government why did virginia, ohio, and florida all voted for obama?

its just a small group of extremist old psedo patriots that fuel this type of embarrassment.

  • @esco42085 the way that we've given our country over to corporate interests was just as repugnant to the framers.

  • :: READY YOUR XANAX ::

  • LOLWUT

  • oh how nice it would be to have a couple of hundred guys with this courage in the house and senate.... FRESHMAN 50, YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. Make us proud!

  • He should have had a clip of Nancy Pelosi saying, "Are you serious?" in response to a question from a reporter asking where the Constitution gives her the ability to mandate that US citizens purchase health insurance. And replaced "gather your armies" with "load your rifles."

  • @darwinkilledgod He would be actively advocating violence at that point. That's the point at which free speech no longer protects you. He's nearly advocating violence now.

  • You're hilarious! Are you auditioning for Saturday Night Life? I love your comic timing!

  • ha. the American sheep won't vote for Rick Barber. he is not a politician he is a working man, If you don't throw fancy words in and make absurd promises you just won't get votes. Obama leaves the United States weak, that means many profit from American mistakes. thank you American sheep. thank you

  • was good until the gather your armies ending

  • LOL WUT IS THIS I DONT EVEN!

  • Outstanding

  • I like this guy. We need hundreds more like him in Sodom, D.,C.

  • The great thing is we can gather our armies at the voting booth that is the heritage which we have received. When judges and leaders attempt to take that ability away they will have earned the hangings they will receive.

  • The excesses of government which we accept today would've provoked open rebellion in our forbears. The lies, the irresponsible spending, the encrouchment on liberty, the submission to our enemies, and the lifting up of hedonism would have not stood while Washington, Jefferson, Adams, and Franklin lived.

  • @Ma3lst0rm Alexander Hamilton want a Monarchy. Please stop pretending you have any idea what you're talking about.

  • AMEN

  • Bad Ass

  • Would you really defend it with your life???

  • @crazymike44 Started to be saracastic but figured that would go over your head. Anytime you join the military especially the Marines you show that you are indeed willing to defend our country/Constitution with you life.

  • @crazymike44 Seriously.

"I defend the right to choose whether or not my life is defended with my life!"

Why wouldn't you want health care?

  • ...I see my posts have been deleted. This will likely not go up, but I might as well try anyway. Icaucus, while an ad is an ad and limited in scope, if it sparks discussion, then the whole point of youtube's comment ability is served. I didn't act harshly to anyone in my posts; I simply corrected them on basic administrative law and the Enabling Act so to create an honest conversation rather than circular anger. Taking that away creates an echo chamber that people end up ignoring.

  • @papercrow27 the issue is that dozens of people have said the same thing. No one is stupid or lacks knowledge of history-but symbolism, metaphors are being drawn & used. People complain & I have over 100 emails to prove this-about people posting same crap over & over again about this not being accurate or that not being accurate...NOT a history lesson.

  • Good one !

  • @rcommins2 Don't guess you HAPPENED to NOTICE who is in bed with BP-hhhmm appears to be OBAMA.....

  • @ICAUCUSREGION6 and yet the republicans were the ones trying to pass a bailout bill for BP with out tax dollars, as well as apologizing to BP when the democrats made them put aside 20 billion for the americans most affected by it.

  • @ICAUCUSREGION6

Appears to be government in general but don't let me stop you from framing this as a right vs left issue.

  • @papercrow27 please refer back to day 1 of the ad comments. It is an AD it is not a civics lesson or history lesson. I warned then that same old same old posts would be removed. Fact everyone KNOWS that IRS does not legislate tax laws-HOWEVER & if you don't get this you have not been following what is going on in DC-the IRS CAN RAISE your taxes by how they choose to interpret one of their millions of rules. Everyone knows facts about TeaTax-but it was rally cry. SAME OLD gets removed

  • ICAUSUSREGION6 is right.

We are technically a Constitutional Repubic.

This has been subverted into an unlimited democracy so the mob can vote its will.

The mob gets more and more of less and less until one day we are all slaves, or dead - all equal in misery.

I disagree on one point - We are all born with natural rights - therefore tenents of the Constitution's Bill of Rights apply to everyone. The Constitution, of course, is for our Union of States, albeit no longer voluntary.

  • The people voting down are the liberal left afraid of the truth getting out! Good luck Rick!

  • @TrashcanMan76 You mean the people voting it down are probably the ones who disagree with him, and are more likely on the other end of the political spectrum? BRILLIANT! Way to crack the conspiracy wide open, you goddamned idiot.

  • The Federal Income Tax is lie and a scam, there is no law saying that the avg. American ( you and I ) has to pay it. If you do pay it or have it stolen out of you paycheck do you know where it really goes?? It goes to the international banksters, not to pay for new roads, schools, repairs or anything like that.

  • Rick Barber, I will move to Alabama just to cast my vote for you sir.

  • 100% correct!!!!

  • Love this video!

  • Mr. Barber is the change we need. Look folks our governing system is not running nor listening to us. Let’s get some new blood in the halls of our American government and give them a chance. Look this guy pledged an oath to protect the US Constitution as an officer in the Marine Corps. How many of you have done this? If you have not then you just don’t understand us that have. Mr. Barber I am with you.

  • AWESOME!

I'D VOTE HIM IN FOR LIFE!

if that was his true idea and not just a saying to get elected

  • I was worried that Rick Barber did not approve of this message even though he starred in it - imagine my relief to be told that he did, in fact, approve this message.

  • Who the hell is voting this video down?

Sad to know there are that many sheep in the world.

  • Thank God!

  • that's awesome

  • This always gives me a chuckle.

  • Rock On!!!

Support and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

Stand strong - we stand with you.

  • I can't believe how great this video is! I want to vote for him, too.

  • The founding fathers revolted over a tea tax. But they also didn't let women vote, and some of them owned slaves. While they were way ahead of their time on a lot of issues, maybe we shouldn't view them as our moral gold standard for political decisions made today.

  • This video is pure, 100% truth... anyone who downvoted is incapable of accepting facts

  • @smunp

No they are just idiot liberals. Facts and truth means nothing to them.

  • Look at the ratings for this video,

    761 thumbs up, or Constitutionalists.

    And

586 thumbs down from Left Wing Obama-Pelosi supporting douchebags.

  • the God's honest truth. vote conservative for America's sake.

  • Here you go. This guy will stir it up!

  • GATHER

    YOUR

    ARMIES

  • And what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. - Jefferson 1787 (the ambassador to France) And AFTER he said that we elected him President!

  • One assumes that the guys around the table represent the framers, so I'll just leave it at Jefferson's opinion: And what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. 1787

  • Great ad. I would vote for him in a nano-second.

  • A++++ now lets see if anyone actually has the balls to hold the government accountable like they did back then.

  • Wish I was in the second district, instead I seem to be stuck with Bobby Bright

  • We need to go French Revolution on these Bastards !

  • I'd vote for him.

  • "And as it were a whisper in the distance, I heard it. It continued to grow in volume, a low-pitched whine at first, then a piercing howl. Eventually it become a deafening scream, and with it followed a thousand butthurt liberals losing their wits."

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • Rick Barber for President!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gather your armies!!!

  • already Have.....

  • Look no further than the recent 'Health Care" bill. At the request of the IRS, it included a provision that requires all Corporations to submit 1099's to every entity to which they have paid more than $600 per year. These increasing burdensome costs for small business amount to another de facto tax increase initiated by the unelected IRS.

Time to turn off the TV people. Start doing some reading.

  • @anotherunixd0rk you really should not advertise your ignorance about this country. We are not a democracy

  • @ICAUCUSREGION6

    Indeed.

  • @ICAUCUSREGION6 The Constitution specifies a republic, but the process of governance through inclusive voting is a type of democracy. We are both.

  • @UnGato7 No one said we were not both, but above all else in the words of the Benjamin Franklin, "A Republic if you can keep it."

  • @ICAUCUSREGION6 "We are not a democracy"

Yep, that's pretty clear. YOU said we're not both by saying that one of the two (two being a necessary component of the word "both") is not correct. Then again, a conservative blatantly lying about what they said previously is not the surprise I wish it were.

  • @ICAUCUSREGION6 Worse was the arrogance you displayed while claiming it. Again, quoting your words directly seems appropriate.

"you really should not advertise your ignorance about this country"

  • @papercrow27 are you people really that dumb? Talk to a CPA....the IRS can decide to interpret a provision anyway they want anytime.

  • @DeathMagusScythe Sorry you are unable to grasp the concept. The IRS for your information interprets the tax code they can effectively RAISE your taxes ANYTIME they choose by changing how they interpret a code. Don't believe me ask a REAL CPA .

  • @lcast009 primarily because it is a campaign ad NOT a history lesson. If you are too stupid to make the connections & don't "get it" that does not mean that others have to be subjected to the same crap over & over.

  • @dhead22 Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom to force others to give you a soap box or freedom to make people listen to you.

  • @dhead22 Yes we believe in freedom, but we also respect others & their right not to have to tolerate vulgarity. Because some progressives can not control their language yes your comment has to be approved. Maybe if progressives would learn to discuss issues rather than sling insults &vulgarity it would not be necessary

  • Hooah! I think you need to visit Colorado, maybe some of that moxie will rub off on our conservative candidates.

  • Congress?

    Rick Barber for President!

    Barber 2012!

  • ✭✭✭✭✭

  • Fantastic commercial! As a previous tax accountant now in health care I believe this commercial is spot on. It might be confusing to some to say that the IRS directly raises taxes. While the IRS does not write tax law they do interpret them, as with any law there are "grey areas" which are left up to the interpretation of the IRS and their court system.

As for the supreme court comment by buddha, I'm not sure what u r talking about. Who cares what Jefferson did in regard to the bible?

  • ✭✭✭✭✭

  • he got my vote

  • @finefilth I'll be donating to him shortly. Thanks MSNBC!!

  • GENIUS!

  • Our nation is at a crossroads.

    Socialist Democracy or Constitutional Republic.

    The two ideologies cannot co-exist.

As for me-I'll stand for the Republic.

  • This is the the most powerful political ad that I've ever watched. It says so much in a small amount of time. Though I live across the US from him, he will get a campaign contribution from me. Good Luck in your run off election Rick!

  • AWESOME, go get 'em - I'm in VERMONT and I approve this message!

  • omg ima donate to this guy, cause this commercial is fucking awesome

  • The Progressives can't understand that their way of thinking fails miserably in modern times. Jimmy Carter what a mess. Bill Clinton Became a fiscal conservative after he raised taxes and the Dem's lost control of Congress. Now B.O. is walking down the same path as Carter. His Presidential Approval rating Gallup Poll has 45% Americans approve and 46% percent disapprove. Way to go Mr. President. You are impeaching yourself in 2 1/2 years with the voters.

  • Like the Clintons said when Kerry lost. " The reason he lost is that they we not liberal enough" Now the right need to be more conservative. Rick is just saying what a lot are thinking now that we have "liberal enough".

  • Having been involved in numerous campaigns on a high level, including Congressional races, I've always prided myself in creating interesting and catchy concepts for political tv ads....but this one tops it. Most everyone in this chat I can tell really doesn't understand the purpose of how a political ad is written. The candidate doesn't care if you like it or not, what he/she wants is for it to be "effective." The last line was carefully considered - and I think it creates the buzz intended.

  • Way to go...let's take this country back!

  • Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.

    Patbuddha

What does the word ESTABLISHMENT mean in the context of this sentence?

  • I don't want to wake up one morning and wonder what the hell happened. If we don't take control of our futuer we will fall, as did Rome and all the other democracis who took freedom for granted. My family wrote the word freedom with their blood and I owe them everything.

  • It's about time a candidate developed the backbone to say what needs to be said.

"Liberal" season is coming and I can't wait.

Our biggest enemies are white, were born here, and call themselves “Liberals” and progressives to hide their evil communist tendencies.

  • About time someone stepped up to the plate.

  • @ICAUCUSREGION6

Sir, good luck in the race, we need more patriots as yourself to run for public office.

God will bless a brave and just man,.

    God Bless..

  • Patbuddha, your fallacy is you think that by eliminating Christianity from the government you will have a separation of religion from the state. Separation by your erroneous view is impossible as all people bring prepositional views based on their FAITH assumptions to every issue of life. There are no facts floating around. As Vantil once said: "culture is religion externalized" Look at a culture and it will reflect the faith assumptions of that people.

  • Best Political Commercial Ever!

  • Gen. Master Kush: I'm in california and I 'm voting for Rick Barber. POWER TO THE PEOPLE !!!

  • I lol'd. What an idiot this Rick Barber seems to be. The IRS doesn't raise taxes. The IRS doesn't mandate health care.

  • @DeathMagusScythe obviously you have not been following national events. The IRS CAN RAISE TAXES-it is a pretty simple matter for them to do so,it can be done by how they choose to "interpret" one of the millions of regulations. While technically the IRS is not mandating healthcare-they are the ones that are going to be responsible for making sure Americans toe the socialistic line & buy healthcare. Maybe you should read the HC bill before you comment.

  • @ICAUCUSREGION6 I wish I was in the second district, Instead I seem to be stuck With Bobby Bright, while he has a fairly good voting record He is Not Proactive enough to suit me, but then He is a Newbie

  • @RCMANX Rick is your chance to get rid of Bobby Bright-that will be who he runs against in Nov. Right now he is in primary runoff on 7/13.

  • @DeathMagusScythe I can tell you're one of the many who have not read the healthcare reform act. Stop running your mouth, read it, and maybe you'll learn that Barber is 100% correct, specifically on the powers given to the IRS. I know, I do legal work for the IRS.

  • @DeathMagusScythe WOW.. unfortunately there are so many people who just don't get it like yourself. Congress gives mandate to IRS and upto IRS to "enforce." IRS has its own regulation which it writes itself.

  • @DeathMagusScythe

I happen to be a Tax Accountant and I'd say you are the idiot and just irritated about hearing the truth. See my comment above if you care to look at it from an intellectual standpoint, but something tells me you are incapable of this. Prove me wrong please.

  • @DeathMagusScythe Actualy, yes. The IRS is in fact the enforcement body for the new health care regulations.

  • Alabama first, the South second and the Union third.

  • Remember remember the second of November........... Kick the traitors out of DC.

  • I wish this man was running in my state!!!! This is the BEST political ad I have every seen!!!! What a GREAT American!!!!

  • This... is.... AWESOME.

  • thank you icaucusregion6 for posting this vid im sick of big gov we need to take america vote out all those leftist pricks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOVE THIS !!!!!1 Excellent ad & so so true. people it's almost time.

  • Those of us that can't vote for Rick Barber in Alabama can vote for him in the rest of the country with a Rick Barber money bomb!

  • Are you kidding me? How could anyone NOT like this video? Are you people sleeping on the toilette or what? I WANT America back NOW. MY AMERICA NOW! MY AMERICA NOW! MY AMERICA NOW!

  • Hell yeah!

  • George Washington was so against taxation that he sent a militia to suppress an uprising of some folks who didn't want to pay their whiskey taxes. When will these fools stop trying to revise history? Oh and Thomas Jefferson was a fundamentalist Christian who managed to get a church/state separation clause into the Constitution.

  • @patbuddha ah please tell me WHERE THE CHURCH/STATE SEPARATION CAUSE IS IN THE CONSTITUTION??????? Come on back it up if your going to post it prove it.

  • @ICAUCUSREGION6 Amendment #1: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." To say that this doesn't mean the same thing as "separation of church and state" is like saying a statue prohibiting the "intentional killing of another" is not not the same as murder because it doesn't use the actual word "murder".

  • @patbuddha gawd you make most liberals look brilliant & that is hard to do. Fact the founding fathers WERE not saying separation of church &state. What they were saying had to do with religious freedom, there was to be NO FORCED state religion like the Church of England. Had nothing to do with church & state. Why do you think that the President takes oath of office with Hand on Bible? That all sessions are opened with prayer? And so on...Your dead wrong like most libs..
