  • you suck

  • Three Whammies for both contestants.

  • Poor whammies! Poor contestants!

  • Going back to the pitch, whats up with the whammy noise, sounds deep or something lol

  • Hah hah hah, tooo badddd!!!!!

  • Aw.Poor person

  • lmao funny stuff =p

  • Aha woohoo woohoo (slams into tree)

  • The reason why everybody gets whammied on Press Your Luck during the early episodes is because on later shows there were fewer whammies. That is my theory, at least.

  • They had to totally change the boards after that one guy won about $100,000 in one show from figuring out the pattern! I remember watching that particular show too when I was a kid. That was a record for game shows back then!

  • Please tell me the pattern for the board.

  • There were six until Larsen came around. Then I think they added 16 more.

  • Michael had memorized not the complete patterns, but parts of it that earned him so much money. The full patterns can be found on Wikipedia's Michael Larson article. It says he would wait for square 2 (starting at the top left going clockwise) to light up, then the next square that lit up determined the pattern being used:

  • The places in each pattern where Michael paid the most attention:

    Pattern One: 2, 12, 1, 9, 4.

    Pattern Two: 2, 4, 12, 17, 8.

    Pattern Three: 2, 9, 17, 8.

    Pattern Four: 2, 8, 18, 16, 12, 3, 5, 11, 7, 4.

    Pattern Five: 2, 13, 17, 7, 4.
