How to import your SIM contacts directly onto the HTC Magic from Vodafone UK

Hi @xbluezx23,

If you go into people from the main menu, then select the menu key, tap import/export, tap import to SIM card, select the required contacts and select save.

hi, thanks for the instructions .

but im still having alittle problem, when i go to contacts, i select the name, and then when i press the menu button, it only says edit contact or delete contact, i couldnt find the import. export button .

Rather than selecting the name first, go into the full contacts list and then select menu and it should give you the option.

If you phone is synced with Google Mail, it will back up your contacts automatically without you needing to save to the SIM.

Once you sync the new phone with your Google Mail account, it will update the contacts to the handset. Then you are able to export to the SIM via the options in people.

Hi @viceversalol,

If they aren't already saved to your SIM, there will be an option in your contacts menu to copy them from the phone memory to the SIM. If you are trying to do this on your HTC Magic, go to the contact you want to move and then select menu and save to SIM.
