I suspect it must get pretty darn warm inside after 5 minutes of operation? I saw a magazine once where a 455 cid Oldsmobile toronado motor and transaxle were neatly tucked into the rear of a porshe 911. To hide the motor that protruded into the rear seat area, the owner built a motor cover out of old suitcases glued together side by side, giving the impression that there was luggage in the back seat. Something like a bunch of hollowed out books in a bookshelf.

Let me tell you what I saw at an L.A. car show in 1964. It was called the "ALSetta." It was a completely functional 1955 BMW Isetta 300 powered by a 1,710 cubic inch V-12 Allison aircraft engine! The driver sat all the way in the back with an extended steering column and a little bitty seat. The same guy had a dragster at the same show called "QuadAl." It was powered by FOUR of the same type Alllison A/C engines with 4 wheel drive and 2 slicks (wheels welded together) per driving wheel!

I put a 2CV donk in a mini once,it had the smallest Garrett turbo on it, worked well enough till it caught fire. Also helped with a 3.4 XK into a Mk1 Cortina, that was a nightmare!

But basically, its not worth the time & hassle.
