Prince Philip has been a character that I find cold and stiff. Never warmed up to him.

He comes across as so elitist in everything he says and does. Snobbery doesn't begin to describe him. The Queen is more human and warm, I am happy to say.

Even as someone who isn't a monarchist/royalist I can clearly see just how much these two love each other.Philip has had his detractors more or less from day1,yet he has faithfully been her 'leigeman of life & limb' for far longer than most marriages survive today.With the world's stare following their every move they have endured much with stoicism & resolve.When marriages seem to collapse over the flimsiest of reasons theirs has stood the test of time.They are to be admired & respected.

@brabon1 Perhaps, but if you notice over time, Phillip has become much less attractive (not just from old age, but his demeanor, I believe), while Charles is much more handsome at 62 than most other men his age. I think attitude has something to do with it.

It's no wonder why her Majesty has ruled as long as she has, it must have been the Lord's will, I think, has anybody noticed how vibrant and beautiful she looks these days, and how much happier the english people seem to be. I love this video! I have just been caught in the romance called 'The Love of Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth'. They are such a perfect couple :D Pictures of them playing around with their children just melts my heart....and when they look at each other lovingly *_* so sweet! This HAS to be said.....Prince Phillip when he was younger... DAYUM! I thought i was weird and when i saw the comments just thought "LOL I'M NOT ALONE!!" I adore that picture of him in 0:40...just...SO HOT.

It sure looks like love to me. Through storms, tempests, shouts, howls.etc; they have made their marriage endure. At the end of the day, we still live one another. My parents did that through their 60+ years of marriage. It wasn't a bump free ride in the least; but love, goodwill & perseverence paid off. With our Sovereign Lady, HM the Queen & HRH Prince Phillip; I know the same philosophy will be true. God Bless them both. Peace.

I think you're on the right track that they are 'trained' not to show too much affection in public. It's a matter of protocol. I don't think Prince Phillip would deliberately walk 3 paces behind his bride if he wasn't required to do so. I do however have to argue that when they do look at each other or when they are able to be close together, there is definitely love there. :)

I love this video, It reminds of how opposites can make a marriage work wonderfully. The Queen is a Traditionalist and the Duke is a Modernist. She is Formal and he is rather Informal.Her Majesty is Historical, and His Highness is Futuristic. The Queen embraces change Consciously and Respectfully and the Princes embraces Change enthusiasticly . This should be a recipy for disaster and yet they have made it one of the Great Love Stories of British Royalty in the History of GB.

@regszikora I think that if they are still together is not because of love, but because of duty and all we know why; the Queen thinks that duty is always first. That marriage is great yeah, because of all that years together, but was not for love that they stayed together... even if it was I think that the queen is the only one that feels truly love in that couple. (affairs of the king with other women). But well, whatever that's my humble opinion, 60 years are still too much :D regards!!!
