I, along with many others, pray for a peaceful settlement between Israel and Palestine and wish both people the best. But Israel does have to defend itself.

I'll ask you a few questions. First, when has there ever been an independent Palestinian state? If there was, who was the leader? Second, if Britain, the former ruler of Palestine, along with the UN granted the Jews land for their homeland, how is this "stealing."

I agree with you on regarding Jews and Muslims. I know both Jews and Arabs and most of them are great people.

The area that was set asside for the state of Israel had a majority of Jews living in it already (538k jews vs 397k Arabs.) An area that had a majority of Palestinians was set asside for a Palestinian state. However, the Arabs refused a solution that granted the Jews any land. Arabs decided to attack the state and kill all jews. At that time there was no occupation.

I have to disagree with the issue of the world not recognizing the suffering of the Jews. Think of the number of Hollywood movies, documentaries etc. on the Holocaust. I don't believe any other genocide in human history has been documented as much as the Holocaust. But this is of no relevance to the current issue.

However, I see the suffering of the Palestinians coming from their incompetent leaders. The Palestinians have been offered a state many times, from 1948 forward but have rejected it each time. Their stupid leaders have decided that they want all of the land and want to "throw Israel into the sea."

Of course Israel can't let this occur and so the cycle of violence continues.

Yes, it is a very complicated issue. It is true that Palestinian leaders (just like most Middle-Eastern and Muslim leaders) are corrupt, making a bad situation even worse.

I think the only possible way this can be resolved is by looking at the root cause of the problem. It's ignorant to think of this as just a month-long or decade long struggle.

There must be reasons why Arab states didn't accept the terms of those agreements and killing Jews would not have been their motive behind the wars.
