Really, really really good. The content, the music, the video. Well done to all involved. All I can do is echo everybody else's comments which seems pretty lame considering. Dave, as ever I'm truly stunned by the quality of your craftsmanship and passion. The video setting, sadly, will never be the same again. I guess you know what I mean.
awsome!!!!! I want to learn this, watching my college tutor hand paint a sign was incredible but this is just in a different league altogether, you are very tallented :-)
Amazing Amazing Amazing - just as good as when you had Rocky sunburnt across your shoulders at 16 ! - Fantastic insight to your incredible talent - Jonny D
Exceptional! Great film.I spent 22 years as a signwriter and haven't missed it til now. This is like pornography for signmen! I never met Dave, but knew he was one of the top dogs. Thank you for sharing such a brilliant talent
Fascinating film, on an unusual subject, which should be shown to Art Classes to inspire young artists. The passion of the Glassman and the skill of the film-maker hold your attention throughout - great stuff!
Wow, Dave Smith is a true Artist, the video is great and having known him personaly for many years, to truly appreciate his talents, you need to see some of the work close up, its quite amazing. Along side his traditional work he also creates modern glass art as well, I have a piece at home. I know of no other artist who can create such masterpieces out of glass. Arise sir Dave!
I actually really can't stop watching it here and on Vimeo and, I hope, lots of other places soon. But I'll hav 2 stp soon; 'cos i'm finally making sum 'thing new ^_^ But people-there's magic here..Just 2'26sec -2'-30 in and red paint trickles with all the ongoing stop motion or timelapse subtlety and amazing audio-diamond cutters-crafted in with cool music that goes dub drum 'n bass towards end...Oh! look - It's 14' 19 seconds of duration that's so good it feels like 5 minutes.. I vote GOLD.
It is like "gilded" filmmaking and you are both a "gilded" and "gifted" filmmaker.
Music by Tony Higgins excellent and D-A-Smith inspiring artist. Just like London Pride Premium Ale - THIS WAS OUTSTANDING and I for one would love to be watching it on ABC or SBS yesterday. Possibly one of your best ^_^
I like this video so much I posted a link on the world of glasscraft site for people interested in "The Craft" to view it on the vimeo site. In my opinion we have tweo fantastic artists here complimenting each other.
I would like to see Danny do another video compilation (a part Duex) of Dave's artworks in situe. I am sure dave has artwork on display in London Pubs.
WOW amazing amazing.. I was lost in this video.. Till it ended and wanted it to keep going ;)
