I read an article about the game's soundtrack that suggests Deriviere wrote four hours worth of original material for the game. Call me greedy, but I'd love to have the 2 hours and 50 minutes worth of music that's not included on the soundtrack CD (that's probably the best thing about soundtrack releases from companies like Square Enix -- they tend to put every last piece of music on the release, even if it means the set runs 4 CDs long.)

Since playing Alone in the Dark, I've been championing Olivier Deriviere amongst my friends. I'd really like for him to do more work here in the states. He's got wonderful style.

Hearing his work realized by a live orchestra (particularly this track, which is my favorite from the game) further proves the point that this guy needs to get some big-budget film work, stat.

I really hope this concert is released on CD.

WOW. I so wish I could have been there!What is even more amazing is that he formed that soundtrack with all digital instruments, aka no real orchestra (vocals excluded) and yet he was able to nail it down for a live show with a real one. Genius man.
