bullshit. you especially can't say this about females today. Females LOVE when they get looks from guys that want to bang the shit out of them. They feed off it. It makes them feel good. Even women are watching this and laughing. Women just don't like it when UNATTRACTIVE men hit on them. You never hear a woman complain about being hit on by good looking ones.
pure awesomeness. It's a shame we're blurring the lines of genders and not enjoying the differences and challenges that make the genders so special to begin with.
I love Andy Rooney. Been watching the best part of 60mins since as far as I can remember. This clip is freak'n hillarious and yet so *ahem* revealing . As a female I can understand sexual harrasment (I've had to deal with it all my life) but Rooney has a point. How can we expect more from men if they are so programmed to treat us as sexual objects. Until we all decide we're really going to start looking and acting like asexual creatures we can't expect every male to be a gentlemen!
@HolographicJulis Because women, as individuals, deserve to be treated as such. One of the intrinsic dangers of being marginalized into the submissive, underserved role that women still tend to occupy in a (let's face it) patriarchal society is the erosion of autonomy. You see a woman wearing little more than come-hither eyes on the glossy pages of maxim, and you presume that she's done the entire equality movement a disservice. This is patently untrue.
@peacefleetcollective A woman choosing to weaponize her body speaks autonomously, as does the male who, at seeing her, chooses to interpret this as a show of sexual provocation. She is no more of an ambassador for her subsect of humanity than he is, yet the expectations and aspirations of billions with whom she shares little more than a set of chromosomes are thrust upon her.
The problem lies in perception, in the perception that women (or blacks, or jews, or gays... et al.) are fundamentally interchangeable. That perception, my friend, is completely fucked.
What year was this broadcast? Harassment is obvious unwanted sexual attention that makes the woman uncomfortable. I'm sure the women models don't feel that way. But other women who do, and working with men, should be respected -and that's simply it!
@wendym1234 It would have to be the early '90s, judging by the pronunciation of "Hair-us-mint". And the Clarence Thomas topical reference. I don't know why everybody said hair-us-mint back then.
Harrisment, LOL. "Knock it off, Harris, you're making us all look bad!" I get the feeling Andy's also the type who says "urine-us" instead of "yer-anus".
All other men do is to talk about your sexy ass. Letting you join in the conversation would be awkward as hell.

Yeah, we all know women make up the vast majority of advertising executives, and said women are representative of female opinion.

Oh my god! Men are driven by their biological drive to date women in the work place! Call the presses!

So because some models posed in their underwear means all women want attention?

@steveasat2 "urine-us" is the CORRECT pronunciation.

@EmceeNolan Technically, it's "OO-run-OOZ". If you make a blood offering to "urine-us", Hades only knows what kinda crops would come up.
