  • hope they do this one in Sydney in November...

  • Coldplay isn't in any way "good."

  • Oh... Can't believe they have a song like Creep that everybody only knows by them. This is so much better then their early stuff. My god.

  • @armpits17 So true. And apparently the only song that 'everybody' will judge them by.

  • Really amazing. Hope people listen to Massive Attack though.

  • @armpits17 Massive Attack are fucking brilliant!

  • why it is always HAVE to be about competition everywhere? even music? wow

  • @kuul25 - People like competition. But there (for the most part) isn't any between those artists mentioned.

  • Compare them if you want to, doesn't change peoples taste. Some love just one of those 3 bands, I, personally, loves all of those 3 bands. I've seen Coldplay and Muse live at Roskilde Festival, both some of the best concerts I've ever seen! Music is music and music will always come in different sounds, names, lyrics etc and that won't change, as long as people aren't 100% the same. :)

  • whoever calls Coldplay brit pop with "depressive lyrics and sounds" obviously has not heard their last couple albums

  • @dr05guitar

Not only that, it appears he doesn't know what real "Space Rock" is.

  • Radiohead sung this song about me. Thank you very much, Mr Radiohead.

  • I fought that you would have to produce music to be considered a band but if you guys say that coldplay is a band, alright then i will trust you

  • radiohead>coldplay>muse. sweet, i compared the three bands.

  • I LOVE THE TOP COMMENTS. I really hate all those Radiohead videos that just hate on everything that's not Radiohead. I love all of the music by Coldplay, Radiohead, Muse, and almost every other alternative/indie rock band and I'm not going to force you to like it but if you don't, there's no need to leave nasty and stupid comments!

  • coldplay brings in hundreds of people to help make their latest album, muse deteriorates into shit after multiple albums inspired by radiohead b-sides (which is fine by me all of those albums were great) but radiohead, you cant really say anything bad about them.

  • 4:40

    what a bassline.

  • why is everyone comparing radiohead, muse, and coldgay.

  • i find muse and radiohead hard to compare hard to compare. coldplay is (or was before mylo xyloto) just radiohead with much less risky risks taken from album to album. that saying

that saying i like them all

  • i love this

  • Wow. This track is simply amazing. Radiohead made something timeless here.

  • Why is Radiohead amazing? Name 2 Radiohead songs that sound EXACTLY alike. *Katt Williams voice* Go 'head, I'll wait!

  • There isn't any kind of debate here, at best Coldplay and Muse are good interpretations of Radiohead. Muse and Coldplay have no influence over Radiohead whereas Coldplay is about 80% Radiohead knockoff and Muse is 40% Radiohead 40% Queen knockoff.

  • @jakejabbs wrong. you're just wrong.

  • It's a great song, but a little anti-climactic as their new longest song, having beaten the epic Paranoid Android.

  • People comparing the 3 bands have no musical sense.

    Coldplay? /facepalm

  • @SuperJosch13 high five

  • Muse makes fun catchy music, Radiohead has a more serious mellow feel, and Coldplay meets in the middle. All depends on my mood which I listen to.

  • coldplay and muse are shit compared to radiohead. nuff said.

  • I've probably givin this a good 200 hits

  • Already one of the best things they've ever done.

  • the reason i like radiohead is because of thom yorkes insane vocal range. it makes every song a story in it's own.

  • Coldplay is brit pop with depressive lyrics and sounds

Muse is Space Rock with huge eletronic/piano/guitar crazy sounds

Radiohead has genious lyrics and eletronic'ish rock (alternative)

All 3 are good in their own worlds don't campare them

  • @xynathegamer No, the former two are CRAP! They are both totally worthless.

  • @xynathegamer Lol that's a terrible analysis.

  • Comment removed

  • @xynathegamer i'm sorry, but all three of those descriptions fail to adequately describe the way any of those bands sound.

  • @xynathegamer Coldplay sucks and is not real Britpop like lets say Blur, or Super Furry Animals? Muse are pretty boring. and Radiohead are just good, everybody knows that.

  • qué tema increíble, mejor que king of limbs!

  • I don't see what is so good about Muse. I think that guy is biting of Thom Yorke big time. Coldplay has some beautiful songs and lyrics. Radiohead is one of the most original, intellectual, beautifully melodic bands of all time. No one compares to them. :)

  • didn't like king of limbs at first... It's blowing my mind right now

  • @bhaverdaddy word!

  • This feel brings me back to Hail to the Thief

  • i'm surprised this song hasn't been made illegal. it's so bloody addictive!

  • @colourcompany It should be on Itunes. This song should be on itunes,i just love that keyboard stab

  • please play this song in berlin 7th july 2012 !!!!!!

  • yeAhhhh ¡¡¡

  • I've said it before; I say it again. I bloody love this song.

  • Iam a readiohead fan, but lets face it, most of their songs are boring. Deal with that

  • @blogattacker I completely disagree.

  • @blogattacker do you know what boring even means?

  • @blogattacker I think the word you're looking for is 'repetitive'. I thought that it was boring too the first time I heard them. But keep listening to it, and then, it will all make sense. Seriously. The first time I heard this song I left the video about 30 seconds through, but now that I've listened to it more, even though its 7 minutes long, its incredible. I found myself singing this song on Christmas day o_O I'm not kidding.

    Enjoy it

  • @dramaticpickles

    Excacly same with myself...

  • @dramaticpickles Top man buy the blu-ray version of from the basement 2011

  • @blogattacker Watch your mouth matey. And your spelling

  • I've never heard them but now i really like this!!!!!!!!!

  • the early piano version is so so so so much better. especially the live in dublin one.

  • I don't love the electronic music (I don't hate it either) but his voice is what makes me listen to this.

  • *walks on sideways like eric morecombe*

    *squints*

    *smiles*

  • a girl that i kind of dated for a while turned me on to radio head.. hell yeah

  • Need the england dates thom, announce em now mate

  • step 1:listen to this track......get in a mood.

    step 2:go green and high!!!

step 3:listen to the track again and enjoy!!!!

  • Why do people compare them? That's easy: Because both Muse and Coldplay started their careers by blatantly copying Radiohead's style at the time (Pablo Honey / The Bends / OK Computer), both in terms of music and vocal style. Both bands have admitted as much, and you'd really have to be deaf not to notice that when listening to "Sunburn" or "Trouble" (or any song from their first couple of albums, really).

  • If I dont compare these 3 bands, my cancer will kill me.

  • @antisadism great... now this song will remind me of some db cancer patient looking for pity from trolls. thumbs up this yo. *open palm slap to the thigh* really?

  • Here's a comparison: SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • Comment removed

  • Coldplay, Muse and Radiohead are all worlds apart, why would anyone be so stupid to try and compare them!?!?!?

They all are great, each in their own way. Now get over it.

  • Radiohead's music always struck me as more important, more insightful than anything those other two groups ever produced.

  • @negotat4 well, more compelling, at the very least. FAR more, which keeps us listening, which is important, and allows us our own insights. i've never enjoyed putting people on pedestals - and radiohead themselves dislike that tendency. they're just a band doing what they do. ;)

  • Coldplay changes with each album, Muse ignores what everyone else considers music(and is liked because of that), adn Radiohead never ceases to amaze with each new song.

All three bands are good, but I chose to listen to this. Why? Because I wanted to.

  • @SomethingBlue1342 alll of those bands suck

  • @wagz420 Then why are you here? Really bored?

  • @SomethingBlue1342 Muse writes boring pop tunes and interesting Epics on the same album.

I wouldn't say they ignore what everyone considers music. But Radiohead is by far my favorite of that three.

  • @SomethingBlue1342 what the fuck meae??

  • @SomethingBlue1342 amazing ! to me the three bands also stands at the top of my list! each doing quite different things which makes me very very happy

  • whoever was able to adopt with time, survived.

  • LOL @ the band war going on in this thread.

  • szcuuuuuupercolli-der...

  • I don't see the dislike against Coldplay and Muse. They are, in my opinion, not much alike the Radiohead. I like Coldplay, I'm seeing their concert, but Radiohead is just as good.

  • People have to stop with these band comparisons. If a song sounds good, and you like the lyrics, then listen to the darn song. Forget if he's mainstream, or "unoriginal", or a wannabe or whatever. Good music is good music. Bad music is bad music.

  • I cant wait until Yorke caves in and says he likes Coldplay, and then there will be a vast silence when it comes to coldplay on Radiohead videos. Wether or not Yorke does, the hypothetical is still valid. Im sure people wouldnt be badmouthing Coldplay if Yorke says he likes them, simple psychology.

  • Every time these boys release a new album I think 'nah, not as good as the last one'.... then a few weeks pass. Then its the theme to my unconscious ....

    Talent. :)

  • Anyone else think that Radiohead are going to release a monster rock album soon, going further than OK Computer and The Bends went? Like, laying a big-ass marker in Rock History to stand for the next 10/20 years? We all know they can. A total departure from Kid A, which I love, but moving forwards from OK Computer. Watch this space...

  • I Can't stop Thinking "The Raindrops, The Raindrops" When i Hear this song...

  • if your feeling this song, do yourself a favor and paste this song in your browser: youtube.com/watch?v=SNxv1YNCoZM

    you won't be dissapointed.

  • @miriadofplaces your link dosen't work :/

  • What scares me is when they stop...and eventually they will, wtf is it gonna be like without new RH tracks to look forward to.

  • Ok so this one time, I tried LSD.

  • Clicked on this link accidently, best song i've heard in a while. winning

  • I tried to follow the sticks rithm.... In drugs it`s very difficult.

  • LSD

  • When we look back at life and thank the people that give our time goodness, these guys deserve 3 cheers and a pat on the back! Congratz to this Radiohead. Your no.1 fan Anthony

  • how the fuck can any of radiohead songs still get disliked?? smh... 40 ppl shld kill themselves right now!!!

  • This song is incredible. I have listened to it over a year ago. It lingered...now it is on replay.

    Merry Christmas all.

  • I just stumbled upon this. This is so awesome. And rynox77 I believe Radiohead should go down in history as the greatest band of all time.

  • Dude, shut up! I'm trying to listen to the song. Jeez, all this yammering...

  • I see Radiohead in the same catagory as a modern Pink Floyd as well but obviously they have their own unique sound and musicianship.

  • Comment removed

  • these r the best fuckin group of our times. modern pink floyd? they r the fall. from oxford. coldplay, muse snow patrol et al? you stole it off. give it back.

  • Never got a chance to really listen to this one, and now I adore it, just like any other radiohead song :P

  • is it me or is this song about the possibility of the "God Particle" bringing an end to the disillusionment of the religious institutions of the world?

"I put the shadows back into the boxes"

    makes sense to me...

  • As awesome as this is, and it is really, really awesome. I think Thom's solo piano version has an essence of its own and should be released as a B-side :)

  • Comment removed

  • @whateverhte Did you just say that Radiohead isn't perfect?

Does Dan need to smack a bitch?

  • I'm a Radiohead fanatic, no questions but... ugh. They get more and more bland. I would love for them to come full circle and make some poppy tracks like Pablo Honey with all of the skills and knowledge that they have gained over the years.

  • Comment removed

  • @lorendorky You're not a Radiohead fanatic. You're a fuck.

  • @dandaily4 Kewl story Bro. What I meant was, Radiohead are beating a dead horse when it comes to their style. The past couple albums have had so little deviation from a monotone sound. Sure there are still some amazing songs but I would like to see them stop being slaves to their own sound.

  • @lorendorky you joking?

  • No the modern Pink Floyd is Shpongle

  • @thaappaya Which is awesome, because Shpongle is the 90s version of The Dave Clark Five.

  • So much people love Radiohead but I don't know why but I'm not able to like it..........

  • @1brownpaperbag have you told your parents you're a homosex yet?

  • @1brownpaperbag Same reason some people can't find a meaning to their life maybe ?

  • Comment removed

  • Epic.

  • I think its time people realise that everyone has different opinions on music, and feels differently about different bands, and that does not mean there wrong.

Saying this.. people who don't like Radiohead...there wrong

  • It's not the epic that I was expecting when I first heard that it eclipsed the length of Paranoid Android, but I still really like it.

  • @rynox77 Lol. There'll be no more band as PF. Radiohead is good in the experiments, but that's not enough to be that good as PF was.

  • @rynox77 here are my Coldplay, Muse, and Radiohead comparisons for all to understand.

Coldplay- Is the that flashy and trendy kid (possibly gay) who tries really, really hard to be cool and for everyone to accept him, but because he's so nice and sweet, everyone likes him.

Muse- The popular kid. He tries to act like he doesnt care what everyone thinks, but secretly does.

Radiohead- The weird kid that no one understands, unpopular but he's going to grow up to be president of the united states

  • @mahavishnuxc what the fuck are you saying, makes no sense. If by being the president of united states you mean success, then I hope to never be successfull, I'd rather stay misunderstood and unpopular than having to lie to the whole world and to myself pretending I care about 310 millions people wich only interest is make money and talk about crap petending it's interesting.

  • @Matabi2 you completely missed my point on the analogy. by "president of US" i mean that Radiohead is a much more prestigious band whose fame is worldwide, whose music will be remembered. ps, im sorry you feel that way about the US government.

  • @mahavishnuxc not accurate

  • @mahavishnuxc Ron Paul???

  • @ERiiK98 no, Bill Clinton.

  • @mahavishnuxc lol. I liked your analogy. I think the good thing about Coldplay and Muse is that they open people up to variety of music, and then eventually they find bands like Radiohead. Kind of like how people read comments in a Lady Gaga video about Bjork, and then they go "who the fuck is Bjork?" and then they youtube Bjork and "WOW, I had no idea this existed" and so on.. crappy reply I know. Forgive me

  • @ERiiK98 oh i hear you, you hit the nail on the head there. I discovered Portishead because of Radiohead and Bjork, i thank them for it everyday.

  • @mahavishnuxc True! I discovered Radiohead through Tool. A Tool fan actually tracked down where Tool were one time to ask them a few questions, and he asked them "What music do you guys listen to?" and they said "We listen to a lot of Radiohead....." lol

  • @rynox77 Radiohead is awesome. Coldplay is awesome. PERIOD. Now lets listen to Supercollider...

  • @dramaticpickles yes but radiohead is better

  • @artemalbrecht Yes, they are.

  • @rynox77

    Flaming Lips?

  • @rynox77 consider yourself ostracized. now stop yammering and let me listen to the music.

  • @eggnogfrog You took the time to read his comment and respond by telling him to stop yammering so that you could listen to music when if you wanted to achieve what you're trying to do you could have just not responded at all? you're a douuuuche!

  • @rynox77 lol who knows? all i know is i love pink floyd as much as radiohead, and they both kick ass.

  • @rynox77 you seem like you have a passion for music... listen to this. enjoy.

  • ok, i tried to link a song for you. search dj cold smoke and click on "birth of the cold smoke" i think you'll enjoy

  • @rynox77 you are a smart man. i like people like you

  • @rynox77

And Radiohead is still a commercial success, without trying.

    That's what you call talent.

  • @rynox77 Well I don't know if I'd go THAT far, but I would have to agree with you that Pink Floyd is about the only band I can think of that compares with Radioheads experimental style. I don't know who would be considered more revolutionary though.

  • The LHC and this song are both giant loops.

    my mind = blown

  • This or Staricase could have replaced Feral quite easily in my opinion

  • @BMJoao The thing with TKOL is that all of the song within it were entirely experimental. Feral was just too similar to all the other songs and it didn't go anywhere in my opinion. This would have been a nice change of pace, but maybe it wouldn't have fit. I don't know.

    Either way, TKOL is amazing.

  • @xRyan5 I exclusively listen to the live recording they did from the basement. It captures some of the songs better than the studio recording did in my opinion.. Particularly bloom and feral (though not so much lotus flower).. Might be worth a download?

  • Coldplay isnt awesome. That is all.

  • ITT: a bunch of mad bros deciding whose opinion is most right.

  • Radiohead has really great sounds... they make me feel relaxed !!

  • Muse are a fantastic band - although they're a little one-dimensional compared to Radiohead. But then, so is almost every band that ever existed. Coldplay are good at what they do. Radiohead are the best - they know it and we know it.

  • Who cares if Coldplay ripped off Radiohead? They've been sued by enough people already. Thom has more talent in his dodgy eye than they have mustered up on all of their records put together. Their entire back catalogue is little more than the residue left on the wall after Radiohead recorded The Bends.

  • i understand why people comment about coldplay on radiohead videos but honestly of all the radiohead videos on youtube to compare this is not one.

  • portugal is waiting!!!

  • this is my wake up song.no better way to start the day then with some radiohead!

  • Y u no put this in TKOL?

  • Muse this, Coldplay that, opinions clashing, crashing; they ripped off Radiohead this, blah blah blah true fans that, words all falling into each other about absolutely nothing important.

    Supercollider indeed. Seems fitting.

  • Mylo what? I just pretend it doesnt exist. In my head Coldplay made FOUR albums.

  • Coldplay is crap. They were good, but nowadays they just suck
