Thanks for posting this. My father was in the 16th Armored and took part in the liberation of Pilsen. Unfortunately, the exploits of the 16th have been forgotten by most. The people of Pilsen remember them fondly, and I received a card of rememberance from the mayor of Pilsen after my father's death in 2010.
